I never would have guessed it was the vent over the bed but it totally makes sense as to why it was making Jeremy feel sick. Oy!

I love that AKL has a people corral!

It was only at AKL. The sofa bed at BLT did not have a vent over it. I know to look now.

I thought that was hilarious too! When we first saw it, we got excited thinking that maybe they put the animals in there to care for them or something during the day. But no, it was for us!

I did. Plus, I told them about our bed squeaking all night! I was ready to get to BLT.

Thanks for the tip about the sofa bed. I will be sure to check. Since it will be in Dec it may just be the heat blowing on DS but if I need to move a sofa I will.


You need to get to MK woman!!! So funny that you have not gotten there yet. However with Jeremy being older I get it too.
Hopefully being at BLT and the short walk over helps.

Oh my Gosh I can only imagine. They sure keep you guessing at that age don't they?? I can't wait to find out. I have a few ideas but I can't wait to see if I am on the right track.

Two weeks from today, Jeremy and I will have arrived at the Boardwalk!!!

I can hardly wait!!! It is starting to become very real to me and I am getting soooo excited. I went ahead and ordered our MVMCP tickets for the night we arrive. I have already told Jeremy to not ask about jumping in the pool first thing as we will need a nap to get rested for the party that night. I plan to enjoy every minute of it this time around --even if it rains!

I still haven't decided about the dining plan. Originally, I thought we would do the Quick Service Plan since I only have two table service meals. However, I have a feeling the doctor will adjust my band this Monday so not sure if that would even be beneficial. We will have to wait and see.....

So, with 2 weeks left, I am determined to finish this summer trip. Thanks to those of you who are left reading with me!!! Plus, I am going to do a one week from today starting next Friday!!!

So, onto summer. Moving on to June 30th. We had spent five glorious nights at AKL even though Jeremy hadn't felt his best. I loved everything about the resort. It was magical getting upgraded to Savanna view. The lobby is stunning. Kidani pool was wonderful for Jeremy. Walking around the grounds is breathtaking. I enjoyed the food at the Mara. But, it was time to go home!!! Our DVC home that is...

But first, a few more shots of our fabulous view.

I don't know if I mentioned but the giraffes on both savannas kept staying around the fence where the two meet. The cast member told us they were all related. One was the grandmother, mother, and siblings. It was pretty interesting.

Goodbye Dear Wildebeast! I know we will be back one day to visit again.

And look, our African crane is now sitting on her nest.

We left Kidani around 9:00 that morning I believe. Finally, I get a glimpse of something related to the MK.

I think I was so excited and overwhelmed to be staying at BLT, I never got a picture of the CR or BLT when we drove up. We parked in the main parking lot and went in the CR lobby to check in. If you do a split stay on DVC and have the same ressie number, you can't do online check in. So, I was hoping our experience at the CR would be better than what it was waiting for a room at AKL. I went to check us in and it was a little confusing. All the cast members were busy so I got in this line. I noticed afterwards that someone had come out to direct people and he was directing anyone coming in to the next available cast member. So, I went and asked him if I was in the wrong line. Yes, I was in the line for the concierge desk. Duh, I can read but sure didn't know how to pay attention! So, he got me the next cast member, and score, our room was ready!

We drove over to the BLT parking and got the luggage unloaded and in the room. However, I didn't get any pictures as we had a late breakfast ressie at Chef Mickey's.

I wasn't for sure how I would like have to walk from BLT over to the CR but geez, the view was priceless!

Now, it was Jeremy's request to eat here. I don't think it is as much about the characters as it is about watching the monorail. The child loves the monorail! Heck, he loves the train at MK. He could spend all day on them.

He was in good spirits and did get in the action.

Wow, the tween is actually smiling when Donald hugs him!

After our late breakfast, I proposed that we might walk over to the MK for a little while and come back in the afternoon and swim. However, both of my boys had other plans.

They wanted to ride something, but not an ordinary park ride---the monorail! Go figure. I finally get near the MK and they are going to ride the monorail to the ticket counter, get on the Epcot line and ride it, and then come back. Seriously!!! I needed a break. I had went along with no park plans for 5 days and was about to have a melt down. So, I suggested they enjoy their monorail ride and I would go back to the room and unpack. And that is just what we did!

