You Guys Part of the Family? You've Got the Magic In Your Eyes!!->Updated 10/19x3!!!!

Haha, you and I differ so much in how we tour Epcot. Not only do Ron and I have no problem spending a full morning in Future World, we usually can find enough things to do to spend almost a full day in FW, and only get to World Showcase by dinner time. :rotfl:

Pre -warning, there are TONS of updates this day due to their being one more camera on the trip. Also....specifically this update, Lawl. sorry? (not sorry?]

Also, I have done my first day of dance competition so far and have walked away with FIVE first places!!! YAAAY! First in everything I danced, [standard, waltz, quickstep, tango!] Fingers crossed that latin today goes just as good, as the auditions next week go fantastic too!!! I also won't be brining my laptop to Floridia, so I won't be updating while gone, but I'll be sure to leave you all with tons of reading before I leave!!! Love!!

******************

Paige, Mom and I had just realized how much extra time we had, and what better way to kill some extra time but go see some of Mickey and his friends?! The posted wait time was already at 50 minutes, but knowing that it was usually longer than it actually would be, we jumped in anyways!

34-2.jpg

I do enjoy that they have little cartoons for you to watch while in line, and since I’m in this character spot less, they’re far less repetitive than the ones over in Pixie Hollow, baha!! We ended up only waiting around 20 minutes before we reached the front of the line, yay! Bonus! Before we had gotten in line Paige had stopped along the way to pick up an autograph book and pen, just your basic one as she didn’t want to spend too much money. We also decided that she’d jump in first for solo pictures, and then we’d all join in after!

Paige of course had to get a kissing photo, super cute!

And clearly we ended up being those people who take up a lot more time taking a million pictures….sorry… Haha! There was definitely also a couple of adorable small children in line in front of us, and I just loved watching them interact with the characters!

I love how Pluto signs the books! It’s gotta take a lot of practice for a dog to be able to write like that!!

Photo0335FourBySix.jpg

40-2.jpg

We did things a little differently this time, and I jumped in with Paige and Pluto!

Photo0337FourBySix.jpg

41-2.jpg

Photo0339FourBySix.jpg

Photo0340FourBySix.jpg

And then Mom jumped in by herself at the end! Changing things up, right? Haha.

Lots of hugs and love from Minnie as usual! Yay!

I jumped in with Paige of course, and since I’d already gotten all the autographs earlier in the week, there wasn’t a whole lot of point to getting them again now. (I had the second autograph book, but it wasn’t with me today…)

Photo0351FourBySix.jpg

45-2.jpg

Photo0352FourBySix.jpg

And then of course, just to change things up again, I stayed in with Mom for the pictures, clearly we can’t stick to a routine while on vacation, haha! My favsies of the Fab 5 was up next!!

He is of course, number 1!! No one can tell me otherwise! So glad Paige know sit too!

Look! Mom and I actually managed to stick to the same thing we did last time, look at us go! Yay! Aaaand….I have too many pictures, so there’s another update after this!! Stay tuned!!

Now, the cute adorable children were obviously also in line behind us, as they were still playing around with Pluto and Minnie and Donald had no one to hang out with for a bit there. Since Goofy was taking his time with the family in front of us, we had some time to take pictures of Minnie and Donald playing around!!

50-2.jpg

52-2.jpg

53-2.jpg

54-1.jpg

They were being so adorable just playing around with each other and having fun! It’s so rare that you see a place where characters meet together now, it’s awesome to see them interacting together and having fun. I’ve noticed even in places like the character spot & pixie hollow, they won’t “cross over” the “invisible border” between their meet & greet areas, it’s weird. Like, I think it’d be so much more fun if everyone could kinda meet at once and have a blast!

55-2.jpg

56-2.jpg

LOOK AT HOW CUTE HE IS!! ACCCKK I just want to love him and call him my squishy! Heh heh! Minnie and Donald then noticed a bunch of people were up at the windows, waving and taking pictures from the outside, and they went right up to them to schtick with them and have some fun!

51-1.jpg

57-2.jpg

58-2.jpg

Donald grabbed a bunch of the photopass cards from one of the photographers and then proceeded to stick them all up onto the window, they were having so much fun, it was just awesome! Then, it was our turn to see Goofy!

