YoHo, YoHo, A Mother's Day Trip to the Mouse!

If ya'll are here on May 12th, the shuttle is due to go up, not sure of the time yet, but heard it on the news this morning!! Nice surprise, huh?? LOL I'll dig up the time for it, and let everyone know!

wow- we are leaving this day- I wonder if we will see it from the plane!?:rotfl:

The space shuttle....it goes up at 1:31 in the afternoon!!! I live literally right here by it, and work even closer to it, so we get the news on it all the time! It's Atlantis going up to repair the hubble telescope. Right now it's cool, cause there's 2 shuttles on the launch pad, atlantis on 39a to go up on the 12th, and endevour on 39b to go up for a rescue mission if the hubble damages atlantis. It's pretty neat. I wish our boat was working, then I could go get pictures, cause 2 shuttles on the launch pad doesn't happen very often!!!

Wow, bouncycat, that sounds so neat!!! How far is that from Disney World, would we be able to see it from Disney? Our plane lands in Orlando at 9:05 am that day so we'll be there! I want to see that!!!:yay:

Well, we're off to pick up baseball uniforms this morning, it's another nice day, so i'm sure we'll go back to the park!! Yesterday was around 70 and I really wanted to be in Disney World!

You can see it from Disney, we saw it go up a couple of years ago. From Disney, it looks like a big airplane with a HUGE smoke trail! It is pretty cool, not as cool as seeing it from Port Canaveral though!

Oh, that's great that we can see it from Disney, we'll be watching out for it.

We just got back from picking up the girls baseball uniforms, here they are!

And we played at the playground there!

And when we got there, Sam saw her best friend Shaili from preschool, she's also playing baseball, they were so excited to see eachother!!

I was just telling the girls about the space shuttle and they are pretty excited. I know it won't look the greatest seeing it from that far away, but they will know what it is and think it's cool!!! I'm excited too, thanks bouncycat!!!

It is pretty cool to see, even from a distance!

We went to the park today too! I forgot my camera like a big DORK! It's 75 and sunny here today and I had to unpack some shorts to wear! Tomorrow is supposed to be 59 an rainy though! It was good while it lasted! It just makes me long for Florida even more!

Wendy, I did the same thing, I had to take my capris out of the suitcase. I though I was safe to pack them, but , BAM, we got hit with a couple of nice days, but we're back to normal today, I think in the 50s!!! I can wash my capris and put them back we're they belong now!

So today I have a list of Disney things to do!!!

I'm calling Disney to make sure the "stuff" for my second room is on it's way, with only 23 days to go I'm starting to wonder, especially seeing how I got everything for the other room:confused3

I'm going to pick up some index cards and write out our park plans, times for shows and parades and the restaurants we will be eating at each day!!!

I'm going to laminate my lime green mickey heads and tie them to my carryon, my bag for the parks and my stroller!

I'm going to type out the letter to the school to tell them See ya later, we're going to Disney World for the week!!

Plus my Dad's birthday is tomorrow, so we're having a cake for him later on today! I'm always up for desert.

Sounds like you have some Disneytastic stuff to do today! I'll be cleaning and :laundy:!! I can't believe we only have 2 and 1/2 weeks left to get everything done!! I'd better get busy! My house is a mess! Maybe I can get the President to declare it a disaster zone and he'll send me some clean up funds!!:lmao:

You have a very busy day planned!!

:woohoo:For April Birthdays:woohoo:

I will eat a piece of Amanda's cake to celebrate your dad's birthday ;).

Yes Wendy, we don't have much time left to get everything done:yay:

racefan, thanks for eating a piece of cake for my Dad!!!

So I actually just got in, we've been outside all day, all of the neighbors are out, so I just had to force my kids to come in and have some lunch. That's ok, I don't have to work monday or tuesday either. I am now making my today's list a list to get done by tuesday night:goodvibes Emily is already saying, "i'm done eating can we go back out now" yeah nothings gonna get done today!! Oh well, it's too nice out. I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so that's good for my list!

