We are planning to visit WDW the week after Thanksgiving in 2006. Our original intent was to spend 7 nights at WDW (we've been to the World 5 times, but always in the summer). We (family of 5) are now flirting a bit with cutting the visit to 4 days and adding a 3-night cruise.

Seems awfully expensive, but truly unique. What would you do: 7 days at the World or the 4-3 combo?

We would book separately because of hotel rates I can get on my own.
Any opinions?

Thanks!

Four days at the World and three days on a cruise sounds a bit rushed to me. And seeing as how you have gone in the summer on all your previous trips, I would take this vacation to spread things out, relax, and truly enjoy WDW for 7 days. Take a day or two to enjoy Disney activities outside the parks, or just to relax and refuel. You will notice a world of difference touring in December rather than over the summer.

I'd vote for the cruise. They are soooo relaxing after several days at the parks. And you're right, a DCL is cruise is so magical.

I have done the Land/Sea cruise 4 times (4 day land / 3 day Sea x3, and 3 day land / 4 day sea x1) and would definately reccomend it. At that time of year (Late Nov. / Early Dec.) the parks are not at all crowded. If you are an "experienced" WDW'er then you can hit all of your favorite attractions in the 4 days, and then enjoy the new experience of the cruise for the other 3 days. I definately think it is worth the $$$. If the 4 days at the parks are not enough, you can always tack on a few more...for more $$$, of course. pirate:
