Potential first time cruiser 🛳

Unfortunately there are only 2 cruises during that time; leaving from opposite coasts. We'll certainly try again if we can't go this September.
Are you looking for a specific length? Even only the Dish Wish will have a minimum two embarkations in a 10 day period. But maybe you're only looking for a 7 nighter?

The Wonder and Magic are doing 7 nights in Alaska. The Magic ends Alaska season mid September and Wonder goes through September. These are the OG Disney ships so they are smaller.

Treasure is doing 7 nights Eastern/Western Caribbean. The Dream is over in Europe.

These have been onsale for since last year- so trying to get a suite as you found is very difficult. You don’t really spend of a lot of time in your cabin on a cruise. Would a large Family oceanview verandah work for you?

You could also try a back to back- 3 night Wish with a 4 night Wish. I know Fantasy is doing 5 nights, don’t know what the Destiny is doing in Ft Lauderdale.

Thank you so much for all your quick replies ❤️
I spoke to Disney earlier and they're currently holding my reservation for 24 hours. One thing I didn't understand was the Travel Protection Plan. Is that trip insurance? I booked 90% of our travel and honestly never bought insurance. I'm not worried about flight delays or lost luggage. We have very good health insurance, so I hope they will cover any misfortune.
I'm not sure what the Travel Protection Plan is for, but it sounds like I have to buy it at the time of the deposit (which will happen sometimes today or tomorrow).

Thanks.
You don't have to add the travel insurance until you make final payment. I would not buy it now. I also would look at buying it outside of Disney. Do you belong to Costco? If so I would book through them for the Costco gift card.

Are you limiting yourself to Disney? If not I would suggest doing lots of research on all ships and lines. There are a lot of options.

Yes, I am looking at the 7-night Alaska cruise. We may end up getting two connecting veranda rooms if the suites are not available. It's actually more economical to get the 1BR since the cost is only a little more than two veranda, but the perks are so much more.
