Disney attracts many, many people. Overweight, underweight, and in between. Everyone likes a good vacation.

And I don't get where you would think it's a "haven for overweight people".

I think I have seen more skinny people there than any other.

Because fat people like to have fun and go on vacation with their families too.

Didn't realize I should stay home since I'm overweight....

 Not this again :(
That's a very unfair statement to make. Can't say that I agree with you, because I don't.

I am new to the community boards but it seems like this kind of post should be locked. Ridiculous. :(

I do enjoy a buffet or 2...or 3 but maybe the OP was suggesting DISNEY make changes to their menu's and offer low fat/no crab alternatives.

Didn't we do this like 3 days ago?

You are of course, entitled to your opinion nydizfan, just as everyone else is.

And I will leave it at that

i was really hoping disney would adjust there menus and stop this attack of fat on our bodys and offer good food instead of the junk

NYdizfan, may I suggest you start a thread about the meals available at disney.

We tend to get testy when the subject of fat people come up, especially having already done so recently and it started a fight. I admit to getting a little testy at your opening subject title.
Intentions are very hard to convey sometimes.

Why does this topic come up so much? What I like about Disney is that all people can have a great time regardless of size, health, or anything else. If someone doesn't like looking at heavy people, then don't. Just my 2 cents.

I'm fat but I still manage to eat "good" food while at Disney.

Did you know that you can get a chunk of fresh pineapple at the MK?? Healthy yep, tasty too!

And at MGM studios, I've found at several locations these bowls of fresh fruit and/or vegies. I can sit down to eat or walk along while nibbling the fresh berries I most often purchase.

OH and Animal Kingdom has a lot of healthy foods on their menus as well.......and the little kiosk where you can buy a banana or bowl of berries or chunks of mellon....oh man, I spend a bit of time trying to decide between cantaloupe or strawberries. Decisions decisions.

I believe the parks and restaurants at Disneyworld offer a lot of healthy choices. Thank goodness.

And round and round it goes......

I don't recall noticing what size, age, etc. anyone was when I was last in WDW. I was too busy having fun! I do think it's hard to find healthy choices on SOME of the menus, though. I can't honestly say it has bothered me because I don't worry about that sort of thing when I'm on vacation. I've only casually noticed it. :D

(Edited for a spelling blooper!)

If you want to eat healthy meals there is not a problem. Disney restaurants are very willing to accomodate whether for food allergies or diet restrictions. I'm getting tired of hearing everyone except the person putting the food in their mouth getting blamed. I'm about 10 lbs overweight because I choose to eat junk, not because it exists and I have no choice but to eat it.

What is with all the interest in fat people at Disney lately?

You must not be having a good time if you take note of what kind of people are there.

Since this is already at the top can I just say....

WHAT AND WHY do we allow these boils to fester and grow???

::YAWN::

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!
