deacon?? who's that?
wait wasn't he married to broke or her daughter

While married to Bridget he had a baby with Brooke. Didn't he and Amber have some connection? Wasn't he the father of Beckys baby that Amber claimed as her own? I think I'm remembering that right.

that's right - wasn't amber involved with rick forrester too?

i sort of remember that story line but i can't remember a baby

is he going to be deacon or someone else? i can't really remember him

Amber was Rick and Bridgette's babysitter before they were SORASed. Then she ended up dating him. She slept with him and Usher's character and got pregnant. Since she didn't know who the baby belonged to, and it would be obvious if the baby was Usher's, she went to the boonies where she was from to have the baby. The baby was white, so Rick's, but was stillborn. Her cousin Becky was giving up her baby, so Amber's mother (played by the same actress that played Patty Williams) came up with the idea of passing him off as Amber's child.

Amber and Rick raised Little Eric for several years before it came out that he was Becky's child. Becky ended up dying of cancer. Deacon got custody of him and started calling him Little D.

He slept with Bridget (her first) with Brooke and Eric listening in on the phoneline (Deacon set that up on purpose) and married her. Then he ended up falling for Brooke and she got pregnant with Hope. He ended up being with Amber, Bridget, Brooke, Macy (they were going to raise the kid together but she got killed), and Jackie. Did I leave anyone out?

He left town years ago with his son. He was a scoundrel, but not a murderer. He is supposed to be playing the same character on Y&R.

Summer slips into a coma and Nick needs to be with her & Phyllis right now. So Sharon decides to lie & say the baby is Jack's so that family can stay intact. Jack doesn't know the truth and is thrilled when Sharon tells him the baby is his & he hopes that they can work things out now. Nick asks Sharon whose the father & she lies & tells him Jack & he is really hurt, and Sharon then reminds him that Phyllis and Summer need him.

Sharon's baby is a girl. SC says Jack's being very attentive to her & she feels guilty & annoyed by him & wants to just get away & she's really confused.

I think the writers are on on drugs or something.....maybe acid...they are so dazed and confused :hippie:

Are they purposely trying to loss viewers :faint::cool: I have to say that EVERY SINGLE STORY LINE is rediculous and way off kilter. And they go on and on and on just like the energizer bunny.

I say lets get back to reality with a twist.....not all this sillyness. And good Lord Heather...Good lord:rolleyes:

Ok I don't watch too many soaps and y&r us the only one right now but out of the there that I did watch bold and beautiful. As the world turns and this one. Y. Is by far the one that drags story lines out the longest. How long has it been since we heard Adam quit and everyday I keep wondering when th not only the switch but the kiss is going to happen

Got Disney....I agree with you. Things are dragging to much.

Sean Kanan ("B&B", "GH") has joined the cast of CBS' "The Young and the Restless." You may remember him as Deacon Sharpe from The Bold and the Beautiful.

I have a feeling this is the guy who's setting Daniel up. Daniel is dating Amber, and Amber was Deacon's first love.

I'm guessing there will either be A: no mention of Little D by Deacon OR Amber who raised him for a few years (and biologically is her blood relative) - we should all just forget he existed; or B: Little D is off in boarding school; or C: Little D will be SORAS-ed & come back with Deacon as a teenager, ready to get in between Noah & Eden.

I missed yesterdays episode & will miss today too - so you can view entire shows on CBS.com? Cool...I'll be doing that later tonight!

Deacon was obsessed with Amber - in that vein, it would make sense that he would want to get rid of Daniel -- see full story of deacon below:

In an eleventh hour move to stop Amber and CJ's wedding in October 2000, Rick tracked down the biological father of "little Eric" in order for him to sign over parental rights to him and Amber. Rick offered Deacon $100,000 for full custody rights to Eric III and he initially agreed. When Deacon faltered, Jonathan initiated a plan for the Forresters to force him into the deal. When Deacon discovered a bug and recording device, he took the papers and left the Forresters empty handed. The Spectras and Forresters started a bidding war for Little Eric. Deacon took the child to live with him and his girlfriend, Carmen, at his apartment above his club, The Lair. Deacon's attraction for Amber soon developed into much deeper feelings of affection. Carmen became suspicious of Amber's constant visits and Deacon's motive for not accepting the $1million offer. Carmen's jealousy intensified one night when she took Little Eric to the rooftop of Deacon's building. Amber confronted Carmen who hesitantly returned Eric to Deacon. The confrontation ensued, there was a struggle and Carmen fell to her death.

