You HAVE to try this!! EBAY your way to DISNEY Part 2!!!!

That is what I thought about the Contact Info. I have a buyer who is telling me that they send payment. However, I never gave them my mailing address, I don't have it listed in my auctions, and since I never got notification that they pulled my contact info, they couldn't have gotten that way.

Only 8 more days until I can file for my fees.

Do you mean that you don't use any other wrapping for clothing, just a ziplock or plastic bag? It has never torn? Thanks!

Naturally the zip loc bag or walmart bag then goes inside a sturdy envelope (bubble mailer or tyvek priority envelope). I haven't had anyone complain about this way of packing.

Heck, a lot of the time, mine only shows my PO and their address, so you are lucky that they are even scanning your's on the way.I had one last week, that went to Phoenix, AZ, then to Syracuse, NY, down to NJ, and then out to it's home in CA. I think it got put on the wrong truck. My UPS stuff coming to me have lately been doing some visiting first too. It was right here in Lathem, then went to Rochester, then came to me : (

When I first started using DC I thought it was just a fluke - like ending up on the wrong truck or someone not being able to read (LOL) but when I was getting that message consistently - as well as the one that has my packages going out to the Bell, CA facility before coming back to the southeast - I made a point of questioning several different people at the PO and they all had the same answer - that's the route that packages travel from my PO..

Gee - could it have anything to do with it being a "government" office? LOL

Hey - your counter says you're going to WDW in 5 hours! What are you doing online talking about ebay??
:sunny:

Have a great time if you're still going...

If I need to insure a package that I am mailing Priority Mail, can I print out a label online and pay for shipping then add insurance once at the post office. The item is only a dress that I sold for $8.50, would it be unethical to self-insure this item? I don't know if the 8.50 is really worth going to the post office and filling out the forms.

That must be HI time...I have 7 hours before my plane leaves LOL!

I'm all packed and ready to roll. I'll have my laptop with me, so I can still browse...and make you all wish you were with me (and so I can answer questions on the stuff I have up!).

Hey, I do believe I offered to bring you along!

We're back at POR..I'm not going to watch the people dancing on the floor, in the hopes the tag fairy will remove that dumb tag of mine LOL.

your post office doesn't have an automated system to fill out the forms? I've seen this mentioned before and wondered about it. I just give my package to the clerk, he puts a form in the machine and it comes out completely filled out with the address and amount and then he stamps the package "insured" and gives me my copy. We're just a small town office, so I just assumed if WE do it that way, it must be like that everywhere, lol.

you sure can! i recommend people do this all the time so you can get the free delivery confirmation... all they do is add the postage label to your package. so if you insured something up to $50, they would put a postage label for $1.30 on it.

good luck!

Do you all use the calculated shipping option? I had been using fixed shipping and have found I've gotten burned too many times. I'm now using calculated shipping, and I'm hoping that works out better. I've been selling some china and they can get pretty heavy. And there can be a huge difference in price between sending to someone in the same zone and sending across the country (as I've learned the hard way). I think I have to spend more time reading the ebay discussion boards. When they first went up several years ago I didn't think they were too helpful but now I've found lots of good information there.

I always use calculated shipping for heavy items although I am still pretty new. I found out the hard way how much a zip code can change shipping and never want to happen again. I use flat rate shipping for items that fit into the flat rate envelopes.

I have a NPB'er (who I should have known from the start would be a problem but that is another story), say that they have filed a claim with eBay Fraud after they sent payment to the wrong place (wrong state and person in fact). What will eBay fraud do? Will they contact me regarding this? I have filed the NPB'er report but can't file for my fees until Wendesday. I don't want this brainless buyer mess up my eBay account, I already see a neg coming my way, even though I have done nothing but be helpfull to them. I even tracked down who they sent the payment to (if in fact they sent payment at all).

So what is eBay's procedure when a buyer files a fraud claim?

TIA

What would you do?

I have it stated in at least 2 different places, that I require that all winning bidders contact me within 3 days of winning auction and that payment be received within 7 days.

A bidder with 100% feedback (with over 800 feedback) bid and won my auction on Monday, May 10th. Well, I haven't heard from her via e-mail or through the ebay checkout feature.

All my other winning bidders this week have paid and all packages have been sent out already.

I'm just waiting on this one bidder. It's not even an expensive item.

She might have already sent payment. But she needs to let me know so I can expect it and I still don't have her mailing address so I can't even get her package ready to mail.

I'm just surprised not to have heard from her at all. It's been more than 3 days from end of auction already and she seems to be an experienced, as well as good ebayer.

I just sent her a reminder e-mail. I didn't like the form letter e-mail that you can send through ebay, so I wrote my own. Hopefully, she will respond quickly.

I'm assuming from her numerous positive feedback that maybe this lack of communication is a fluke. I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not upset or anything (yet). More anxious to get my clutter shipped out. Here's my question (finally), how long would you wait while giving her the benefit of the doubt? What should I do next, if I don't get a reply or a money order in the mail by Monday night? How about by the end of next week?

I have about 200+ old record albums I'd like to try and sell on ebay. What would be the best way to list them - in groups of 10, 20, 50? List each one separately? Also, how would you suggest mailing them? They don't fit in any of the padded envelopes I have. I'm assuming they can be sent via media?

Or maybe I shouldn't even bother?

Sorry for all the questions. I usually stick with easy things such as clothes or books. Thought I'd try and branch out a little more......:)

Some old records can be valuable. Some can be worthless. I would try searching the completed items by artist and see if you come up with anything. Or sell them to me for $5 total and I will do it...... ;)

Now my question.......

I have a cabbage patch doll from 1984. These things are going on eBay anywhere from .99 to $549. (See this item Expensive Cabbage So what makes this one stand out so much? Is it because it has a pacifier? My poor Omar Isaac has the same type of denim outfit and has a red cap (anchored to box - not on his head), but no pacifier. He's also a blondie & is from 1984. He is mint in his box but I am very puzzled as to how the value ranges on these things. Any ideas?

Sleepy -

I had a similar situation a few months ago. My item sold with BIN and the winner bidder had excellent FB for quick payment. After sending my own email instead of an invoice generated through PayPal or eBay, the "buyer" responded that his account had been hijacked. Within a few days his account was NARUd.

I suggest starting the NPB process. Either the buyer will respond or you'll be able to collect your listing fees if you relist and sell. GL.

Here's a great link about how to use a priority mail box to mail a single record album

Hi. I have an item up for bid and the description says I'll only sell within the US. The highest bidder is from Hong Kong and has a few old negative feedback. The highest bid is at $200. What what you do?

I did get an email from Hong Kong bidder asking if I would ship there? What should I do?
