I just started watching this show few weeks ago after bumping into an episode while flipping channels. I have been DVR'ing the episodes and I'm hooked! Not to mention, I've been trying to use more of the eating concepts from the show and I've lost almost 10 pounds! The children are slowly losing their little spare tires, too. I feel great.

Does anyone else watch this show and do you think they would ever do something like this on US television? I don't think so because the fast food lobby is so strong here, and farmers getting subsidies wouldn't let that happen. What do you think?

when does it come on? I don't think I have ever seen it but would like to check it out.

edit
I just checked out the website, and i see it is on this evening :)

I've seen it. Wait until you see the one where this lady eats many many hot dogs a week and Jillian makes her own hot dogs for her. She puts a hairy pig snout on a bun! Yuck!!! I really like Gillian. She keeps it real! Congrats on almost losing a "stone"!

I love this show, Gillian's a real tough cookie and doesn't pull any punches.

She definitely knows what she's talking about but I must admit she really gets on my nerves after a while. She can be very patronizing. And have you seen her check out people's poo yet? Uuuuugh! I gave up on the show when she started doing that and showing close ups. I mean I know it's true that what comes out is a great indication of what went in (or rather what didn't) but it's too much. There was an episode with an overweight vicar who had no energy. Now she most definitely helped him but he wanted to go through the floor when she asked him for a stool sample. Lol!! Oh then he was doing great with eating healthily but there was a social gathering in the church hall and all these kindly old ladies had baked a whole heap of cakes for the vicar. Gillian was like a demon and couldn't figure out why they hadn't baked healthy stuff. :lmao:

I have her book - it is very good but actually too comprehensive as she has so many recommendations for each ailment it's very confusing to know what to choose.