When Darryl, Deacon's father, paid Deacon a visit and left him battered and unconscious. Deacon vowed to be a better father than Daryl ever was as he continued to develop feelings for Little Eric. A legal arrangement outside of the Forrester family influence had Amber agree to a four month live-in arrangement with Deacon and Little Eric, at the end of which Deacon would relinquish all parental rights and let Amber walk away with Little Eric. Brooke's interference and convincing photographs of Rick and Amanda kissing at their interstate tennis match drove Amber into Deacons arms. A friendly kiss was interpreted by Rick as a reason to end his engagement to Amber. Deacon organized a surprise getaway for Amber to Las Vegas where they bonded. An encounter with Daryl led to a breakthrough for Deacon in overcoming his childhood demons. Stephanie informed Rick of Brooke's manipulation and searched for Amber. Rick and Amber soon reunited and planned to marry. Amber asked, and Deacon agreed, to sign papers releasing her from the four month agreement but allowing visitation to Little Eric. Eric, Stephanie, Brooke and Thorne visited Deacon at his club. He was furious when Eric boasted about not having to pay the $1million. Deacon ordered them out and promised that they would all pay for the abuse. Deacon soon developed a friendship with Bridget and both were unaware of who the other was until Bridget left Deacon her number revealing her as a Forrester. Deacon came clean and told her his name. Bridget was stunned when she realized who he was but Deacon manipulated her into thinking he cared for her. Before moving ahead with his plan to use Bridget, Deacon tried to get Rick, Brooke and Amber to stop the wedding. When Amber and Rick's wedding began, Eric stood up and asked the minister to stop as he approached Deacon and demanded he leave immediately. Eric and Brooke were mortified when Bridget announced that Deacon was her date!

The guests were asked to leave and Deacon and Amber went to the den to talk while the rest of the Forresters tried to make Bridget see Deacon's true intentions. When Rick, Eric and Brooke entered the den, Deacon forced them to choose between Amber and Bridget stating he would be leaving with one of them. Eric, Ridge and Thorne beat Deacon before throwing him out of the Forrester mansion. Bridget ran after him. In the car, Deacon proposed, they drove to Las Vegas and got married. The Forresters were shocked and appalled when they learned of Bridget's marriage and resolved the situation temporarily by letting the newlyweds stay at Taylor's Beach house without any family interference. When Eric, Brooke and Rick called Deacon on the speaker phone demanding Bridget be sent home, Deacon retaliated by leaving the phone off the hook as he made love to Bridget. The following day, Deacon has hit by a car as he exited Insomnia. At the hospital, Bridget's faith in Deacon was strengthened when he chose not to press charges against the driver who hit him - Eric.

Deacon showed guilt over his actions related to Bridget but felt it was necessary to get Amber and "Little D" back. Bridget was devastated when she overheard Deacon admit to Amber that their marriage was a farce. Bridget confronted Deacon after Amber left and drove off, humiliated. When Deacon followed her, Bridget slammed her foot on the accelerator and lost control of the car. Deacon watched helplessly as she swerved off the road. While Bidget was unconscious and still recovering from surgery, Deacon realized he did have feelings for Bridget. Deacon admitted he didn't realize how important Bridget was to him until the accident occurred and wanted to make their marriage a real one.

Despite hesitation and pressure from her family, Bridget decided to give their marriage a second chance. After Brooke insisted that Amber and Deacon discuss their feelings with one another, the two of them agreed to part ways and make their respective marriages work. Little Eric broke into a fever and brought Amber and Deacon together. They shared a passionate kiss. When Amber learned she was pregnant with Rick's baby, Deacon confessed his love. Deacon went home and told Bridget not to worry about her birth control and fantasized about making love to Amber. Brooke begged Deacon to divorce Bridget. After some faltering, Deacon began to feel that he was holding Bridget back and agreed to leave her. As they discussed stupid things they had done in the name of love, Brooke and Deacon gave in to their attraction for each other and made love.

At Big Bear, Deacon asked Bridget for a divorce. He confessed to her that he slept with someone else, but he still loved her. Bridget stood by her man and gave him another chance. At Tony and Kristen's wedding, Brooke felt ill and a pregnancy test confirmed her condition. Upon learning she was pregnant, Brooke didn't tell anyone and went to a spa while Deacon stayed in LA with his wife. Deacon helped Rick save Brooke's company from being taken over by Ridge. Brooke rewarded Deacon with the job of Head of Promotions at Forrester. After news of Brooke's pregnancy came out, Whip Jones, the man who would have had Deacon's promotion, claimed to be the father and started blackmailing Brooke. Deacon became furious when Whip tried to seduce her away from him. Deacon continued his affair with Brooke off-and-on for months. Brooke couldn't take the guilt and moved to Paris with Whip so she would be able to fight her urge to be with Deacon. Deacon went to Paris after a disturbing phone call from Whip and again slept with Brooke. Feeling so horrible about hurting her daughter again, Brooke accepted a proposal from Whip, assuming her affair with Deacon would end.

Deacon married Macy in 2003, and the two raised Little Eric together. Macy died in a tragic accident not long thereafter, and Deacon was left to raise his son alone. He tried to get his ex-wife, Bridget, back, but she was committed to Oscar Marone. Not long after, Deacon began an affair with Jackie Marone. When Massimo had a stroke, Deacon delighted in tormenting him by telling him about the affair with Jackie, even drugging Jackie with Massimo fully aware. Massimo recovered but Jackie stayed with Deacon. Shortly after Heather Engle came to work for Deacon, he started having the old craving for liquor, not realizing that Heather was in league with Massimo to get revenge on Deacon. After realizing he couldn't stop the thirst, Deacon left Los Angeles to get his life back together, leaving Jackie behind.

