Yikes! My Radisson Resort Ressie Got Nixed!

ReservationSystem.com is no longer doing business with Radisson Resort Parkway!

I had booked my reservation through their online system -- got a great rate of $58.87 back in March for a stay on October 11.

Then I got this email from them this morning:

"We are contacting you regarding your reservation at Radisson Resort Parkway. Unfortunately, we are no longer doing business with that hotel. We can recommend and help you find an alternate reservation. If you wish to stay at Radisson Resort Parkway, we will cancel your reservation, refund any monies paid and you can contact the hotel directly to make the reservation."

When I called ReservationSystem.com, they said they could not go into detail as to why they are not doing business with Radisson Resort Parkway except to say there were housekeeping issues that they disagreed on. Wonder what that means?

Anyway, I had ReservationsSystem cancel my ressie, refund my money and I rebooked Radisson through the Mousesavers link for $66.

By any chance, has anyone stayed there recently and experience any "housekeeping" problems?

I have not stayed there, so no comment on that front, but frankly I think they should bend over backwards to get you a reservation at a comparable hotel for the exact same rate. Obviously, there was availability at the Radisson at the time you made your reservations, and that they would not honor them for you is reprehensible, in my opinion. At the very least, call the hotel directly and discuss it with them--they may honor that rate for you as well. Please keep us updated!

I have a feeling that their description of housekeeping may refer to the relationship between the two entitites not the room cleanliness. The fact that they cancelled an exisiting reservation looks to me like the Radisson may have dumped them and not the other way around!

They sure waited to the last minute to let you know about it! I'm glad you managed to get a good rate this late.

I feel sure the "housekeeping" issue is like CarolA said - something between the two of them. Mary at Mousesaver's gives them a glowing review based on personal inspection. I seriously doubt if reservationsystem.com inspects the properties and stops doing business if there's a problem with actual housekeeping.

Check out Skyauction.com. They have a 1-br at Orange Lake Country Club that will cost you under $225 for the week with check-in on November 12th. Check Skyauction thread above and do a search on Orange Lake. Stayed there in May and it beats any Hotel. May even allow for arrival on the 11th.
