We had tentative plans for a trip with extended family the first week of February. Due to a family member's work conflict we are postponing to either the last week of February or first week of March.

Any reason to chose one week over the other? Any events starting/ending at that time?

None of us have ever traveled to WDW at that time before.

We were there the first week of march in 2013 it was nice but really cold i don't think there will be much of a difference between late feb early march

I'd check crowd calenders at easywdw.com and touringplans.com. Our little event here in Louisiana (Fat Tuesday) has an effect on WDW crowds, February and March! Some of us like to get the "you know what" out of here during Mardi Gras. It falls on a different date every year, so check to see when Mardi Gras is for that year. If Mardi Gras falls alone, without President's Day, etc., the crowds are great! Both of the above sites take this into account for their predictions. Warning the weather can be down right cold for Florida. One year we were delayed on the tarmac at New Orleans International for three hours for de-icing, and the weather once we got to Florida matched!!
Normally we love that time of year, however I rarely can get off, as I'm in law enforcement, and it's usually all hands on deck for Mardi Gras!!!

I just googled Mardi Gras 2015 and it looks like it is February 17th. I am hoping that won't be a factor by the dates we are looking.

We know it may be chilly but we are just hoping for the best. It's the only time of the year we can all get off at the same time and get away.

We'll just make the best of it if it's chilly. We're from the NE, so we figure it can't be any worse than home at that time.

I took your advice and checked easywdw, he says it will clear out February 23and remain light through the first week of March.

We've gone the first week in March and it was hot but like other people said it can be cold. You could catch a spring training game(baseball) at WWS if you go in March also if that interest you. Also the later you go the better chances you have for it to be warm.
