This is my very first trip report...oh I've had other trips...just never got around to reporting about them. :guilty: I'm hoping to remember enough from our upcoming May 8 day long trip to do a report then too. But for now this was our quicky for the day. So here it goes..

DH-Chad(26)-Loves Disney when we are there and doesn't want to leave, but I have to bribe him to get us there to begin with. :confused3
Me-Mandee/Mom(23)-Self diagnosed Disneyoholic, lives for planning our next trip...already trying to figure out how to get DH to renew our AP's. I needed this day trip to get me through until May. :cool1:
DS-Jeremiah(4 3/4)-LOVES WDW, but his real love is the "Real Disney World, you know Mom with the castle." 40 3/4in. tall, rode TOT last Sept. and didn't scream. He says he won't do it again because it made his "belly hurt". He swears up and down that, "No Mom you're arguing with ME." He thinks the Disney resorts ARE Disney World.
DS-Seth(3 3/4)-LOVES WDW, but would probably be content if we only went to a resort and stayed there. He thinks hotels are the greatest. 40in. FINALLY tall enough for some of those great rides!
DS-Ethan(23mo)-He thinks Mickey Mouse is the best. :worship: Asks me to draw MM on his hand EVERYDAY. He also has a new found obsession with Buzz..demends to watch it at LEAST 4 times a day.
DS-Kaleb(7weeks, 3 days)-First trip outside of the womb. He was an angel!

It all began Friday night. DH comes home from work and we are going about our daily rituals, taking showers, giving baths, making dinner, having coffee...you know the ones. Anyway after he had been home for about 2 hours he says,"Oh your Dad wants to come over tonight and sit around the fire(out in the backyard).(Mom was at a Ladies conference) Aimee(DS18) will come over and watch a movie with you." Me: "WHAT??!?!?!?! I don't want to watch a movie with Aimee I want to spend the evening with you. I've been with 4 kids with no one to talk to all week, I want to spend time with you, not my sister. This isn't fair to me, I get to stay in the house with the kids while you are outside till 3am(maybe a little bit of an exageration) and I have to go to bed by myself because I can't stay up late since I have to sleep when the baby sleeps. blah blah blah" He's getting a little PO'd now but I don't stop...now I start crying about how I just spent the whole day cleaning the house and now they were all going to come over and I'd have to clean again Sat. He realizes FINALLY that we have had this same conversation not too long ago after my family had come over and he and my dad and a friend stayed outside until like 1am and made a HUGE mess of my JUST cleaned house. So he says he shouldn't have made plans without checking with me about the status of the house. :rotfl: I am a little obsessed. So we compromise and they come over but only stay inside, no fire. (Drags in all kinds of dirt and grass.) A little while later I casually say,"You should have said,'Your Dad is coming over for a fire, and by the way, I'm taking you to WDW tomorrow.'" He thought about it and said,"You want to?" So the packing began. I threw together diapers and wipes in a bag and made Jeremiah and Seth get dressed in what they would wear Sat. and we were ready!

I go to bed after 11 and am up at 3 with Kaleb....5:30AM the alarm goes off. Of course it's EASY to get out of bed that early when you're going to MK! So I start getting ready get everyone up and feed Kaleb. We didn't make it out the door until after 6. Didn't start heading out of town until 7am(had to get gas) But it was a beautiful day!

It's a 2 1/2-3 hour drive on nice country backroads...Kaleb started freaking out once, so I hoped in the back and gave him a bottle. In his car seat of course. The whole way we have the radio blasting so we don't have to listen to the "Are we there yet's" We didn't tell them where we were going, just that we were taking them to a park. Finally the MM power lines..uh oh, I hope the boys don't seem them.

Jeremiah: "LOOK there's Mickey Mouse, this is Disney World"
I should have known... :earseek:
Me: "Yeah Disney World is around here."

Okay a couple more miles and we go under the WDW welcome sign. I hold my breath hoping they don't see it.

Seth: "HEY! This is where Disney World lives!"

Drats! I tried.
We say nothing until we get to the parking lot and Chad tells them where we are and that we surprised them.
Jeremiah: "When are we going to the park with a slide?" :faint:

You can never please them.

