Peek-a-boo, Diane!

I see you. :)

Are those smarty-jeans you have on????

LOL, OK! No mortar board though!!! It was cold enough enough for my fur scarf the day that picture was taken though! That was inside the garage.

totally cool
Enjoy it looks great.
You have your own personal wilderness lodge

Very neat, Daine. I see you have one of your bathrooms delivered also. :) Very neat pictures. Thanks.

LOL, Dan! The "bathroom" was part of the discussion on the riddle yesterday! I hope to decorate that bathroom for Christmas soon!:p

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I've been away from the DIS for a few days. :)

what type of log home are you planning on? Handcrafted, like ours, or manufactured? We did about 2 years of fact finding before we actually got started.

What I'd ultimately like is a handcrafted 1 1/2 story with a loft and basement. The tricky part is the location. We currently live in TX but are from ND and either want to build in ND or CO. I just love the mountains there. So that's the first thing we need to determine. Time will tell I guess. I'm having to learn a new word.......PATIENCE. ;) So for the meantime, I've living through you. ;) :D ;) Please keep us updated and keep the wonderful pics coming. Oh, and if you have any tips you'd like to pass along, I'm all ears!! :earsgirl:

I got this picture from the log home company in Canada of the burl logs they have installed in our house. Needless to say, I LOVED them! Imagestation has been spastic this morning, so this might not show up.

The log trucks carrying the house are to arrive on our site Dec. 2,3,5 and 10. The crew here is able to unload and set a truckload a day. They need a break between the last two to catch up. It is also very demanding physically, and they need to rest a little!

Phins_jazy, I could "write a book" about this process! Send me a PM or Email if you want some information. I decided to have a Canadian company do the structure for some very good reasons. We and our log contractor are MORE than pleased with this company. In factk, our contractor said he is going to use them exclusively from now on. I plan to "log" on again December 2 with pictures of the house being put up on our site. I hope we don't get too much snow by then!!
