Yet, another TSM question, sorry...

Sorry, but I need some advice for the new Toy Story Mania attraction.

Due to time constraints / dining reservations we have the following 2 times that we could go to Disney Hollywood Studios. Which do you think is our BEST option to ride TSM:

Sat. 25 - our flight arrives at 8:30 AM, so we are hoping to get to DHS by 10:30-11:00ish. We don't care if the FP are for the end of the day - we'd stay all day anyway. But do you think there would there be any left FPs left?? We don't like to wait 60+ minutes for an attraction, so I know standby won't be an option for my group. Also, there is EMH that morning, so that could make the FPs go even faster. But the crowd rating is only a 4, so hopefully that will help.

OR

Mon. 27 - We could go on Monday morning. We are going to AK for its morning EMH and would likely head over to DHS around 1:00ish. There is NO EMH that day (and there is an evening EMH the night before). But the crowd rating is a 6 on this day.

So, what do you think is the better plan? Thanks!

Hmm I would try saturday. Is there any day that you can go to DHS first thing in the morning?

Hey. Late last month, we arrived at MGM on 2 diff days at around 10:45 & went straight to TSM & picked up FP's. They were for the 4:30-5:30 range both times. Friends were there in early Sept & said they rode 1st thing at rope drop, then picked up FPs after they got off. Their times were in the 6PM range.

I would say go on the 11AM day if I were you. It is a cool ride if you have a FP. Not worth the 60 minute wait we had on our 1st day IMO.

We can't really go first thing in the morning...

Sunday - MK all day

Monday - AK - we like to do the safari first thing plus it closes earliest

Definitely not waiting in the standby line - unless it's under 30 minutes or something.

It looks like your only option is to shoot for Saturday when you get in. Are you renting a car or taking ME? If you're taking ME you are at the mercy of how quickly they load up and in what order they get to your resort so by the time all that happens you could be closer to lunch time getting to DHS. Regardless there's a posiibility there may still be fast passes left for later that night. I'd probably be tired by then if I had flown that day and come in on an ealry morning flight but if it's the only way you can do it I would try for that day.
