Yo ho, yo ho, a bounceback life for me LEAVING TOMORROW 9/12!!!!!!!!!!!

Your thank you cards are cute! Where'd you get the templates?

I was half asleep earlier; we check out on the 13th - Sunday. That's the day I have CM down for. (It's been a LONG week. Haha.)

Yay for the 13th!! :woohoo: I kept wondering how the heck I went all this time not realizing that we were not going to get there on time for an early breakfast.

I wish I could remember where I got the template. They are Word files. If you PM me your email address I can email the tempates to you in Word and you can just change them.

I just realized something. I have no clue what's wrong with me here but I don't get in on the 12th until 9:09 a.m. :sad1: We got better flights if we got there on the 12th and left on the 21st. So if everyone decides on an early breakfast we won't be able to make it. If we land on time we should be able to get to CM's by 10:30 at the latest. We will check in for our car the day before so we can get our luggage, get the car and head right over. Ugh, why didn't I realize that until just now?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Wait lover... i come in on the 12th... not the 11th and I believe heather wants to do breakfast on the 13th. Possibly a 930? or 10? is that good for everyone? or too late?

I spent several hours on Monday night updating and inserting information into my PassPorter. :woohoo: It's coming along well. I worked on my itinerary as well and Jenn and I spent sometime on Sunday figuring out our ADR's together and deciding on times. So, here goes:

So, any suggestions on dinner for our anniversary or any other comments/suggestions? I'd love to hear them.

How can you make such a detailed itenerary w/o knowing park hours?

I like your food choices that you have listed..

we're going to be trying 1900 Park Fare on our trip in September- Cant wait. and 50's Primetime is one of my favorites.. Love the Pot Roast.. yum!!

We have gone nearly every Sept since 2000 and the hours are relatively the same each year. I saved them all and looked (are you surprised?) The one that concerns me is the Fantasmic schedule. I may need to make an adjustment there and switch a day. Other than that, in looking back, especially over the last three years, Spectro and Wishes have been pretty consistent that week. So, I get as detailed as I can and then make changes once the schedules come out officially. ;)

We are also trying Park Fare for the first time this trip. Love 50's too. I usually get the meatloaf but this year I am telling myself that I MUST try something different!

:thumbsup2 Your plans look great so far. It's nice that you will be able to spend so much time with Jenn and her family! Could you describe the Zebra Domes? I have seen pictures but never a description of what they are made of. BTW, congrats on the 9 pound weight loss! I know exactly what you mean about shopping. I am also trying to loose some weight and I am so ready to shop for summer clothes but don't want to buy the wrong size!

Hellooo OhioDisneyLover! I've clawed my way up out of the abyss and into your pre trip report :lmao: . I haven't read all of it yet but I just wanted to pop in & offer a suggestion for your anniversary dinner:

I don't know what you have in mind as far as atmosphere but how about Flying Fish? The reviews on the DIS have been consistently excellent and the food sounds fantastic. I've never been there & it's doubtful that we'll make it there this time but Flying Fish and BlueZoo are at the top of my list of places to try & you've already been to BlueZoo.

10 years! I think that's the seafood anniversary, isn't it ;) ?

Mind you, we're planning to have our anniversary dinner on the dock at Abbotts Lobster in the Rough so I don't know if my idea will have much merit :rotfl: .

Anyway, off to read more of your PTR.

I'll save ODL the trouble (and the torture of going through the DIS recipe pages while trying to diet :) ). Here's the list of ingredients from the Zebra Dome recipe as posted in the DIS recipe forum:

Zebra Domes - Bomas

Ingredients:

1 pound milk chocolate
¼ cup espresso coffee
5 egg yolks
¼ cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
6 sheets gelatin
½ cup Kahlua Liqueur
4 cups heavy cream
¾ cup white chocolate ganache
¼ cup dark chocolate ganache
sponge cake (store-bought or your favorite recipe)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Just so you know, though, Boma doesn't use Kahlua but something called Amarula (Amarulu?) which is a South African liquer made from the amarula fruit. It tastes kind of like Bailey's Irish cream with a hint of citrus & can be purchased in the AKL's gift shop but I was able to find it at a couple of liquor stores back home. The stuff is soooo goood and nothing like Kahlua.

