You just finished a huge meal of fried foods and you just don't feel full unless you top it off with an Hot Fudge Sundae
Your cat has moved to the crawl space next to the boiler and that sounds good to you.
The brand new 2006 Jeep Liberty your purchased yesterday has trouble starting
You drive for an hour with the heat on full blast and the back windows on the inside of your car are still iced over
You wake up at 3:00 am with an irresistible impulse to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
You'd rather go without a shower than get wet for fear of turning into a popsicle
After your commute you contemplate spending the night in your car because the alternative is walking the 5 feet to your front door . . . brrrrrr
Your curtains are stuck to the frost on the inside of your bedroom windows.
It's -25 here, is it cold where you are?:cold: :cold:

I hate to say this but I am jealous. It has been in the 40-60 range here all winter and I want my winter back.

I have been as cold as you are now and it is...challenging, to say the least.

LOL.....I wouldn't know anything about that kind of cold!!

Luckily our winter has been really mild and I'm loving it. -25!:scared1: I can't even take +25 without seriously thinking about staying buried under about 10 blankets.

I'm actually really jealous. It's only winter on the calendar here. This is NH. Normally we have snow and it's cold. Heck, this week 3 years ago we had -30windchills. Today it was in the 40's with rain, and that's the coldest day we've seen in almost a week. Saturday it was close to 70. Yup, 70

Yep, you know it's not cold when...
Short sleeves & shorts this past Sunday!

monarchsfan16, we live up in the hills & can't keep snow on the ground! Our driveways & fields are muddy, like mud season!

I'm sorta glad now we didn't book WDW for this month! I always feel so much more pleased, like we're really getting our money's worth, when we skip out on a snowstorm or 2!:rotfl:

Oh i don't know about that. Bad planning maybe. lol

That is too cold for me! It's going to be in the 30's here today.... but it's been in the 40's and was 58 over the weekend!

36°F (2°C) here going to 50°F (10°C). Starting to cool off and be seasonable.

Jim

OK we just got up and it's now -29. Why don't you people wanting winter trade us, we'll give you the -29, bringing us up to a balmy 0 (that's barbeque weather) and bringing you down to a cool 20 to 30 depending on where you are. If you agree, I'll pop off a memo to the Heat Meiser and the Cold Meiser and see what I can do.:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

-29?!?!?!?! Is that Fahrenheit??? That's awful. How do you function? Is that normal for Alaska?

Sending you some heat.

It was 32 this morning. It reached 70 last week and I miss that. :( I hope this doesn't mean we're actually going to have a typical New England winter after all. :(

A few days ago, I washed the linens from my bed and my daughter's bed. Right after I took them out of the dryer, I piled them all up on my bed and buried myself in them. It was sooooo warm. :rotfl:

(((waving)))) former Alaskan here!

Where are you? I am guessing the Anchorage area? I hated it up there :D I however do love Fairbanks and the surrounding towns, cold temps and all!! No humidity!!!

Juneau and Petersburg stunk being on the water, Skagway gets those nasty north winds :D

It's cold here when I have to wear long pants, which is the case today with temps in the 50s.

I'm in Wasilla we're about an hour away from Anchorage and we run about 5 to 10 degrees cooler. It's -25 right now but we're expecting a warm front tomorrow and are hoping it will get up to 5.

I really hope it gets warm soon I just have no motivation to do anything when it's this cold. I spoke to a nutritionist I work with today and she said that our metabolisms increase 7% in extreme weather conditions like this. It's not really normal for this part of Alaska it is further north.

hey, it doesn't need to be cold to do that!! I do that any ol' day! :rotfl:

BTW...it was in the 70's here in Southern California today! Wouldn't know a thing about being cold, although I think I am going to turn into a popsicle at 50 degrees!

I know Wasilla well :) My aunt lives up there, off of Knik road (I think thats the spelling). I did not realize Wasilla gets colder then Anchorage.

My dad was in road construction and I know 75% of Alaska pretty well ::goodvibes I have driven the Alaska highway no less then 25 times. I love going from Skagway to Fairbanks, over to Anchorage, back to Delta Junction and down to Skagway. I love that drive!
