"You want to ride Dinosaur again?" - New 10/21 - The End!

I'm so glad Zach had a good week at school. I think I heard your sigh from here. :goodvibes

OH NO!!! about the wallet. That doesn't sound good.

I love Zach's Tigger though. He did a great job! :thumbsup2

That is a good picture of tigger. Can't wait to read the "last day in the parks" next. popcorn::
I know the last day is a happy but sad day. We are going Oct. 9th.-13th. instead of the 2nd-6th. It is going to be sad leaving on the 13th. to drive 9 hours home. Well, I am happy and blessed that we are able to go.:)

Definitely file that little Animator's Studio factoid away for future use! :thumbsup2 (I will too!)

Ed has taken Tricia there a couple of times while Billy and I attended Playhouse Disney... so Billy's never been in there. Sounds like a great place to go if a meltdown is threatening...

Not too happy to hear about the missing wallet! :worried: I hope it worked out okay!

Kathy

That Tigger is adorable!! Oh my goodness about the wallet, I hope he didn't lose it.

Oh no! I hope you found that wallet! Lost wallets are THE WORST.

Tigger looks good!

Lost wallets are particularly bad when you are supposed to board an airplane the next morning... :rolleyes1

Are you going to write a trip report? October is a great time to go - we were there in 2007 (and back before kids as well).

I would totally make that drive if it were only 9 hours! We have at least 24 hours if we drive from here. :headache:

aack! lost wallet?

Oh nooooooooooo!

Tigger is adorable though, framable!

Ooo that's a good idea - I'll have to get a frame for Tigger before it gets ruined. It's hanging on Zach's wall right now with poster putty.

I really wanted to take Zachary to the animation class – he loves to draw and I thought he would enjoy this. We waited for about 10 minutes for the next class to begin. I just hoped we would get the chance to draw a character he recognized. Luckily it was Tigger! Apparently there is some sort of extension for the table for little kids, but I didn’t realize this so Zach & I ended up drawing together with him on my lap. (While we were in there, Zach said, “I feel calm in here.” I think he liked the cool, dark, quiet room. (Something to remember for next time.) Here’s what we came up with:

Very cute tigger! :tigger: About how long does the animation class take?

I need to remember about the animation class, the boys would love that. Evan especially!

Tigger turned out great!! WAY better than anything I would have been able to do!

Oh man...I knew this lost wallet story was coming. Bring it on! :surfweb:

oohhh...Tigger came out really cute...you should definitely frame him...Zach did a great job...

I did Animator's Studio with Emily-David went off with DH to get autographs but next time I think he'd enjoy it-it is really calming in there...We did Pluto but Zach's Tigger came out much better than my Pluto...

I hope the wallet turns up quickly...:confused3

I want to say about 20 minutes. Sombody correct me if I'm wrong...

I think that is about right....and your Tigger is cuter than mine ;)

and I ditto the hope yo find the lost wallet and like SOON!!!!

I am glad to report up to this point I have only lost my MGM Studios water strap at the parks....(insert knock on wood smiley)

I was really hoping one of my girls would want to take part in the drawing class, since they both love, love, love to draw, but no takers.:confused3 I'll agree with everyone else that the Tigger drawing is super cute! You and Zach should be proud of yourselves.:goodvibes

Are you sure you and Missy weren't on the same vacation, with the missing wallet?

Oh dear! Lost wallet, no good  I hope it isn't a terrible ending??

I did enjoy your story about the animator's club! :thumbsup2

It was a lot of fun & I'll definitely do it again with Zach. I don't think Alex could be quiet long enough. :rolleyes1

Yes - Missy & I actually overlapped by a day - I think there must have been something in the air.

Thanks!! More on the wallet coming up!