It takes us forever to get out and the stroller out and diapers changed and Kaleb in his sling. Finally we are standing there waiting for the tram, er uh, I mean "That cool, fast noisy ride." We piled on to the tram. Chad first with the stroller and then our 3 DS. Then I got in with the backpack and Kaleb(7weeks). After we get in this family of 4 starts getting in the seat in front of us. They had about a 4 year old and the baby looked around the same as my DS7wks. Mom and 4 yr old get in Mom is holding the baby. Her DH hands her the infant car seat(for the life of my I can't figure out why SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people do that, I would NEVER bring my CAR SEAT to the parks, talk about carry too much stuff.... Okay, so now Dad lifts up the double stroller and gets in. Great, were ready to go :cool1: ...nope. CM comes over and tells Dad that the stroller has to be closed. No big deal right, we've all done it a MILLION times. Well aparently it was his first. :confused3 He can't figure out how to do it. He pushes the butten and twists and handle and it only closes a little bit. Mom is trying to explain it to him all the while getting more and more PO'd that he can't close the stinking stroller. Dad is also getting VERY PO'd and at this point starts slamming the stroller up and down. :bounce: :scared: This man from their row got down and was trying to help..but nope. It won't close..well it could have something to do with the fact that they had 3 big bags in the basket. :confused3 We had twice as many kids and only one backpack(without wheels. ) I don't know why they needed sooooooooooooooooooooo much stuff. So now he trys to take a bag out, with the stroller half collapsed...of course it doesn't come out and he resorts to more up and down banging of the stroller. :bounce: Finally she got a clue and they got off the tram because he wasn't going to be able to close that stroller. He obviously never took, "Stroller 101". When she got off the CM said over the speaker, "Yeah, I didn't think so." But really, I felt horrible for them starting their day out that way. I hope things got better.

We get to the TTC and of course first thing is we have to make a potty stop. While I am waiting with Ethan and Kaleb and Chad took Jeremiah and Seth in, Ethan spots the monorail. He FREAKS out, I can only imagine he is going to end up like Em from Delswifes trip reports. Everytime it comes wizzing by he flips and wants to go to it. Finally we are heading up the ramp and onto the Monorail. Ethan was in heaven...when we got to MK and got off he saw the opened door next to the one we came out of and said,"AGAIN!". The line to get in was short on our side, but super long from everyone getting off the busses. Chad waited for about 15 minutes to get a stroller and we were off!

Ah..there is nothing like walking under the train station and walking into MK. The castle was beautiful all ready for the celebration..although I have to admit, I think the big picture on the front looks kindy tacky.

It is crazy busy since it's already after 10am. So we decide to head into Tomorrowland and see what's going on at Buzz before going to Mickey's Toontown Fair. We took the little path through the roses and I had to stop and take a picture of the castle.
f4e7f4b7.jpg

My obsession is bad...I think I have more pictures of the castle than of my kids. :earseek:

On the way to Buzz I notice a line about a half mile long, at the end is none other than Buzz himself. I pointed him out the Ethan and he flipped. "Buzz, buzz, buzz." We'll be back in a couple months and I'll get you a minute with him, don't you worry. Once we fight the crowds with our 2 strollers we see Buzz is a 30+ minute wait. We decide to grab FP's and come back later. Off to MTTF. The barnstormer is a 50 minute wait. Oh boy...this isn't good. I'm thinking Chad is flipping about now about how busy it is and what a waste of time since the waits are so long. I hold my breath and suggest we come back later during the parade. We head into FL and, What's that! Only 20 minutes for Mickey's Philharmagic! :3dglasses Yay! This is Chad's favorite! So we hope in line and while waiting I snap a few pictures while always on the look out for bad shoes. :teeth:

I don't know what Jeremiah's problem was, he said something about not wanting his teeth to show? :confused3 It's always something.

We ran into a horrible CM while waiting, but finally we were seated! Everyone in our row even went all the way down to the end. I hate it when they stop in the middle and you're forced to walk over them to get to the end. Just as soon as the show started a baby about 4 people down from me starts wailing. "Great, how am I going to enjoy this when I can't hear anything." Well it seems someone was looking out for me because no sooner did the wailing start I'm not noticing it as much..did someone turn up the volume in here? The show was WONDERFUL! I had to hold back my tears as I watch my boys jump and reach for things. It's sooooooooo magical.

