Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Three... C 32, P 39 - The End...Or Is It?

Citron Limeade? You've been holding out on me! ;) I may have to try that in December! I will tell them that TK sent me!

The book of signatures was turned to Samantha Brown when I was there.

I LOVE Brown Derby!!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

It's my favorite drink there. I don't remember the first time I had it, but suffice it to say it was a loooooooong time ago. I'm surprised it's still in the system!

Yeay! A great update! I love the theming of Pixar Place, too! Just awesome! I can't wait to ride TSM again! I hope you make it on there!

I call people while I am at Disney, too -- usually my mom. It's funny how the woman that made me love Disney is always uppermost in my mind when I am there. I hope my kids call me when they go to Disney as adults. Who am I kidding? I will be right there with them! :rotfl:

Another rave review of Brown Derby -- I so need to convince the family to go there. I want Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake.

Yes! I've often told DH I want us to be the cool grandparents who live in Florida, work in the parks, and get the grandkids in for free. We'll see...:rolleyes1

Have you thought about trying it on this upcoming trip?

That's my goal as well!

I keep looking at the menu and I just don't know if it would have enough choices to satisfy my picky family -- they are so not adventurous foodies -- we love food, but we are pretty boring when it comes to what we like to eat.

Well, it is fairly seasonal, and although they keep their staple signature items, they have been known to switch it up a bit. I would take a look again as it gets closer, and maybe you'll find something to appeal to the hungry masses. ;)

If not I may have to go the ZZUB route and get the cake from Starring Rolls.

For what it's worth, CP-- not to hijack your thread, TK-- Brown Derby seems like the kind of restaurant that would bend over backwards to make something that the kids would eat even if it wasn't on the menu. While I was dining solo and peoplewatching (aka eavesdropping!) I heard a couple of different families asking for something "special" or specific.

Good to know, thanks!

I looked at the kids' menus and there is stuff that both of mine would eat -- it's Charles that I need to work on, I think.

That's always a thought! :goodvibes

No, feel free to hijack. I find a lot of restaurants to be accomodating there, that the Brown Derby is doesn't surprise me. :thumbsup2

CP, is Charles a steak kind of guy? I know they have an excellent rib eye on the menu.

He is -- I was looking at the allears menu and it says it comes with mushrooms. You know how he feels about mushrooms. If I can convince him that he would be able to order it without the mushrooms, then we might have a winner.

I am going to second this. I almost ordered something I knew they had on the lunch menu and my server had no problem with that. The table next to us also made a lot of special requests while ordering and the server was very accommodating.

I am almost positive they'd do a custom order like that. Sounds like a simple fix.

See, LL thinks so, too. And to further illustrate how accomodating the Derby is, stay tuned for a future post in my pre-trip report.

Let's just say Mom and Nana "cooked" up a little surprise for me. :thumbsup2

Thanks, LL!

I can't wait to see what the surprise is going to be! popcorn::

I guess I'm not the only one in my family who likes surprises. And although I have been absolutely dying to spill the beans and tell Mom and Nana about their slippers, I haven't.

But they couldn't hold in this one treat. And so they let me in on it. :goodvibes

Oh my! That is quite a pricey meal! But it does indeed sound delicious, and therefore worth it.

I'm happy that they still had your drink for you. That sounds wonderful as well!

I am so glad that you guys got a date! That is fabulous! An expensive one...but you enjoyed it! It's all good, right! :)
