Can someone clear up what I read on another post.

Why do you have to rent tubes? Is it for the lazy river ride? If so, is it $3.00 per day?

Help! and thanks! :flower:

Yes, tubes are not free at SAB like they are at BB and TL. You can rent by the hour or by the day. Not sure of the price.

But you can also bring your own....which would save some money over the lenght of stay.

But they have to be clear - totally see-thru

Someone else posted a web site with the type of tubes you can get. They don't have to be clear we use blue, red and green ones they just have to be transparent. They were a little small for me average white male but it worked fine for the wife and kids and my son just loved floating around that river. Two more points having them they took up space back in the room but when I tried to get a tube for myself they were all rented out for the day so it was nice to have ours.

We brought tubes last year. They were transparent. I only paid .$99 at Kmart. We just left them on the balcony and left them by the pool when it was time to go home.

Thanks for all the info... I think I'm going to get some clear tubes before we go down!

BTW - What is the rental price per tube per day?

Thank you very much. That's why I come to these boards; to get help from those who know. Thanks, :wave2: Anna

Can you purchase a tube at the YC/BC to use for the length of your stay, or are they only available for rent on a daily basis?

That's great information. I found a tip I can add to my spreadsheet. Thanks for bringing this topic up CuteKatCar

We rented tubes and then never used them... they are so big, and hard to get up into - once you are in, you are totally out of the water, I like being in the water... the noodles were much better IMO, we had a great time in the lazy river with them.

Yes, noodles are fine. A caution about bringing your own tubes, if it gets too crowded they won't let you use them.

Just curious. Is this tube the kind that you can blow it up yourself or is this tube like the heavy one (like the tire) and you have to use the air pump from the gas station? Since you guys mentioned that it has to be tranparent, so I guess it the one you can actually blow up yourself. I think I answered my question. Is there a restriction of how big the tube can be or little for my children? How come $99? Is this a raft? I thought you can get a tube for $5 the cheap one.

The reason why I am asking this now is that I know in the future that I will be staying there. This is one of the resort that is on my "hit" list. And since this subject has come up, I just better know it now that forgetting it later.

Thanks so much in advance!

We just stayed here in the beginning of June. I noticed that on the week days that the tubes were just floating around and the rental place not open. They were not charging. But on Fri - Sun they were----It was $10 per day.

Not sure why but this is what I noticed on my recent trip there :confused3

I hope that this can help.

I believe the poster wrote $.99 which is 99¢.

It does depend on how crowded the pool is as to whether or not you can bring your own tube, Anne is completely right. There have been plenty of times when we've seen them turn people away. We've rented them a few times and had a ball. Just keep an eye on them as it's like Castaway Cay, if you leave them for too long sometimes they can be taken!
