Once again my family is poised to leave 48 hours from now from Upstate NY to make another trek to that hallowed place known as Central Florida! Once again family and friends are saying, "You're going where"?...Again?...for how long???
The story behind this phenomon is that it will be my 41st visit to WDW (my first visit was with my grandparents via a day long bus trip from Miami back in 1972) and our family has been infected with "DISNEY MAGIC" ever since. It is an infection that has been uncurable through 3 (going on 4) generations with no signs of remission.
The real difference to this trip verses all of the other visits to the "Happiest place on the Planet" is that we are traveling over 1300 miles to only visit for one day (make that about 9 hours)! We are doing this as part of our overall vacation adventure. We are flying into Orlando and from the airport driving to WDW to visit a few of the updated attractions such as POC and others. Once we make a wirl-wind tour of all four parks (as well as take in a meal at World Showcase/EPCOT) stay just long enough to see Wishes and dash out of the Magic Kingdom to drive to Vero Beach and stay overnight at DVC's Vero Beach Resort. The following morning we will depart for Miami and our 7 day Caribbean cruise.
We are really celebrating our 25th anniversary and as part of our personal celebration we wanted just to visit where the beginning of our union took place...you guessed it...our honeymoon was at WDW! Why wouldn't we visit where it all started, even if it is just for a day.
So I ask...are we really crazy? Have we lost all our marbles? Are we a few fries short of a Happy Meal??? Or, are there others that feel the same way about this place called Walt Disney World and would do as we are if you were in the same circumstances?

I once flew into Orlando for one night and was back home the Next day to go to work.
DBF and I are going for the 4th time together this December and I think it's hilaroious how people try to talk us out of it by bringing up "the

The only time we would never do Disney is when sports seasons begin. Maybe we are a bit confused too.