About the time we get out Chad is talking about staying overnight. huh? You hate WDW remember? I said,"We don't have any clothes?" He said,"Its a nice day we won't sweat..." I let it go, I figured that he would come to his senses later and realize we probably wouldn't be able to get a room anyway.

Pooh was a 60 minute wait already so we go into Snow White which was only 25 and it wasn't even that long. I rode with Seth and he was speachless the whole time. Now THAT's magic. :p

Now we are starving and only have about 15 minutes left of our FP times. So we head back that way to catch Buzz and eat at Cosmic Rays. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for Buzz and in that time I caught Ethan's first glimpse of where we were.
f4e7f4fa.jpg

I don't even want to talk about my score...

Now we head to Cosmic Rays...and we head right out. Lines longer than the rides and no seats...we go to Pinochio Village Haus...and leave. No seats and that place is HUGE! So we decide to head toward Frontierland and get turkey legs and pretzels for the boys. On the way there we see a ton of people with hot dogs..I look around and see the sorce. I said "lets just get hotdogs for the kids and me and then we can go get your leg." So Chad parks us in a corner and gets in line. About now Kaleb is getting fussy, so I park myself down behind the strollers and feed him. The line moved fast and we just sat there while the boys ate. The hot dog was great..but Chad put ketchup on it...he should have known better. After we are all done and inbetween time for feeding Kaleb we move down to the walkway that is over the water back behind the turkey legs. I plant myself down again inthe corner behind the strollers and finish feeding Kaleb. We are sitting there for about 5 minutes when Jeremiah starts dancing and saying the dreaded words..."I have to go poopy." Sigh. "Well you'll have to wait until Daddy comes back." Finally after much dancing Chad comes back after like 15 minutes and I take him and Seth to the bathroom. We all squeeze into a stall and Jeremiah starts to try and stand to pee. WAIT A MINUTE! I thought you had to poop!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah. So he sits and I make him squeeze SOMETHING out. I thought he was going to burst a vein. lol! We get back to Chad and he is done and ready to go. gee thanks for saving me a bite. The lines for BTMR and SM are both an hour so we get a FP for SM because that's what Seth said he wanted to do..and it was his first time. Well the FP time was for 4:50-5:50 and we needed to head out of the by 4:30. We didn't tell Seth just yet. We head off to POC. Only a 25 minute wait and look! We get to go on the left side! I've never gotten to go that way. It was ncie to have different things to look at. While waiting I asked someone how old their little girl was which started the over present questions...."You have 4?" "Are they all yours" "That one is a boy too?" "FOUR BOYS!" "Look how good they are" "Why are they so good" "Look at them just standing there". By now about 30 people are crowding around looking at our circus act of our 4 boys just standing around like good behaved little boys should. After POC I notice that it's 3. Great we are boxed in by the parade. So we head over towards Adventureland since it'll clear up there first. So much for going to MTF during the parade. While we are sitting there waiting for the parade to pass Chad has a sugar low and is ready to go home. We talked about it and he got a coke and felt better.

While he is waiting I take a pic of the crowds,

more to come....

We head back through FL on our way to MTF. There is no wait for the carousel so we hop on.

Once in MTF we see that the BarnStormer is a 40 min. wait. I convinced Chad that we needed to wait and do it for the boys since we couldn't do SM and they have been talking about the "airplane ride" all day. I said,"I'll take them on and you can feed Kaleb a bottle before we go."
Chad: "WHAT?"
I've never been on a coaster in my life I am scared to try them.
I told him I wanted to take them and hopefully I'd like it. So off we go. While we are waiting I'm telling myself.
"Self, you can do this for goodness sake! Your little boys aren't afraid."
"Of course I can. If my kids can handle it so can I!"
"Wait a minute! Jermeiah went on TOT!"
I continue to tell myself it will be okay, it's only a 10 second ride for goodness sake. 25 minutes later and we are loading up. I'm very nervious now, but I press on...and I LOVED It! I can't wait to go back in May so I can do BTMR and SM! I see Chad while we are up there and I wave. WHOA! Wait a minute, keep your hands inside the vehicle...I almost lost my arm to the barn. :teeth: We meet back up with Chad and I tell him that I liked it. It's now time to head home. :sad2: We take the back way from MTF to Tomorrowland...everything is so beautiful..I need another pic of the castle.