Deacon wasn't a nice guy. He was quite honestly a jerk (but a sexy one!). But he wasn't a murderer. I'm afraid they are going to ruin the character.

On another note, Whip is coming backto B&B. I didn't like the character before (although I loved him as Alan Michael on GL). I hope his character is better this time around.

Rick Hearst will always be Alan Michael to me! I didn't like Whip either. I just read the new Soap opera Digest but didn't learn anything I didn't already know from here!

Yep, he is the only Alan Michael I'm interested as seeing. I was hoping he was heading back to GL to finish out the show, but rumor is that B&B beat them out.

He was also on Y&R as the guy who *maybe* raped Sharon after he drugged her-I think his name was Matt???? Sharon got pregnant and Nick couldn't get out of his head that maybe the baby wasn't his, and Sharon ended up having her early and she died. When they did the dna test after her death, she was Nick's. That caused alot of problems for them at the time.

For some reason I'm remembering Eddie Cibrian as Matt - now Eddie Cibrian - he's easy on the eyes! I remember him from Sunset Beach....

He was the first Matt. Ric was actually the 3rd.

Brief Character History

Matt was a high school senior dating Sharon Collins when we first met him. Nick Newman ended up winning Sharon from Matt, who hated Nick and called him "Rich Boy." Nick and Matt got into a fight, Matt kicked Nick's butt, and Nick's father Victor swore he would teach his son to box. To get even, Matt raped Sharon. Sharon told no one but a therapist, who tried to help her deal with it. Nick's former girlfriend Amy Wilson began dating Matt even though Sharon confided that Matt had raped her. When Sharon and Nick beat out Amy and Matt as queen and king of the high school senior Polynesian dance, Matt again took revenge. He told Nick that his virginal Sharon had given up a baby for adoption when she was 16. Nick didn't believe him and they got into a bad fist fight, and both were injured. Sharon admitted to Nick that it was all true, and Nick understood eventually.

Sharon and Nick were about to get married when Sharon admitted that Matt had raped her. Nick raced to Matt's apartment only to find him on the floor in a pool of blood. The police arrested Nick, who thought Sharon did it. When Matt came to, he said Nick was the one who shot him. Nick was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Sharon and the Newman family were devastated. Victor tracked down Amy who was suffering from a serious trauma. He was convinced it was caused by something that happened the night Matt was shot. Upon seeing Matt, Amy remembered she had shot him after he raped her. Matt fled, Nick was released from prison, and Sharon and Nick married.

Four years later, Matt Clark returned to town as Carter Mills, disguised by plastic surgery, and got a job at Nick and Sharon's coffee house, Crimson Lights. He teamed up with Nick's old cellmate Larry "Wartman" Warton, both bent on revenge, plus Matt wanted Sharon for himself. Carter date rape drugged Tricia McNeil into sleeping with him, and used her to help set up Nick and put him in jail for selling drugs. Carter became a trusted employee whom they even considered as manager of their next franchise, and Sharon's confidant while Nick was in jail. One evening Carter was invited to dinner at their home, so he arranged for Nick to be very late. While waiting for Nick to arrive, Carter put a date rape drug in Sharon's margarita. Nick arrived just in time as Carter was about to rape the semi-conscious Sharon. Thinking she had drunk too much, Nick sent Carter home and helped Sharon to bed. Weeks later Tricia caught Carter attempting to rape Sharon at a cabin in the woods where he lured her, but Victor arrived and sent him running. Tricia picked Carter up and drove off a cliff expecting to kill them both. She survived with cuts and bruises, but the evil Carter/Matt had severe injuries and was expected to die. Carter deliberately pulled out his breathing tube, committing suicide to make Nick look like a murderer. With his dying words, he viciously told Nick that he had raped Sharon on "margarita night." But Nick was exonerated by the testimony of Tricia and Larry Warton.

Nick, finally out of jail and without the threat of Matt, lavishly romanced Sharon to help her get used to normal life again. Months later Sharon realized she was pregnant. Both knew that if Matt had told the truth, the baby could be his. Nick demanded a paternity test, but Sharon decided the risk before birth was too great, so was willing to trust that it was Nick's and have her baby no matter what. During a fight about this, Nick knocked over a chair, slammed out the door in a huff and drove off, creating a loud bang as his tire exploded against the curb at high speed. Fearful for Nick, Sharon ran for the door, tripped over the chair, and landed on her stomach. Her baby girl was delivered prematurely and later died. A paternity test showed the baby was indeed Nick's, so the couple split up when Sharon was unable to forgive him for more or less killing their unborn child due to his attitude. Matt won - even after death!

So back then it was too dangerous to do a dna test before birth, but she is getting one done with this baby???
