BWV studio waitlist/split stay question

we’re fairly new members (2nd year) and we just hit our 7 month mark. We’re doing a quick 2 days during spring break before hopping to Universal to go to Epic for the first time. We wanted BWV or BCV because we wanted to do one day at EPCOT. On the first booking day I wasn’t able to get either and booked 2 nights at AKL and set up 2 waitlists. The next day, I was able to separately get one night in a BW view and one night in a P/G view at BWV. Neither had availability for both nights. I waitlisted the first night for BW view. I know no one knows the answer, but any guesses on how likely that will be to come through? My spouse doesn’t want to give up the BW view so haven’t jumped on the now-available second night in the P/G view. I’m just hesitant to move rooms for such a short stay knowing we’re already doing a split stay.

No one can tell you if your waitlist will come through. If it were me, I would have grabbed the P/G for such a short trip, how much time are you in the room? Of course I do it care for the noise of the Boardwalk so take my answer with a grain of salt!

There are far more P/G view than BW view villas, so statistically the P/G view WL is more likely to fill. But that doesn’t mean BW view is impossible!

There are 29 boardwalk view studios & 164 p/g views - thus your chances are much better w/ p/g.

My advice is to book what you can get and waitlist what you want. I've waitlisted things that some on this board would tell you were impossible and they came through. Yes, even concierge level rooms at AKL.

Who would have thought a 7 day beach club studio reservation in May would come though but it did for me this year.

There are 29 boardwalk view studios & 164 p/g views - thus your chances are much better w/ p/g.

Not to mention the amount of P/G views that are waitlisting BW view so you can luck out with the domino effect. No one in BW view is Waitlisting P/G view.

Reading you waitlisted the first night BW is great that you locked in BW currently night 2. The better of the two on final night.

I’d keep what you have and stick with the BW waitlist. It could definitely hit. Do search yourself meanwhile. Can often times catch it before a waitlist does. Room switching does give you two views and two clean rooms.