It's so much easier to leave when you know you're coming back soon. But still, parting is such sweet sorrow...

One last trip on the monorail, all the while Ethan is flipping out. He would be happy just to ride that all day.

We didn't end up getting on the road until about 5:40 because it took so long to get from the park to the van, with a bathroom and diaper change stop at TTC. But finally we were all packed in and Kaleb was out for the count. At least for a couple hours...

Thanks so much for the wonderful report and pictures. I soo wish we could jump in the car and go. PS. We have four little girls that are all really close in age too. And LOL about the "park with the slide" as you surprise them with the Magic Kingdom Park. I understand that too well.

:goodvibes :)

Thank you so much for the trip report. I wish we didn't have to wait 2 more months to go.

PS I noticed your name Mandee. I thought my niece was the only one who spelled her name that way.

Thanks for the great day trip report. You have a beautiful family. It must be so nice to be able to go for a day trip. :cool1:

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

I loved seeing the castle. We were there in Jan, and there were no changes whatsover to the top.

They've done a lot!

Ok, I admit it -- it was the last photo that got to me -- that littlest one of yours sleeping in his car seat, all squashy and cute! We always took "homeward bound" photos of our kids. When my 2 boys were aged 5 and 4 and dd was 8 mos, we have a shot of each of them in the car, comotose (they stayed that way from Disney's doors through the entirety of Georgia!) Thanks for bringing back a fond memory while sharing yours!

Thank you for sharing your trip and pictures! Your boys are adorable! I have four boys also, they are so much fun! They're older now, but your pictures reminded me of when they were that age! :flower:

Your report and your boys are wonderful. My daughter also has 4 boys, 5 3/4, 4 3/4, 2 3/4, and 13 1/2 months. When we were at WDW in December, everyone asked if they were all hers and if they were all boys. In fact, people ask her those questions wherever she goes. Enjoy them - they grow up very fast.

Thank you everyone for your compliments and words of encouagement. We had to postpone our May trip for Sept..I hope to be able to post a trip report then. Thanks. :goodvibes

Amzing trip report! Isn't so much fun to see our kids enjoying themselves in this manner. I love the pics and all you had to share. I have two girls ages 3 & 5 and they are bunch of fun as well. Great report!

Wow, I wish I could pack up and go to WDW for a day.

I have 4 kids too. Mine are a little more spread apart in age though. Some people cannot fathom having more than 2 children. Actually I thought it was quite easy. My kids never fought, they have always gotten along. And, my motto was, "just because someone may get something you want, your day will come too." The score was never even in my house, everyone was loved and everyone got along, except for once, I had to seperate the 2 middle one's when they wanted to beat the crap out of each other (2 red heads).

Now that the 2 oldest are in college and the 2 younger ones are in h.s. they are on the phone, text messaging, e-mailing and visiting each other all the time. The older one's college friends cannot believe they all get along when they visit each other.

Enjoy your babies, the time flies by so fast.

Wow what a great way to spend the day... I just get to go to the mall.
I have 4 boys as well ages 8 yrs to 9 mths and we leave for our first trip ever in a little over a month, I can't wait.
BTW I totally get it when you talked about the family with 2 kids and 2x as much stuff...I often wonder what they could possibly be bringing that I forgot 'cause we never have that much stuff :earboy2:

OMG you had me howling with the love ya hon now can you move- you are blocking my view!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: I have a 3 week old and DH thinks I am crazy to want to take him so soon. We also have 3 other children(but I do have one girl thrown in ;) ) Loved reading your report thanks for sharing the pics. You have an adorable family(and the castle is really nice too! :rotfl2: )

How fun! Thanks for the report...I loved seeing pictures in the text and really enjoyed hearing about your family. You are one amazing woman to have 4 boys and still say nice things about them! sorry, just kidding. :teeth:

I'm very impressed by it all..can't wait for your next report. :goodvibes

what a great day trip
your boys are all adorable! thanks for posting