Photo0362FourBySix.jpg

59-2.jpg

Photo0363FourBySix.jpg

Photo0364FourBySix.jpg

Clearly Goofy & Paige fell in love right away, but of course the proposal’s a scandal, don’t let Paige’s boyfriend find out about it! Bahaha.

Clearly we had some goofy fun with those guys today! It was a great time, some good character meet and greets, and now it was officially 11:00 and we could start our exploring of World Showcase next!

I so agree about the angles for photos. I gues it's really true of all the park icons really.

I think Soarin' is one of the few rides where people ALWAYS applaud at the end. At least in my experience. It's so beautiful and exhilarating

That's so awesome about the competitions! I saw that on FB. Congrats!!!

Awww The photo with Paige and Mickey is so cute.

Oh man I so agree about watching the characters interact. Simply precious, and at times, hysterical.

Congratulations on all the first places and I hope the latin competition went well.

There is no such thing as too many pictures of Disney! I loved all of the character pictures and seeing the interation between Minnie & Donald was priceless!

Congrats on the dance competition!

Awesome pictures! A great idea to introduce Paige to the characters!

Ah congrats on the competitions!! That's awesome!!

Ah I love the character spot! The pictures of Paige kissing Mickey are beyond adorable.

And omg I love your dress!

All of the pictures are awesome, there's no such thing as sharing too many character photos in my world!

Congratulations for all your first places in the dance competition! Also, lots of great pictures with the characters. I agree, the one where Donald leans on his handler is adorable.

It totally is! Each trip i take a million pictures of the castle, because really, you can never have enough of those!! Soarin is great, I really like it now, I'm really happy that it doesn't make me sick anymore haha

Thank you!! It was a very successful weekend for our studio as well!

I would almost rather just watch characters interact together than actually meet them myself. I love it so much more when there's two characters together in a meet and greet!!

Great pics! :)

Thanks!!!

Thank you!! Latin did go great, it was another clean sweep! All firsts! I'm dying haha.

Hahah that's good, because I sure had a lot from today!! They're so cute, like, seriously, adorbs!

Congrats on the dance competition!

Awesome pictures! A great idea to introduce Paige to the characters!

Thank you!! And yeah, Paige certainly enjoyed it!

Thank you!! It was super cute, and a theme she kept up over the next week too! Thanks!! I got it in Disney, it's all hidden Mickeys mixed in with the print!!

Congratulations for all your first places in the dance competition! Also, lots of great pictures with the characters. I agree, the one where Donald leans on his handler is adorable.

Thank you!!! Donald is just too cute, like, ugh.

Paige Mom and I left the character spot out of the back door that you’re directed over to when you leave, and headed out towards World Showcase. I noticed there were no friends out training today, too bad, would have loved to chat with some of them!

62-2.jpg

63-2.jpg

I had briefed over Imagination earlier, and Paige didn’t seem that interested, so we decided to skip past it!

64-2.jpg

65-2.jpg

66-2.jpg

World Showcase is by far one of the prettiest things at Disney, it’s so beautifully detailed and amazingly well done!

67-2.jpg

69-2.jpg

Selfie pics!! Clearly we were headed into Canada first, it was just the obvious choice as I had started in Mexico the last time!

70-2.jpg

71-2.jpg

What’d’you think, could we get away with these in every day life? Here’s another pic to help you guys decide!

72-2.jpg

73-2.jpg

A cute little bear puppet! Yay! Paige found a super cute pair of sunglasses while we were there, they actually kinda match mine, but in pink!

74-2.jpg

75-2.jpg

76-2.jpg

The pavilion is done really well, despite the fact that it really doesn’t represent Canada now a days (although if you go into the movie and watch it, that, is what Canada looks like, and it’s gorgeous!) We didn’t go in today, as we were one heck of a hungry bunch, none of us really ate that morning.

77-2.jpg

78-2.jpg

79-2.jpg

80-2.jpg

81-2.jpg

82-2.jpg

The little fish and chip stop sounded good to all of us, but it wasn’t quite open yet, it was still pretty early, so we had some time to explore into the UK’s shops while we waited!

83-2.jpg

The first shop of the UK shops we hit up was the tea shop, and hey, I seriously love me some tea!

