YIKES! Possible child abductor in our area!

Just rec'd an e-mail from DS principal.....A male tried to lure a boy by getting out of his car and tossing him a baseball, and asking if he wanted to start a game! At another spot in town another male (possibly the same one, but 2 different vehicle descriptions)was driving by and waving at a boy, and the child felt it was suspicous, not a general wave as if the man knew the boy.
Keep your kids safe out there!

Very scary!

I sent my DS to a class last night put on by our church/school regarding keeping safe. They have a website, altho I haven't been to it yet:

They taught my DS how to get out of a grasp or what to do if they try to toss him in a car, or what to do if he's in the car! My DS & DH thought it was very informative.

My DD's elementary school is putting on this exact program in April. I heard very good things about it at the last PTO meeting. I am for sure attending this with my DD!

That's scary. Please everyone, make sure your kids know what to do in any possible abduction situation.

I understand how you feel as we have had a few similar situations in the last month or so around here. The person has tried asking kids for directions and asking if they would like to play w/ their puppy. Thankfully all of the kids were smart enough to turn and run the other way but it still makes me worry that some kid will not be so lucky. It also makes me scared for my nephews that somebody would try to approach them. I just don't understand how anybody could be so sick.
