Anyone that has been to the world recently, is the Yeti working yet?

I was there on 8/9/10 and the Yeti had a continuous red light and strobe lights on it. I assumed it was B mode.

So I'm pretty sure that's the biggest disney epic fail I know of!

In the running with Murphy, the DL Fantasmic! Dragon.

But, likely the biggest failure (or at least as big) was DL's Rocket Rods attraction.

We were there 2 weeks ago and Disco Yeti is still boggieing the days away BUT there was a change, they moved the light behind her now so it gives more of an illision of movement, in both May and Feb it was in front of her. I can see how some mistake this new change for movement, it is visually more effective.

Ahhhh that explains it all... she works on HER SCHEDULE.... :rotfl2:

Disney has no plans of refurbing EE until the refurb of the safari is done. (that is, when they decide to begin..hehe) The foundation under the yeti is showing areas of stress which is the reason why it is in B mode. (strobe lights, etc). Until they can figure out how to properly fix the foundation that the yeti is sitting on, we are going to have to be used to our resident disco yeti. <--- love that :rotfl:

Understudy for the epic spot........Disneyland's Fantasmic dragon. It was the centerpiece of 2009's summer advertising campaign and the ...... head fell off during dress rehearsal. It was out of commission until the summer season was over.

OOPS.

LOL! Rocket Rods! Totally forgot about those! :thumbsup2
My RR story: Tried 'em out when they were very new; so-so ride, not fast at all. Fast forward a bit and my aunt and uncle are visiting and my aunt hadn't been on many rides at all because she can't handle the motion.
"Oh, you'll have nothing to worry about on this one! It's really tame!" I tell her.

Whoops.
They had REALLY sped those puppies up since the first time I'd been on them.
:rolleyes1