84-2.jpg

85-2.jpg

I love that they’ve got all the authentic British treats in there too, like Flakes! I haven’t seen those in forever, om nom nom!! I took quite a bit of time browsing through all the flavours of tea that they had, and eventually settled in on a Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea, a Christmas Tea, Winter Spice Tea, and a French Vanilla Spice Chai Tea (they were 4 for $20, of course I was going to get 4 of them) Paige made a comment on how I would be set for tea for a year or two, psssh, totally doesn’t know how much tea I drink!! She also found a nice loose leaf tea and Mickey head tea strainer (is that what they’re called) for her Mom, and we had all that sent back to the resort!

86-2.jpg

87-2.jpg

It’s seriously like your being transported to a different place every time you walk from one country to the next, it’s amazing! Also, I love what they’ve done with the Winnie the Pooh meet and greet in there, it’s all dressed up like Christopher Robin’s bedroom!

88-1.jpg

89-2.jpg

Some Guiness bar mats! (Apparently you don’t notice these kind of things until you’re a bartender haha!)

90-2.jpg

Since it had now reached around 11:30, and we were getting VERY hungry, we practically bolted over to the Fish & Chip Stand! Mom and I dicussed how once you’ve had *real* fish and chips, you can’t go back. Both of us have been to Australia, and once you’ve had fish that were caught that day, literally out the door, nothing else tastes the same. I have had these ones before though, and said they’d be pretty good.

Since Mom & I had so many counter service credits left, we used them to pay for everyone’s meals today, Paige was all “oh no, you don’t have to” at first, but when I explained we had WAY too many, and they would expire at midnight tomorrow, she accepted it. We all got the Fish & Chips, with water, and a cookie for dessert, and then made our way around the back of the shop to sit over by the water while we ate! Mom also got some sort of an ale to drink as well.

91-2.jpg

And a close up of the Fish & Chips, and the Cookie! (it was huge!)

92-2.jpg

93-2.jpg

The fish & chips were even served on fake newspaper, it was awesome!! They also definitely live up to the standards, everything was super tasty, nice and greasy like they should be, but not so much that you’re gagging while eating it, like, less gross tasting than most fast food haha! The cookies were absolutely huge as well, but also delicious! We all ate all of it!

94-1.jpg

Dining Review: UK Fish & Chip Shop
-4/5
- Nice & quick service
-Great fish!
-Wish there was a different choice for dessert, you only get the choice of a cookie or potato chips, I would have liked a fruit option (those kids grapes & apple slices are great!)

While we were eating, there were a couple of ducks wandering around the area, just waiting for someone to drop some food, and Paige of course did, but actually did it on purpose…we all know what that means…

95-2.jpg

Yup…that duck kept coming back for more & more and Paige was getting a little freaked out by it, but at least she learnt not to feed the birds. And it was only a duck, not one of those terrifying looking birds in Frontierland!

96-2.jpg

Such a pretty view to eat lunch at, hey? It was great! When we finished eating, we packed up the remaining water bottles we had and headed out throughout the UK!

97-2.jpg

I believe Alice was on her way back in, and it was the same one I had twirled with the other night! Yay! Since she was on her way for some tea, we stopped by the other lovely lady of the UK, Mary!

98-2.jpg

99-2.jpg

100-2.jpg

101-2.jpg

I’m sure she was lovely, I have literally no notes about her, and since Mom & I had already seen her earlier in the week, just Paige went for pictures & autographs!

I don't remember anything about that post except the Fish & Chips! Well maybe there was a moose head and Mary Poppins in there somewhere. :rotfl: Those Fish & Chips were my favorite CS meal from my Mother and Daughter trip last Nov. Now I'm starving and I still have two hours till lunch. :faint:

Welcome back!! It sounded like a great, though short, trip with quite a memorable dinner at BOG. Looking forward to hearing about that!

One of these days I am going to start in Mexico. To date I ALWAYS start in Canada. It's just the "always go right" thing that many of us suffer from. Somehow I am able to overcome that in Magic Kingdom for some reason, but Epcot... Nope.

I was really impressed with the Pooh meet and greet makeover. it's really cute and better than just a simple backdrop.

Funny story about the Fish & Chips. Back in 2009 there was a group of us who went there. One of my buddies (who is a pretty big guy) got his first and I swear, the fish looked ike a couple sardines in batter they were so small. We didn't think much of it untill the rest of us got ours with huge pieces of fish. Honestly, I thought he was going to cry.

All right, I'm getting all caught up now!

Hahaha. Dear sweet baby Jesus in a tuxedo shirt. I love your description of dipping the pretzel bread in the cheddar cheese soup.

