I was looking at the Hollywood Studio's Guidemap and it shows a walkway and boat from HS to the Epcot Resorts and Epcot. So basically I take the Monorail from Contemporary to Magic Kingdom, Walk to the TTC and then take the Monorail from TTC to Epcot. From that point I can either walk or take the boat from Epcot to Hollywood Studio's and then do the reverse to come back.

So tomorrow, I could do what I want from 11-2 at World Showcase walk to Hollywood Studio's walk around there and then walk back to Epcot finish up there and then take the monorails back to Contemporary.

Am I figuring this out correctly.

This will take a lot longer than just taking a bus from the contemporary to DHS. Yes you can take a boat from Epcot to DHS but for your plan to work you would not get off the monorail at MK, just take it straight to the TTC then switch to the epcot monorail. At that point you will have to walk through EPCOT from the front of the park to the world showcase and exit by England to get on the boat. Again this would take a lot longer then just hopping on the DHS bus.

And you'd have to have a Hopper (or AP) since you'd need to go through Epcot.

You take the monorail from the Contemporary to the TTC. You exit that monorail and switch over to the Epcot monorail. You have to enter Epcot, walk thru Futureworld, turn right onto World Showcase, and exit at the International Gateway (between United Kingdom and France). Take the friendship boat to HS. Or you could follow the path on the Boardwalk Inn side (left side) of Crescent Lake, then before you reach the bridge to the Swan Resort, turn left and follow the path along the canal, straight to HS. You would need a Park Hopper ticket to enter both Epcot and HS.

Since you want to spend time first at Epcot yes you could. As a PP said, you would just get off the monorail at the TTC and hop over to the Epcot monorail. Once you were done in Epcot you could do the boat or walk. The boat from Epcot to HS takes about 30 minutes just fyi. We have found walking to be a bit quicker BUT it is tiring. So I would say one way walking is fine but I would boat back to Epcot if you wanted to go back. If not I'd just catch the bus back to the Contemporary. But your plan is doable.

I was trying to figure out how to do lunch at Epcot, head over to Hollywood Studios for a while and then head back to Epcot for my early evening FP. I guess I will just keep my plans as is and do Epcot Thursday and Hollywood Studio's separately on Friday.

You may want to give the Epcot to DHS back to Epcot "loop" a try.:)

I usually take the boat each way-I consider the Friendship boats "attractions" themselves.:)

If it is a pretty day,sit "outside" on the back of the Friendship-very fun and it's a great place to strike up a conversation-I have met people from literally all over the World on the back of the Friendships(They are called "Friendships" after all!lol).:)

I'm here now and it's suppose to be 87 here tomorrow and then cool of to the low to mid 70's for the following 3 days I'm here. My idea was to snack around World Showcase a bit (one of my favorite things to do), head over to Hollywood Studio's for a late BBQ rib lunch and then head back to Epcot for late evening Test Track and Mission space. I will probably just leave as is since I had already planned to go to Hollywood Studios on Friday to do Star Tours.

Well it worked out perfect. After I was done at Epcot, I took the boat over to Hollywood Studios did what I wanted their and then just took the bus from Hollywood Studios to the Contemporary and checked in at 3. This sure opens the last three days up to either do MK, or have a pool day or both.

I never realized you could even take a boat from Epcot to DHS and back! Sorry to hijack, but if I'm at Epcot until 9pm (after Illuminations) and want to go to DHS (closes at midnight that night), I could just boat it instead of dealing with the bus? Where is the boat dock located in each park?

I can't believe I never knew this, but then again, I've never needed it :)

International Gateway (between UK and France) in Epcot, outside the front gates at DHS.

The Epcot International Gateway is between France and UK. Follow the paved turn-off from the main path, along the water (on UK side of the bridge). Just outside the Epcot IG entrance will be the boat to DHS. Maybe you could head over to the dock during your Epcot day and ask a worker there about boat service after IllumiNations.

The boat stops at YC/BC, BWI, and Swan-Dolphin before proceeding to DHS. So maybe 20-30 min travel time. Boat dock at DHS is very near the entrance. Your alternative is to walk to DHS. Walk past boat dock, then left at next bridge. This path puts you on the boardwalk and there should be some night entertainers performing. Keep following the path until you see the canal between BWI and Swan, turn left, and follow that path directly to DHS. Many others will be on the path, even tho it's a little dark. No worries. Now that you know about this area, you should go exploring the resorts, shops, and restaurants there. Also on the Boardwalk is Jellyrolls, a fun adult song-request place with dueling pianos (cover charge) and a Karaoke bar at Kimonos Sushi restaurant in the Swan.

I have walked between Epcot and HS several times, it a nice break from the crowds in the park. The boat is nice as well, but it does make a few stops along the way. Looking at the map from the PP i didn't think it was that far of a walk, it definitely doesn't seem that long, plus we usually stop for ice cream on the Boardwalk as well!!

We just discovered the path last year (we've been going to WDW since 1992 LOL)!! We LOVE the walk....so beautiful and peaceful! Now we will try to make a point of walking it at least once per visit! Enjoy!!

We usually stay at BWV or BC because of the walkability to both Epcot and DHS. We are also runners so we start the day with a run around Crescent Lake and out to DHS.

One issue may be that if you are behind the crowds leaving Epcot there maybe a line to get on the boat. Others have posted that walking is just about as fast as the boat since the boat makes a few stops.
