Your 1 must do?

We were just talking about this the other day.

On our previous trip (our first) we planned to spend our final morning at MK. We ended up spending the previous evening there, and it was such a perfect way to say goodbye to MK that we didn't want to go back on the final morning, and switched our FP+ for Epcot (we got Soarin', Spaceship Earth and the Character Spot). We arrived about 30 minutes after RD, used our FP+ plus did TT 3 times in the Single Rider Line, rode Mission Space and Living with the Land, and mooched around a few shops... our final FP+ was the character spot, and it was the last thing we did before we needed to leave to get the bus back to our resort. I said goodbye to Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, and told them all we were flying home to England that evening, and they were all so sweet with us. Mickey kept blowing me kisses, Goofy gave me so many hugs, and Minnie was all over DH. It was adorable, and we're planning the same sort of schedule for our final day on our upcoming trip. It was the perfect way to end the trip... so that's my must do for our trip to mark the end of our trip: say goodbye to Mickey.

I guess it's RD, no matter what park. Taking the earliest bus ride--so jazzed with anticipation--and making our way up to-- "how long are they?" --the lines humming with first murmured conversations against the cheery music all around, to the thrill of tapping the MBs and surging forward through your favorite streets and paths. There's nothing like it, because each RD has the entire day rolled up inside it, just waiting to be unwrapped and explored.

I know this is a tough questions but what is your 1 must do for each of your Disney vacation's and why?

Good question.

So our first family trip was this summer, we thought it was a one and done trip, so if we had to pick our top single most "one must do": it was really the character M&Gs, because that's what our children wanted the most. So we focused on characters a lot more than rides.

In thinking ahead to our next trip, I don't know that I could pick just one "must do" other than to let go and follow the children's lead, the trip is about them, not us.

But, by park, as far as attractions, I would say our "must dos" will be:

AK: Rivers of Light
MK: FoF parade
HS: Star Tours
EP: Frozen Ever After

Must get a family photo in front of the Partner's Statue, it shows how the kids have grown each time we go, it is kind of like our growth chart. We used to do this with the steel Mickey ear structure in back of Contemporary Resort, but we have gotten away from that for some reason...however, the Partner Statue picture has always remained.

Magic Kingdom Railroad. From when I was a kid, it was always the first thing we did - go to MK, up the station and one complete round on the train. My dad was a steam train fan so this was always a must. My dad has since passed but I am still doing this every time we go to a Disney park - the first thing is up the train station and on the train. My youngest never met her grandfather but my two older ones did; they are both making it a big priority for their little sister now that she must do the train ride first - because it was grandpa's favorite ride.

That is such a precious way to remember your father!

Great idea! Wish I had thought of that before DS's were 24 and 15 :)

Mad tea party. It's the one ride I actually remember from my first trip when I was 4 or 5. Spinning around, breathless and exhilarated, feels kinda magical to me (while others would just feel dizzy and nauseous, ha). I can't wait to share it with my boys in 9 days.

this is HARD! We have so many family traditions. I would have to say BTMRR at rope drop, as many times as we can ride before we have to stand in a long line. It has become a game with us to the point that the CM's are laughing by the end. We will ride 3-4 times in a row right at rope drop. Just go around and get right back on.

My family...DVC members who go a lot...3 kids are in HS or college....

Eating is our big thing...must choose a couple places that are our regulars as well as a couple new places.

For rides...it's the roller coasters: BTM, SM, 7DMT, EE, RnRC (which I skip but my family loves).
