I just got paid my bonus and I immediately divided it by the cost of a Disney cruise to see how many I could take.

Sick sick I tell you...

and the problem is.....?

I see nothing wrong with this ... what am I missing

LOL
No, what is sick is to budget years ahead- even looking at bonuses and vacation pay- to figure out how many cruises you could take. That would be sick..... or would it? LOL

I was so glad to see this thread; It feels good to know that I am not alone in such obsessive compulsive behavior...:earsboy:

No, you are not alone -

What about the fact that I knew exactly what I was going to order before my 5/2003 cruise having reviewed all of the menus on Tony and Barb's site.

Or the fact that each night I go to bed dreaming of my nieces face when she sees the port for the cruise I am taking her (and her brothers and sister) on in January 2005 (375 days away).

Yes I am sick - but I take solace in the fact that there are far worse addictions out there.

ANd take solace in the fact that you are not the only one afflicted with the addiction ... and most of us are right here ....:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Obsessed is having your cruise dates planned up to two years in advance! My 2004 cruises have been booked for a year now, and I've already plotted out 2005...now I just need to get them booked and hope that some even more obsessed person hasn't gotten to the secret porthole rooms already.

i'm out there too. everyday i plan and replan our trip. i love going on my daily walk thinking of all the things were going to be doing each day. my kids love doing disney big time but when i say "lets talk about the trip" they run and hide. its a great pasttime. it gets me through the dreay winter months thinking about castaway cay and lounging around on deck 10 sipping my bahama mama. ahhhh, is it time to go yet:bounce: :hyper:

Barb, would have to add to your definition of obsessed --

Obsessed is having booked onboard for a cruise in December 2005 for which a date, destination and length of stay has not yet been released -- but what the h__l, we'll have a good time anyway!

And there was not one, but SIX families that did this!!

We have already started a "Drink of the Day" list, linked our dinner ressies, and I have got my box of stuff started in my office at home!!

My husband came home tonight to ask me if he should go to Minnesota this Friday to give some talks for a pharmaceutical company, something which he does fairly often, but not in Minnesota - my reply? YES, YES, YES. And what am I thinking as I am saying this? I can pay for 1/2 of a cruise for our family with that money!! YES, YES, YES - just be sure to take a warm coat, honey!!

you people are sick, sick sick.....GOD I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!

(payed off cruise 14 months in advance!!!)

(downloaded menu's from WDW and Wonder)

(printed out excursions lists.....)

ect...ect...:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Obsession? Yes. Sick? NO!!!

Another way to tell that one is obsessed.

When one (such as I) hit up the clearance sales at the stores (I love the after-Easter sales) to buy DD's dresses for the cruise; not only for this year, but next year too!

i.e...'oh darn, they don't have this dress in a 10, I'll buy her the 12 and she can wear it on next year's cruise.'

Last my husband asked me 'you PROMISE if you buy that (cocktail) dress that you'll wear it again next year?' Sure, honey, I'll wear it again' LOL!!!! (I'll wear it again, but not two years in a row! Buying the cruise wardrobe is half the fun! I'll alternate years!)

you people are obsessed, obsessed, obsessed...GOD I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Yes - I am not alone!

inkkognito - You are my inspiration.

tigger53 - I totally understand. No one wants to talk to me about my cruise because its all I want to talk about.

Add me to the list

After

-- a 4-night cruise on the Wonder Jan 18th, 2004 and 9-nights at WDW

-- 8-nights at WDW August 20, 2004

-- 7-night cruise January 15, 2005

-- 10-nights in Scotland August 18, 2005

-- EPCOT Flower Festival Spring 2006

-- and possible Disneyland for Halloween or Thanksgiving 2006

We're planning a big whole family type vacation, hopefully a 7-night cruise for January/February 2007

Is it bad when you print out calendars 3 years ahead of time to see how many paychecks you have available for vacation and when you'll have enough saved for your next vacation??

Obsessed is booking a cruise while onbaord, then starting a Cruise Meet thread before even disembarking :)