Hey, no prob for the info, I just hope the weather cooperates for you!! all you'll pretty much see from there is the trail of white smoke with a little orange fireball on the top, but it's still neat! The night launches are better, but this one is in the afternoon....bummer! Gald it was nice out for you today, I wish our boat was running, then I coulda neglected the laundry and went fishin, but NOPE...dad hasn't been down to fix the boat yet...grrrr!!! LOL It's been BEAUTIFUL here, I told DH that we can only hope for this kind of weather for their birthdays....it's been low 80's with not that much humidity. I actually was getting a little chilly outside watering the plants earlier. SO everyone pray for the weather to STAY! LOL

So good news!!! I got some Disney things checked off the list tonight!!! I wrote out all of our park plans on index sized cards. They include our plans for each day, which restaurants we're eating at, parade times and fireworks times.
I also included a card that has a list of the attractions that offer Fastpass. And one that lists where the quick service restaurants are located(I don't want to be searching for them) When i'm hungry, i'm hungry!!!!
I added 1:31pm for the shuttle launch to our first day plans, I'm definitely going to look out for that. And I also added, which someone suggested to me here, was to go to POR on our DTD day and take the boat there to DTD! Sounds like a nice ride over.

So that was fun!! Tonight when the girls go to sleep I will laminate them.:goodvibes Yay for getting things done....It's almost time to go.
ONLY 23 MORE DAYS YIPPPEEEE

I can't wait to meet my dis friends

I am still waiting for my documents to arrive. Then I will get all my items together and in my carry on. I need to make an iron on patch for the stroller swap I am doing. Thanks for the advice about writing down fast pass locations. We have the tiny WDW dining book that tells us what the sell where...so we are going to bring that, too!

We haven't had capri weather here either. I think it was 50 and raining yesterday. They are saying high 60's by mid week, though!

Yeah, seeing how this is our first time there and we're not really sure of which rides have FP, a list would be good to look over before heading into the park, so we can make a plan to go over and grab one throughout the day!!! I'd hate to miss a FP opportunity!!!

I can TRY to help you witth the fp thing...now this is STRICTLY by memory, so if I miss one, I'm sorry!! LOL

MK
Thunder Mtn, Splash Mtn, Peter Pan, Winne The Pooh, Phillharmagic, Space....but will be closed, Stitch, Buzz Lightyear...I think that's most of them there....

Epcot
Mission Space, Test Track, Soarin, Honey I shrunk the Audience, Maelstrom, Living with the land, and I think that's most of them there too....

DHS
Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Toy Story, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, and I think Lights, motor action has them too. I don't like this park much, so I don't know if that's all of them or not!

AK
Expedition Everest, Kali river rapids, Dinosaur, and kilimanjaro Safari. I *think* its tough to be a bug has it too, not too sure about that one.

If I'm missing some, someone help me out!! But, that should start helping you plan a little better. The bigger ones, if you can do them, either do early, or get the FP. Peter pan and pooh, definedly get a fp for those. Isn't is nice judging in weeks now, not months????? I think I'm at 4 weeks today!! WOOHOO!!!

I just called DTD to check on the Boat Rentals because on here it says to call for reservations. We're going to be renting the pontoon boat, it's 21 ft long:scared1: We've never been on a boat of any sort so this will be fun! I'm telling anyone, not even Manny, it will be a surprise when we get down there, we'll just go over to Cap N Jacks Marina and get on a boat! I was looking at pics of the marina, it looks awesome!! So the pontoon rentals are $45 for 30 minutes and $90 for 60 minutes! I think we'll go with the 60, I don't think we'll have had enough time after 30 minutes!
Ok, so anyway, she told me that I did not need reservations, to just call the day of and make sure one is available:confused3 This makes me a little nervous, I really want to make sure we get one!
Has anyone ever rented one with a reservation, or do you just go get it when you're ready!!
I posted this question on the Disney for Families board too, I'll let ya know if I get an answer from there!

I'd be interested to find out too. I'm thinking of renting the sea raycers for Joe's b-day it is something we can do together. I've considered fishing, segways, etc. but all of those would have to be solo. I just remembered about the illuminations cruise too...mmm need to go check that out.

Looks like you had a good weekend! The girls look cute in their ball uniforms. :thumbsup2
