When you know who Lawrence Welk is ..this phone keeps changing his name to Well. His show was opposite of Wonderful World 🌎 of Disney in the 60s .. when Grandma came to visit we had to play with our toys.. Grandma would be 140 years old..and PBS is targeting an audience....WHO?????

I have warm memories of watching Lawrence Welk with my Grandma.

When my stepdad had advanced Alzheimer’s, before he went to a nursing home, Lawrence Welk was one show that would keep him calm. He couldn’t follow along with the show, but the music and entire tone of the show was good for him. Therefore the show played continuously for him every day.

That is good news. I am always wondering what my background tone will be in the same situation

I love Gene Wilder singing in Wonka and didn't realize how much until this Christmas when the Target commercial came on... the tone of Wonka made my body respond and leap

but you still got a little Disney influence during the Lawrence Welk show b/c every week for 21 years the show featured the dancer Bobby Burgess who from 1951-1959 was one of the original Mouseketeers:earsboy:
