You Just Got Married at WDW - What're You Gonna Do Next? LIVE Blog from WDW (p.24)!

I saw the new name for DDE - what on earth, had all the Imagineers taken the day off :confused3

Totally... that thread I linked to has some pretty hilarious alternatives... and interpretations of the name.

so..guess what? we get to finally meet each other in exactly one week!! one week Carrie!! I'm soooo stoked!!

Hooray! Drive safely!

hey...loved your wedding and disneymoon reports...cant wait for this one. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I will try to make it good, although I'm sorry to say that we can't afford another wedding! :rotfl:

Touring Plans! We got ya touring plans here! ... And man, are we gonna be busy...

Saturday:
Arrive in the early evening, grab the car and check into Pop.

Hit Raglan Road for dinner and meet up with Jenn for GHIRARDELLI SUNDAES! :cloud9:

Sunday:
Epcot maybe? Or maybe run into DHS for Midway Mania, TOT and RnR, then head to Epcot?

Dinner's at Coral Reef, follwed by an IllumiNations Cruise! :hyper: Oh, and we're gonna try the frozen 6-inch celebration cake, then share the leftovers with our shipmates.

Monday:
Oh wait - maybe THIS is the day we run into DHS and then do Epcot... Yeah, that sounds better.

We have an ungodly early dinner at Le Cellier (4:10pm) and then maybe we'll hit DD for our first and last visit to the Adventurer's Club together... :sad1:

Tuesday:
Magic Kingdom! Lunch at Columbia Harbor House, dinner at Tony's and peeking at MNSSHP as they hustle us out after dinner. Maybe we'll slink over to the Polynesian and watch the special fireworks at 9:30pm. Oh, and we're gonna try the Infamous Sara Lee 6-inch cake...

Wednesday:
Taking some pix with our wedding photographers! Except for a visit from my makeup artist at 6:30AM and dinner, the whole day is unplanned.

Dinner is Whispering Canyon. And maybe we'll be done in time to go back into MK to see Wishes from Main Street or the hub - we saw it three times on our honeymoon and never once from right in front of the castle! Once we were in the castle, once we were at CA Grill, and once we were in our room at Beach Club Villas!

Thursday:
Animal Kingdom - I scheduled a full day here, and we have dinner at Boma, but this will be the test of whether we can really find enough to do here for a whole day. I guess we could take a break at AKL in the middle of the day if we needed to.

There's also supposedly a preview of the Food and Wine festival today, but I'm not sure if it's feasible to go there and then back to AKL for our dinner at Boma, and I'm positive we won't be hungry *after* dinner for Food & Wine snacks...

Friday:
This day is jammy packed. We're going to Epcot for rope drop and then hit as many of the food booths as we can when World Showcase opens, using our stored up snack credits. At 5:15 we want to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Eat to the Beat concert, and then at 7:40 we have a ressie at Ohana... man, I'm getting a tummyache just reading that...

And, again, we'll try to catch the MNSSHP fireworks on the beach at the Poly, and at some point we'll have checked out of Pop and into the Poly.

Saturday:
One goal: Ride Haunted Mansion in the morning at MK, then ride it in the evening at Disneyland.

We'll either sleep in and get breakfast at Kona or (since it's prolly booked with free diners) go to the MK for our early ride. Leave WDW late afternon to catch our flight to LA.

Once we touch down at 9pm, it's a race to get to Disneyland before it closes at midnight. We have to pick up our bag, get our private car service, make the 60-minute commute, dump our bags with bell services at the Disneyland Hotel, and grab the monorail (if it's still running) from Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland, dash across the hub to New Orleans Square and ride Haunted Mansion Holiday!!! (Gee, does it count that we're not riding the same version of Haunted Mansion on each coast...?)

Sunday
It's not over yet! Check this out - our wedding photographers just happened to plan a trip to Disneyland for the day before we return to LA, so we're going to take MORE pix with them, this time in California! Which means I gotta get up at 5am for makeup again (because I'm that vain....:cutie: ). But then we get to play in the parks til about 4pm, when the private car comes back to take us home....

.... And it's STILL not over. Once we get home, we're going to drop our bags and (spoiler mode ahead cuz this is a surprise for DH) go downtown to the Staples Center to see Walking With Dinosaurs from the SEVENTH row!!! See, we went to see it in Anaheim last month, and we were in the nosebleed section and could hardly see anything. So when I found out they added an extra show to the last day in Los Angeles, and realized we'd be back in town then, I secretly hopped online the moment tickets went on sale so I could get really good seats this time! (and at not much more than we paid for the bad seats at the $&^#@ Honda Center). So this is a big surprise for DH, because dinosaurs are his third favorite thing on earth, after puppets and (I hope) me! :cutie:

Whew! :faint: Did you get all that?

Carrie, you are a true warrior! That is one fierce touring plan. You sound like me pre child, everything is going to be awesome!

Aaaaand you've succesfully managed to work out a plan where there's not a snowball's chance of us bumping into each other :rotfl: . And I am green over you're getting to catch BBVD. We're leaving a mere 4 days before they play. If I had only known!

I hope that you have a blast.

The Roots came to the room to take a few shots of Mona getting ready. I told them they were celebrities and that I'd read so much about them on the Dis. She said "We love Carrie!" They said that they were going to meet up with you twice this month.

After seeing all of Carrie's wedding pictures I kind of want to get married just so I can have a photo session with the Roots

Oh no, really? Well we're flexible on the park time - it's just the darn ADRs that are set in stone. I checked out your tentative touring plan... looks like Monday is being planned by your son, so maybe he'll pick the park we pick! :cutie:

Mona's pictures are going to be amazing - I can't wait to see them. I saw her wedding video preview and she looked so pretty. Say... I bet you're in that video - are you in the video?

After seeing all of Carrie's wedding pictures I kind of want to get married just so I can have a photo session with the Roots

:rotfl2: No, no, no... all you have to do is get engaged. Then you can take engagement photos with the Roots. And no one has to know the guy in the pictures is really your mom's dentist's best friend's dog's psychotherapist....:lmao:

Now that I have an iPhone, I thought it would be fun to update my trip report in real time from Walt Disney World.

However, through some stunning oversight on Apple's part, iPhones don't have cut-and-paste capability :headache: so I can't put links to the pictures I take in this trip report.

SO I've set up a blog that I can post pix to in real time while at Disney World - hooray!

If you're interested in where we are or what we saw or what we're having for lunch each day, just check out

http://lurkyloodoeswdw.blogspot.com/

I'll also put the link in the first post of this pre-trip report, since I won't be able to paste it in every time I update....

Maybe by our February trip they'll have cut-and-paste for the iPhone...

Hooray! One reader!

Perhaps I can get some good shots for you of What Not to Wear at Disney! :rotfl:

I just entered into Tripit the delivery confirmation info for the CostCo waters I had sent to Pop Century! Now it's in there with the maps from the airport, Pop ressie info, Raglan Road info, etc.

Let Bell Services just try to tell me they don't have my cheap waters! :rotfl2:

Ooh - I LOVE live updates from WDW! I'll be watching too!

(my, aren't you "technically-savvy"? I'm lucky if I can take a picture w/my phone and forward it on to someone else!:lmao: )

One more! Me too, me too!! :dance3:

Hooray! More readers!

We'll find out just how tech-savvy I am once I actually attempt to post from the road. I love my iPhone, but you still have to do a bit of jury-rigging to get things to work like they do on a full-sized computer.....

Fun, I just added your blog to my subscriptions!

Have you tried twitter? You could install Twinkle or Twitteriffic on your phone and easily post updates with photos! You could even add them in to Twisney! (This is one of the most nonsensical paragraphs ever written)

I wanted to post a lot of updates on Twisney, but my sister got mad at me whenever I would pull out my iPhone. I think she must have been jealous. I did use it to check out my touring plan itineraries. I saved the images and synched them with my iphone. It was fun to be able to whip it out and see where we should go next. I have a screen shot in this post from my trip update.

There's also a new MK iphone app. It's only 99 cents, but I'm not sure how useful it would be if you're familiar with the park.

WOW Sounds great!! Good luck with both HM in 1 day!! can't wait for the live updates!

Dear Everybody,

Holy crap, we leave in TWO DAYS!!!!

Love, Lurkyloo

Ooh - thanks for the tips! I'll check them out...

Oooh, how can I immediately text you on your iPhone... I want to be the one to officially welcome you to Canada! ;)

:rotfl2: I love it! Unfortunately, AT&T wants an ungodly 20 cents US ($20,000 CAD) per text message, so I try to avoid them....

WOW Sounds great!! Good luck with both HM in 1 day!! !

Thanks! We're gonna need it..... I'm pretty sure DH doesn't think it's gonna happen, but I prefer to Believe in the Magic of Dreams! (tm) :wizard:

I'm friends with another DISer who's there right now. Says the weather is not too bad and it's not crowded AT ALL! She spent the day at AK; the longest wait for anything was 10 minutes.

Here's some :pixiedust: wishing the same for you guys!

Hey, the exchange rate is much better than that these days! :rotfl:

Okay, but promise me you'll think of me for a couple of seconds when entering Canada!! :flower3:
