You’ll never get me on a cruise. Unless it’s to ALASKA! Recap and New PTR Link! 2/1

At this point it was time to enjoy our unrestricted window view and narration which walked us through what we were seeing. 5 breathtaking glaciers (both advancing and receding) deep blue crevasses of the Juneau Icefield and snow-capped mountains, cascading waterfalls and lush forests.

Fly with us! I confess, I got a bit carried away with the pictures.

30 minutes goes by awfully fast when you are captivated by nature. I didn’t count to make sure it was really 5 glaciers or track advancing versus receding but as we began our landing approach to the lodge I know that all of us were absolutely enchanted. Although my tummy was happy we were approaching lunch, I was sad to be leaving the air, if only temporarily.

Wow! That's all I'm gonna say till you're done!

Perfect timing - you're done and that scenery is spectacular! I'm pretty speechless. Can't wait to see a real wilderness Lodge!

Holy Cats!! Amazing pictures - I can only imagine how cool it was to be flying over it all!!!

Wow! What an amazing excursion! I think you definitely chose correctly :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about the "real wilderness lodge" and your meal.

:hippie:

Wow! Wow! WOW!!!!!! Absolutely awesome pictures Cynthia! I can only imagine how breathtaking it must have been in person!

I can see why you got carried away with the picture-taking...that scenery is beautiful. I can't wait to read about your meal though.

I'm glad that Jeff got a ride in a seaplane. He must have been in heaven. Did he get to stay near the cockpit during the flight?

Wowza! Amazing, spectacular views! But not sure I could handle flying in a plane that small... I think I would be freaking out. Heck, I was a little bit just looking at the photo of you getting buckled in.

believe me, this is only a fraction of them! Meal coming up soon.

He was in the copilot seat the entire flight there. :goodvibes

He may or may not have run ahead to make sure he was first on the plane to ensure that happened. :rotfl:

It was amazing, and we aren't even close to done yet! That was just the flight there. I was fascinated by the ice (as you can see lol).

Thanks Tammie! It's been a bit nuts, I'm actually in full rehab mode now with PT twice a week, Chiro 1x a week and orthopedic massage. It is improving but it is painful getting there lol! Doesn't leave me a lot of free time though. Darn cold won't go away which is frustrating. I honestly thought it had turned into an infection. Nope, but I do have a deviated septum and they want to fix that. UGH! I'm really hoping to have major improvement in the neck by Christmas, do the surgery right after new years and hit Feb as a new person. I can hope, right? Thank heavens for insurance is all I know. It's crazy to me that 3 of us have been in PT this year.

It was worth budgeting for. A trip highlight for me, big time and this is only the first "leg" of the excursion, more to come.

Cynthia -

So sorry to hear it is taking so long for your neck to recover. :hug:You must be miserable and this is NOT the time of year to feel bad. Way too much to do. I keep returning to your TR ever so often so I can see that gorgeous scenery again. I just can't imagine how it would look in real life! :goodvibes

Nah, not miserable at all. I was but am definitely improving. Am I 100%? no, but then again, I haven't been in years! :rotfl: I should get at least one update up over the weekend. It is unreal in real life that's for sure!