I did take some pictures of the room before it was a mess. Now, I know BLT and the CR gets mixed reviews about the theming, but I absolutely loved this resort. There was not one complaint I had even with our standard view room.

I got everything unpacked and started getting ready to hit the pool. The boys ride took about an hour. I guess they were a big hit with some older lady on the monorail. She thought they were just too cute riding the monorail. Oh my....

Jeremy loved the slide here! Actually, I did too! It was lots of fun.

Jeremy really got into the poolside activities at BLT.

I was thinking monorail but I wasn't sure. There is nothing better that staying on the monorail resorts and riding the monorail, especially at the Contemporary. The only one you don't have to stand outside for.


I glad Jeremy still gets a smile with some characters.

I sure hope there is no brown flag at the pool. Maybe just thunder and lightning since it look so cloudy?

Woo hoo to 2 more weeks! You must be so excited.

I bet it was hard to leave that savannah view! You had some great animal encounters. Imagine a bird laying eggs right outside your window.

So glad you finally made it to BLT. I see they changed the location of the sink in the studios. How did you like the studio? Did you feel like it was too cramped?

Imagine - picking a monorail ride over going to MK. No wonder you went back to the room to unpack.

I would have gone to MK without them while they rode and took some nice pics and got a Dole Whip!!!!

I love the theming of the CR, In fact when we stayed there they gave out a smaller version of the Yellow Mickey head picture above the bed and I have it framed on my wall

I hit single digits today!!!! Jeremy and I are 9 days aways (my ticker is off 1 day so don't pay attention to it!) from Disney fun. It is really starting to sink in and I am getting soooo excited!!!!

I am going to call tomorrow and add the quick service dining plan--not so much for me but I think it will calm Tom down. He is worrying himself to death about us going without him and whether or not we will be okay. I told him the other night I had decided to not do a dining plan and he freaked out. He started the what if game....what if my wallet gets stolen---how would we eat, blah, blah, blah. So to shut him up, I am adding it. I think he just wants me to use the snack credits to bring him some goodies home!

I will do online check in tomorrow. I need to go back and revamp my schedule and then on Friday, look for one week from today to begin!!!!

Let's keep plugging along on summer!

After an afternoon of the boys "riding" the monorail and some family fun at the pool, we got showered and finally headed to my favorite place...........

I had finally made it!!!

And in pure Jeremy fashion, his first ride would be the train! Honestly, it is a family favorite to do this first. We have since his first trip and it still gives me goosebumps watching him enjoy it so much.

We rode the entire loop around, got off, and walked up main street.

We headed to Fantasyland. There was no wait for the carousel so Jeremy and I hopped on.

I think all we rode that night was It's a Small World and Pooh, plus we watched Mickey's Philharmagic. Our real reason for going was to see the Main Street Electrical Parade. We walked back toward the hub to see if there were any spots left.

This is the last picture I took this evening. We found a spot to watch the parade in Frontier and this time, I decided I wanted to enjoy it without trying to get that perfect picture. I adore this parade. I love the music and everything about it. It is so much fun to me.

No brown flag!!! I will try to get that post tomorrow. I am sure as a lifeguard you have seen this plenty of times before......

I like that Jeremy still has the love of Disney and characters still excite him at times. I was worried that at the beginning of the trip, his tweeness would ruin it but there were some good moments. I think he will have a greater love for characters this trip in 9 days! He adores Disney like me and seems so much more excited. I often think he gets embarrassed acting young with his dad around. Go figure!

Thanks, he was very proud of his pumpkin. I loved the studio at BLT and the layout. I liked where the kitchenette was off to itself. I never stayed the old way but there is a sink in the bathroom which was probably my only downside to the room. I like it away from the shower so I can get makeup/hair done while the boys are getting their showers in the morning. However, there was an area in the kitchenette that worked great for that.

I should have done that! Later on in the trip Jeremy and I venture out by ourselves. I think it was just what I needed to boost my confidence to do our trip coming up next week!

Yes, I am a BLT lover. I was afraid that after AKL it would be a disappointed but was definitely not. I need to get over to the BC. We have never stayed there.

I was able to convince a 16 year old to " go with it" and have fun and he surprised me at 1900 PF so it can happen.
