Your All-Time Favorite DCL Food Item

My son and his family joined my wife and me on the Fantasy a couple of years ago...and we love shrimp. The first night I asked our servers to bring a shrimp cocktail every night for the two of us. Well, like the sorcerer's apprentice, we got one each night, each slightly bigger than the last. By the fourth night it outgrew the normal container and a small dish each was presented. By the sixth night it was apparent that the freezer was cleaned out. We each got huge plates loaded with the lowly crustaceans. It had grown from a quick appetizer to the MEAL. Not having an axe or magician handy, we cried, "uncle" and told our servers to not only not bring any more, but to not mention "shrimp" ever again. Now, about those Mickey Bars with sprinkles...they're next...on our way to Alaska next June.

Elsa's Coronation Scallops (on the Frozen Menu) - I LOVED those, hands down my favourite appetiser
Beef Wellington
Grape and Gorgonzola pizza from Palo brunch (and I don't even like blue cheese!)

Special mention to the shrimp at the buffet for lunch, just because no one else in my family really eats them, so I got to have them every day

My favorite was the Sangria Bisque that is no longer offered. Sadly, I learned last week that the Strawberry Soup at Palo (which was my 2d favorite) is off the new menu.

NO.....say it's not so!! I LOVED the Strawberry Soup. I am going to cry. Well....off to Pinterest for me to hunt up the recipe. LOL

OK...my list:

Crispy Roasted Duck - Lumiere's
Pan Seared Ahi Tuna - Palo
Beef Wellington - Til We Meet Again Menu
Creamy Tomato Soup with Croutons - Room Service
Bacon, Brie and Tomato Panini - Daisy's De-lites

Anything and everything from the two meals DW and I enjoyed at Remy. If I have to pick one thing it would be the Miyazaki beef.

I'll be simple. The fried Brie. It usually ends up following me from one dining room to the next.

I love the Black Truffle Pasta Pursettes from Animators. The chocolate lava cake and the Grand Marnier Souffle. They used to have an orange mango soup that was heavenly. I learned to make that at home so I can escape to the Caribbean when needed. :)

Palo chocolate souffle!! I'm just hoping that things I've read are true and they CAN make it gluten-free!!

Chocolate soufflée from Palo one word DELICIOUSSSSSS

Question-Is this only available at dinner? We are traveling with another family for our next cruise so I am actually considering adult dining. I would rather do lunch (Or "brunch") so that the kids wont have to miss out on a family dinner. But if I'm going to splurge for Palo, I MUST finally be able to try this soufflé that I've heard so much about! lol

Yes, dinner items are only available at dinner. Brunch items are only available at brunch.

That said, they are testing some new dishes in Palo for brunch on the Wonder. One of them is a molten lava cake. Said to have hazelnut filling. And very good.

I am sure I am in the minority but haven't had anything that would knock my socks off. I really do love Mickey Bars though.
