Your All-Time Favorite DCL Food Item

All you can eat HUGE shrimp every day for lunch at the buffet.
They tasted great, but for a year before my trip I read here about the HUGE shrimp. Spoiler alert, they are not THAT huge, they are the normal sized shrimp we buy at Walmart.
I had visions of the shrimp the specialty grocery

I know this isn't a menu item, but DW loves Indian food and each time we have sailed she has asked the waitstaff for Indian food on one of the nights. With so many Indian CMs there is always a night where they make it and she has said it was some of the best she has ever had. Figure some newbies to DCL might find this tip useful.

This sounds amazing. Do you think they mind? We loovvveeee Indian food, but it seems like a lot of work for just a couple of people, don't you think?

And chocolate is chocolate and pasta is pasta like you can buy at Walmart. But, I sure do enjoy the heck out of the shrimp. We don't buy or cook any at home, any size, so I guess that is why I love them. Can't wait.

Gluten free Eggs Benedict
Chicken Strips
Mickey Bars

Sadly, I was not that impressed with any of the 14 days worth of menus we tried. Some items were good, but definitely not the best we have ever had.

I'm really interested to see what my husband and I think, because we love to eat... and we love to eat good food.

At Disneyland I was all excited to try the notorious corn dog and we were like... "hm. Tastes like a corn dog."

I have a few questions for all of you. I will be taking my first cruise this September, and although I am a pro at Disney World, I know nothing about the cruises. Help, PLEASE!!!!!
1. I see mention of dinner in three different dining rooms on a rotation basis. Are there other places to eat also?
2. What about breakfast and lunch? Are they in the same restaurants as dinner?
3. I have taken only one cruise in my life with Royal Caribbean and they had food all day long; many buffets popping up at all hours of the day and night. Does Disney have any of these also, and if so, when and where.
4. If our dinner seating is the 8:30 time, how will we be able to see the shows without missing our dinner in the nice restaurants?

Thank you and I will probably have more questions in the several months ahead.

1. Many nights there will also be dinner served in cabanas. It is plated and represents a selection of the offerings in the dining room. You also always have the option of the quick serve by the pool or room service. For an upcharge, adults in your party can do Palo (all ships)or Remy (dream class only). I will say that we find the dining rooms fun though, especially Animators palette.

2. Cabanas buffet, room service, and at least one dining room will be open. Quick service will be open as well for lunch.

3. Cabanas buffet, quick service, and room service 24 hours except the morning you disembark. There is a special late night buffet on pirate night. Cove cafe and vista cafe have various treats throughout the day.

4. You'll see the show early and eat late. People who have early seating will see the show at the later time.

Ask away!! People are generally happy to help.

Baltic.jpg Don't recall name, it was desert on Frozen Night in the Baltic - Fantastic !

Honestly, I think it has to do with the fact that we live in San Diego, so we have access to every type of food and its all really good and authentic. I also travel for a living, so I have had the opportunity to dine a lot of really awesome places. If we lived in a small town, I am sure I would think the DCL food was much more impressive, but I have a lot to compare it to...so...its not the best in my opinion.
