I'm friends with another DISer who's there right now. Says the weather is not too bad and it's not crowded AT ALL! She spent the day at AK; the longest wait for anything was 10 minutes.

OK I got a LOT done last night, as well I should have, because we are leaving TOMORROW!!


I put all the customized pages from my PassPorter Sidekick into my PassPorter binder and put flags on each section for easy reference. Also, after reading about Jenn wrangling tips before she left last weekend, I realized I’d probably better do the same. So I doled out tip money by day and put it in the PassPockets (shhh... don’t tell any muggers!)

And I printed out my Tour Guide Mike Least Crowded Parks info and stuck it in the binder too! It is very fat now.

Then I dumped out the contents of the cupboard where I stick things for the trip during the rest of the year so I don’t lose them.

And then I packed up all the toiletries and non-clothes-related things we’re hauling with us. I used to live entirely out of one carryon (before the TSA's liquid ban), but we really traveled in style for the honeymoon – there was one whole suitcase I called “the drugstore” cuz it had a household’s worth of luxuries like liquid hand soap, band-aids, Kleenex, etc. So now I must travel in the style to which I have become accustomed while cramming it all in one $#^%&@! $15 checked bag.

Well, last night I got to thinking about Rottiemom’s Quest for the Perfect WDW Mascara and thought, “Geez, if she can carry around an entire vacation’s worth of stuff on the back of a motorcycle and still bring mascara, I should probably make some sort of effort to wear makeup on my trip!” So I packed that up....

Here’s how much makeup Rottiemom brings on vacation with her...

Tonight we pack clothes (and plenty of ’em – it’s STICKY in Florida in September!) and, uh, other important stuff that I don’t know what it is right now....

OK, remember when I said I was a little worried that my new favorite travel website, Tripit.com, would eventually replace my PassPorter? (Well, maybe I didn't say it, but it was there lurking in the very deepest recesses of my mind )

I think I found a good combo! As I discovered on our San Diego trip, TripIt is only as strong as your cell signal, and if you don't have one, you can't get to any of your most important info.

So today I printed out the detailed version of my entire Tripit Itinerary, cut out the maps and taped them to the appropriate pages, and punched holes in the bottom so it would fit in my PassPorter!

Hooray! Now I have an electronic "trip bible" and a hard copy.

I just tried to weigh my suitcase on my digital scale & it wouldn't work, it worked yesterday(39.5 lbs) but I have added a few things and I wanted to take some good stuff back with me. Oh well, DS doesn't need many clothes I can leave some there although he may object.

For starters, I'm not getting as much content written as I'd hoped. The iPhone is kinda hard to type on.... So apologies for not responding individually. Also, the battery will not withstand an entire day of updating. And neither will my marriage! I think DH wants more human interaction and less "talk to the iPhone" ....

So there may not be as many updates, but I'll try to make them good!