I'm glad that you enjoyed Le Cellier. We haven't been back there in a number of years, because our last experience wasn't the greatest. And there have been so many other places to go! Hahaha.

You are absolutely right that the princesses we grew up with don't get the love like they used to.

Donald is the best! Well, I mean, you know I think this.

You and Naveen definitely have some magical friendship there.

I completely agree that World of Color is absolutely incredible. Having finally seen it in person, there is no comparison. Not that the shows in WDW aren't great. But WOC is insane.

Hahahah. Dude, I never really walk through the SoA unless I have to now. You're right. See it once....

I am pretty sure that the table you and your mom sat at in 50's Prime Time was the same one Jeni and I were at in November.

Um....why wouldn't they accept your Canadian ID? I don't understand.....I would have been miffed too!

We are definitely planning on seeing Fantasmic! in the summer. I haven't seen it in a few years, and I know the kids will love it.

Hahaha. I'm very much like your Mom and love taking pictures of people when they're not paying attention. Heehee.

Mmmm, Tortuga Tavern looks good. Often when we go, it's not open. I'm guessing I'll have to make a point to stop there in July.

I think it's funny that people get on Disney for having performers wear wigs that are identical. In the theater world, you'd never have a show where the entire cast is in some kind of wig that creates continuity and uniformity. And Disney, in the end, is just a big theater production. :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, the three littles dressed up at CRT....so absolutely adorable!

Hahaha. Oh dear. That's Elliot the dragon. Not Puff. Hehehe. Watch Pete's Dragon. It's a good classic.

Three in a row on EE is always a good way to start any day.

That's a good motto to keep. "Even if the food's not too great, there's still characters!"

Hahaha, best not to explain Dinosaur to people. I don't! I just bring them on the ride and go "it'll be fine!"

You make a very cute Alice.

Hahaha, Alice's face is priceless in those pictures. She looks absolutely horrified that she was asked to leave right when she was supposed to meet you.

Love the AoA room. I'm looking forward to seeing that resort at some point.

I know exactly what you mean about being a very aware sleeper. I am too.

Um....Donald is MY squishy. :rotfl:

ahahahahaha truth. Fish and chips there are just so great! Baha, sorry!! I sometimes hate myself for looking at Disney food pics when I'm at home, or attempting to be healthy bahaha

It was honestly amazing, I'm so glad for places like the dis and tumblr for bringing together some of the most awesome people I've met! I had such a short but great trip! The BOG story will be great, though, details will be vague haha

Bahah, I usually go with whichever way works better for our plan of the day, it wouldn't have made sense to start in Canada if our lunch was in Canada so mom and I started in Mexico! BUT then you're stuck with the problem of "is 11 am too early to have a margarita?"

Aahahahaha, hilarious!! PS...how are the fish and chips out on the coast?! It's been years since I've been out there, and I don't think I liked fish at the time, horrible maritimer I am hahaha

You wrote so much you get your own reply!! Bahaha. But really..I do that all the time too bahah.

Lawl. I love Le Cellier, that was my first experience and it was awesome, and I've been back once and it was just as awesome. We ended up having what would be two "leftover" credits on our DDP if we got it for Sept, since I already paid for HDDR, so I booked in there again, the foods just TOO GOOD. NOM.

Baha, the Naveen and I stories just keep getting better and better, I told you part of one in Nov, and since then they've just got more crazy.

I will never understand it, like Disney performers ALWAYS have a wig or a hair piece, unless they're Prince Charming, Phillip or Snow's prince. I don't get it.

HA! Did I call him Puff? Lawl, I'll check that movie out someday. But see what I mean, that parade is so outdated, like, there's so much in it that kids won't get it, they want to see different characters!

I don't even like Dinosaur, so I won't go on it haha. ToT however, I'll just bring people on, I don't care "it's fun, let's just ride it!"

Thank you! Here's hoping it'll actually happen someday, I'd love to be friends with Alice! Lawl.

AoA was GREAT! I just wish it was cheaper, to stay in a suite is more expensive than Akl...ugh

Aahahahaha, hilarious!! PS...how are the fish and chips out on the coast?! It's been years since I've been out there, and I don't think I liked fish at the time, horrible maritimer I am hahaha

You know to be honest, I haven't had any in a really long time. But, I do know there are some wonderful places to get it though. I know one in particular where the fish is MASSIVE (Eastern Passage), but it's been a couple years.
