You People Are Nuts!!...

LOL, I remember the moment that I realized that I had joined the Land of the Disney Nuts. My husband was the original family Disney nut. He pulled me in after our trip last summer. We are going back this summer and I actually got depressed that I had the whole trip planned and there was nothing left to do until we go in AUGUST. So what does a Disney nut do? I convinced my parents and my sister's family (separate trips) to go to Disney too. This will be their first trip. My joy returned when I got to help plan their trips too. Disney is a yearly trip for us. Why plan another vacation when we love this one soooo much?!

but can I post anyway?

I learned alot just reading this thread. I admit to not knowing everything and realize how much I don't know.

We are definately Nuts as we were literally just driving out of the parking lot on our way home planning the next WDW vacation. It was the only way to make it home. My co-workers think we're crazy. DH hates crowds and isn't a real people person but at WDW he becomes a totally different person. He LOVES it there.
Where do I get tan "white out" for my WL mug? LOL Just Kidding!!!!

One other question.... tell me more about the binders. To that I am clueless.

Will be going down the path in 07 at MNSSHP.

Bodyglide is a deodorant type rollon that puts a layer on you that lets everything glide.

It prevents blisters if you put it on your feet .But DD puts it on arms and legs to prevent chafing as it stops the rubbing from her boardshorts and tops.

You can get it at most high-end running shops and outdoor stores like REI and some Dicks .

Sounds good! Thanks! I hate, uh, "chafing"

just borrow one from one of the CM's? I noticed quite a few of the character chaperones/handlers had them. Varying colors too. If you happen to need a blue one Fairy God Mother carries one at CRT. SHHHHHHH ;)

I thought that my DH and I could hang with the big guys. DH brings his laptop with everything on it instead of a three ring binder. I knew about the paint brushes to get extra fast passes, however, I am clueless about the secret paths from SM and MTTF. Somebody let me in on the secret paths so I can still delude myself into thinking that I can hang with the big guys.

Paint brush...fast pass....do tell, I apparently missed this one!

Nevermind, must be a blonde mouse here!!! TOTALLY missed the answer on oh say 5 or so posts...lol!

and proud of it. I have been to Disney many many times, but only discovered these boards before our May 2004 trip.

For 15 years I longed to stay in a Disney Resort, but figured I would only be disappointed if I asked the cost, because I knew I couldn't afford it. I wish I had know about the boards. I found out that I could have been staying disney for years (instead of the travelodge).

Any way I have learned many, many things, not the least of which is, I am not the only disney freak in the world. I thought for a time I had a new clinical form of OCD.

Have fun on the boards. I do.

But did you know you can win a free game of mini golf by answering the trivia question correctly after your game? I was the first person of the day to get it after our game so I'll be enjoying my free game in September. :)

I've got you beat. We haven't gone yet and I'm thinking of upgrading my tickets to an AP and going back in December instead of buying Christmas presents. :rotfl:

Quite a few have posted that they go to Disney & return with a special souvenier;) .

1st I've heard of the paintbrushes, will give me something to do on the island.

As for the binder idea @ home use a "master" binder, and 3-ring notebook for each upcoming trip. Have quit taking Passporter, too big to drag around. I really like using the similar mini Prep Pads on the Aronda parks site.

Crocs - these are shoes. Made of funky rubber and many DISer's swear by them. Go to www.crocs.com

My husband and I refer to mine as my ugly shoes. I have 3 pair. Pearl and Navy in the Aspen design. And Purple in the Beach design.

After reading all about Crocs here on the dis, we had great fun "Croc spotting"...Sometimes whole families are outfitted with the Croc's. We like to see who wears what colors.

Ah, but that's the truly deep, dark secret - the suites are great for some families, but others still get more out of two connecting singles. With connecting singles, you give up the kitchenette, but you gain a second bathroom.

What family with teenagers wouldn't rather have a second bathroom instead of the kitchenette?

I thought the info I've read is the new family suites do indeed have two bathrooms along with the kitchenette and seperate bedroom. Just when I thought I had it figured out :confused3

After never hearing of them before this thread and before Easter Break, when I came back, 3 of my 13 students came in Tuesday with them on! HA! One boy and 2 girls!

My sentiments exactly!! I knew there were MAYBE a few others as obsessed with the "world" as me...but never quite in the numbers and to the extremes that I found on this board. I just discovered these boards last July...HELLO! I've been at least twenty times but I can tell you I was quite the disneydummy compared to now (after over 9 months at DIS University!!) :smooth:
