OK, so, this may seem like a no-brainer to some, but our September trip convinced me to add three days to our anniversary trip in Jan/Feb.
I wanted to wait and see if a week felt like enough time in WDW. It actually did, but I noticed that it took me almost 2 days to really get into the rhythm of being on vacation this time, so I'm thinking it couldn't hurt to pad the anniversary trip.
Maybe this happens to everyone, but I spent those first two days go-go-going as if I were still at home trying to meet work deadlines and muscle my way through rush hour.

It made me snappish and cranky when I should have been mellow and happy. Yuck! I think I did this on our wedding trip too but didn't realize it because I thought I was grumpy from running around doing wedding errands during the first few days....
So now, in addition to a week at Beach Club Villas, we put
three extra days at Wilderness Lodge on the front of our trip, making it Jan. 28-Feb. 7.
At first I was cracked on adding the days at BoardWalk Inn, (cuz I loooove the public spaces and think the rooms look cute) but our DVC contact couldn't get us a ressie there and the prices for a cash ressie are still a little steep. Plus, I think it might be more interesting to spend time at one MK-area resort and one Epcot-area resort instead of all Epcot-area resorts. We were offered a fairly good
AAA rate at WL when I called to check (and are hoping for an AP rate to appear later this month), so....
DH really likes the idea of Wilderness Lodge, too. I'm not crazy about the room decor, but I love the lobby and the waterfall/pool/lake view.

Plus, we have some fond memories of taking our engagement photos there....

Knowing where we're staying meant I could fix up the dining ressies I made in haste the minute our booking window opened last month. More on those later....