Hi Everyone!! Tomorrow is Zach's birthday! :bday: Then mine is on Thursday! :cake::ssst: We've been busy with his birthday party on Sunday with 12 kindergartners! Plus I have another school meeting tomorrow - for Zach. Tonight I baked 30 sugar cookies cut in the shape of frogs. Then I frosted them with green frosting, sprinkled them with green sugar and added M&Ms for eyes!! I hope he enjoys them for his special birthday treat at school tomorrow.
********************************************************************************************************************

Sorry - No pictures - I didn't think to pull out the camera in the chaos...

Zach & I had calmed down with a nice quiet class at the animation studio then we heard Tim say, “Do you have my wallet?”

“What do you mean?”
“Did I give you my wallet?”
“I don’t think so, but let me check the backpack!”
So we jumped out of line, setting Zach into a bit of a panic. We ran over to a park bench and dug through the backpack. I checked my purse. Nothing! No wallet!

We knew he had his wallet when we entered the park because that’s where he kept his KTTW card. Since we were closer, Zach & I returned to TSM to see if any wallets had been found. Nothing, no wallet.

Tim & Alex had also ridden both ToT & RnRC. They went back inside RnRC to ask if anyone found it. They checked the ride and again, nothing, no wallet. He & Alex went over to Guest Relations while Zach & I checked out ToT. Again, nothing, no wallet. At Guest Relations they recommended that Tim return to the park at closing and hang around for a bit because that’s when a lot of items are turned in.

At that point we decided there wasn’t much we could do unless we wanted to leave the park to call banks, etc. but that wasn’t going to fly with the kids. Zach was getting very upset so we were trying to keep it together for his sake. We assured him that everything would be OK. We decided to hit a couple more rides then head out. I took Alex to ToT while Tim took Zach on a ride – I don’t remember what though??

Apparently our mojo for the trip had ended with the lost wallet because using the GAC we made it through the ToT line in short order, but when the pre-show elevator doors opened we found the line backed all the way up to that point. We waited for a bit but the line didn’t move, and more people started trying to get out of the elevators. Maybe a wallet had gotten stuck somewhere in the ride’s mechanical stuff?? :confused3 We decided to leave and try RnRC instead. Unfortunately you can’t get out of ToT without going all the way up to the front of the line and taking the “service elevator”. We pushed our way through everyone, explaining that we were leaving to find the ride had started running again… I explained to Alex that we could go back to the end of the line or we could leave and try RnRC. Fortunately he opted for RnRC.

After making it out of that madhouse, and asking about the wallet again, we headed to RnRC. We had a great ride, but the wallet was still on my mind. After Tim & Zach rode whatever they rode, they returned to Guest Relations and asked about his wallet again. Still nothing, no wallet. We regrouped and grabbed a bus back to CBR.

As soon as we got back, Tim went to Custom House to get a new KTTW card. We had dinner then swam until about 8:00. After putting the kids to bed, Tim fired up his laptop to find phone numbers to cancel credit cards. Luckily he only had one credit card with him. He had removed the others, including his corporate card before the trip. The other card he had with him was his checking debit/mastercard. Luckily the number on my card is different so at least we had one way to pay for things on our travel day.

We also called JetBlue & resort airline check-in to get some advise on that. I don't remember exactly what they told us, but we still weren't sure what was going to happen the next morning.

After making calls to the banks, Tim headed back to DHS to "hang out" at the Lost & Found. :headache:

Up next: Did he find it? (and Departure Day...)

Are you going to write a trip report? October is a great time to go - we were there in 2007 (and back before kids as well).

I would totally make that drive if it were only 9 hours! We have at least 24 hours if we drive from here.

Actually, we are about 9.5 hours away, it's not too bad. We normally drive to Tallahassee the first travel day due to the time we leave our house and we drive straight home without staying overnight the day we leave. I am thinking about writing a trip report, but I first need to learn how to put links to pictures that you have done. We went in 2007 also; ending of September\begining of October. Hope you all found the wallet.

I can just feel the tension in this post. UGH. NOT good! :headache:

Good for you for being able to push through some final fun for the sake of the boys!