I haven't tried making my own Zebra Domes yet but I plan to do so for Easter ('cause they're egg shaped :) ). They're a sponge cake base, topped with mousse & covered with white chocolate (with the dark chocolate for stripes). Like a sinful, stripey truffle :rotfl: .

Hi Sophia,

Congrats on the 9lbs! it's always better to lose it slowly - it tends to stay off that way!

The plans are all coming together - I can't believe you're thinking of packing already, where has the time gone? :confused3

Grumpy says to be sure to remember the gorillapod ;)

I see that someone beat me to the recipe for zebra domes! That's awesome! I love them. Not sure if it is the texture or what but I swear I'd eat a dozen if I could!

Thanks for the congrats. I hope I can drop a few more before my trip. I hope that I can eventually reach my 50 pound goal but I know that this will take me some time!

Hi there and welcome!

Funny you said Flying Fish because that is where DH wants to go! We did go to Bluezoo two years ago. I loved it. DH just informed me that it wasn't one of his favorites. I'd go back there in a minute! I LOVED IT!!!!!

So glad you joined my PTR! Have fun planning your anniversary dinner. :)

Hi Di. It feels like it takes forever to drop these pounds. Took me 11 years to gain them (yes, since I met Joe...) so I guess I have to be patient, right?

Yes, I am thinking of my packing list already. :rolleyes1 Funny, isn't it??

I will definitely remember the gorillapod!!!

Hi!! Your plans look great! I love Park Fare too as well as Prime Time, where I can't pass up the pot roast. It's so good.

I think it's funny how you can predict the park hours, now that's a true Disney Vet! :lmao:

We are also trying Park Fare for the first time this trip. Love 50's too. I usually get the meatloaf but this year I am telling myself that I MUST try something different!

You should try to Pot roast.. It is the best!! You wont be sorry..

Hi:wave2:

So far I had to change my original plans just one year. My "predictions" have been pretty good...knock on wood. I'm just really worried about Fantasmic this year!

You should try to Pot roast.. It is the best!! You wont be sorry..

Hmm. I think I'm going to have to try the pot roast!

I hope I can drop a few more before my trip. I hope that I can eventually reach my 50 pound goal but I know that this will take me some time!
You and I are about the same vintage (I'm 43) so I feel your pain. One thing that I did that helped a lot was to start going for long walks well before our trip in order to build up my WDW walking tolerance. In what free time, I know, but maybe that can work for you? Once those pounds start to come off it helps to inspire you to keep going (I remember dimly...I need to start walking again).

Funny you said Flying Fish because that is where DH wants to go! We did go to Bluezoo two years ago. I loved it. DH just informed me that it wasn't one of his favorites. I'd go back there in a minute! I LOVED IT!!!!!
BlueZoo looks SO awesome but I don't think that it would work with a 5YO in tow  . Maybe I can persuade my crew to stop by for happy hour? But Flying Fish sounds divine. Maybe a bit loud but you can get a table that has a view right into the kitchen.

It feels like it takes forever to drop these pounds. Took me 11 years to gain them (yes, since I met Joe...) so I guess I have to be patient, right?
I had to laugh about this. My husband & I have been married for 15 years and he complains about how the waist size on his jeans have increased by an inch. ONE INCH! I've increased by an entire person  .

Like I said, I feel your pain :) .

I'm on cold meds, so maybe I missed it on your list, but what about Le Cellier for your anni dinner? We haven't tried it yet, but I've only heard wonderful things about it! And hey, if we go on Saturday night and it's bad, I can tell you on Sunday morning to cancel and pick somewhere else! But, I doubt that'll happen and I'll just tell you how wonderful it was, instead!

9:30am-10:00am works great! That'd give us time to take care of checking out if need be and head over there. Has anyone made ressies for a large party even if you've only got 4 on your hotel ressie? I don't think they should give me a hassle about it, hopefully not!

Oh oh oh!! Can you give me an idea about park hours from your past experience? I have, literally, 6 spreadsheets laid out for possible ADRs depending on park hours. I would love to hear your past experience to guide me a bit!!!
