The first very popular thread on eBaying your way to Disney had to be closed because it was over the allowable amount of pages.

This is a continuation of the original thread which can be found HERE

Please refer to the information on eBay Usernames before posting.

FAQs can be found HERE.

Happy bidding!

Oh thank goodness! I thought we were shut down for arguing over feedback! :p

This is a great deal for people who go through a lot of envelopes!

I just ordered 500 #1 envelopes for only 0.1388 per envelope :).

First of all, they have a sale on envelopes and then there is a $20 coupon off any order of $75 or more.

Here are the details:

(1) Go to www.viking.com and type "WN2-JL-0" into the "find" box. That is the code for the #0 envelopes. If you need smaller envelopes click on "previous" at the bottom of the page and "next" for bigger envelopes.

(2) When you check out, include coupon "QJ1-PRD20" to get your $20 off. The code expires on 3/31/04. The place to enter the code is on the first page at the check-out and is a little tricky since it says "quantity" and "stock number" instead of "coupon code".

(3) Viking has free shipping on all orders over $25, but adds a $1.48 fee plus sales tax.

For instance, #0 envelopes are $31.47 per box of 250 when you buy 3 boxes or more. 3 boxes are $94.41 which qualifies for the discount. The cost for 750 envelopes is now $74.41 or 0.099 per envelope. It turns out to be a little over 10 cents per envelope because of the taxes.

I hope that helps some volume sellers. I know I go through a lot of #0's (I sold 13 books on Amazon in the last 24 hours) and a 6 cent per envelope savings really adds up!

Thanks for starting a new thread....I'll try to keep up this time..:D

I saw someone mention this board over at community and thought I'd check it out. I see lots of familiar faces! :teeth:

I've been selling on Ebay for over five years to help support my Disney habit. I also am heavily into Reward Programs. They aren't as good as they use to be but still pay me enough to keep me interested. Since the first of this year, I've made over $65! Not bad for a small amount of time through out the day. If anyone is interested, PM me.

I also do at least one mega yard sale a year. Living in MA, I have to wait for the weather to cooperate. That usually means May or June. Whatever money I make from the sale goes right to my Disney fund.

My Sig is really the truth... I have been searching for creative ways to get to WDW since my first visit. Hope to find some new ideas to add to my list on this board. :D

I have several pieces of gymboree that I am ready to list....I know that gymboree sells better when the line it came from is listed. Is there a place I can go to find the gymboree lines/year?

thanks :)

Robin, thanks for the tip on the Viking sale--unfortunately they were out of stock for the size envelopes I wanted, but they would have been a great deal with the $20 off coupon!

Just stopping in to say hello on the new thread. I've been scouring the original thread for a couple of hours now, taking notes. I've only made it to page 20 and my eyes are almost ready to pop out of their sockets.

Since reading the first 60-80 pages (I forget how far I ever made it), I was inspired. I'd sold a few items before, but stepped away for about a year. I jumped in and began selling some things that I found lying about the house (household items I no longer needed, outgrown clothes). Since July 2003 I've netted nearly $400 (a payment in the next few days will put me over that mark).

I'm compiling the notes taken from the original thread and would like to paste it to the top of the BB. The Webmasters have told me that they are trying to find the easiest way to extract the important details from that thread - no easy task on a thread with almost 400 pages and over 5000 posts! In any case I'm taking notes for myself and to share with others who get the bug to sell on ebay.

OK now that I can read th ethread in 2 minutes, think I will ask a question.

Need advice for a good lister. I am tired of using old format and want to see if a lister works better.

Anyone?

Has anybody had luck so bad that the fee for listing out weighed anything they got in sales....This is one of my fears...

Actually that has happened with us, but it was for small lower cost items to begin with.

We just chalked it up as a "loss" and for it to be a way to gain feedbeck. We would call them a feedback sale.

I just listed a ton of stuff...alot of Disney stuff! Anyone looking for a bargain...take a visit to Ourdisneyfund!

Yes - I have had that happen, and it was a real eye opener. I sold something and with the listing fee, the final value fee, and the PayPal fee, I ended up losing money. Not much though, probably under $2, and I consider it a lesson learned.

Congrats Virgo! That's a great profit!!!

What was the lesson?? Don't sell on ebay or what??

No, just that sometimes it's better to throw something away than sell it for 99-cents. :)
