I would like to avoid bell services altogether if I had the option, simply because I don't want to have to be without our luggage for hours, and I don't want my mom stuck in the room having to wait for luggage to be delivered. I have these images of myself rolling my luggage down the Boardwalk, but I am guessing they frown on that.
I can't see why they would mind you rolling your bags over.
Having Bell transfer from Boardwalk it means you will not get those bags until after official checkIN time at Yacht.
If you take it over and leave bags with Bell Services at Yacht, Yacht has them, and if needed you could get the bag. Mom might want to have her important stuff for the day in one easily identifiable bag so she could get it if needed.
we might not be able to check into Boardwalk until we have physically checked out of Yacht Club.
The issue shows up in, at minimum, using the magicbands for the doors. If you were just going to stay in the room at BW until checkout time, this wouldn't be an issue. If you are going to Stormalong between, that'll likely go longer than 11am checkout time, so you might not have issues with that at all. So you could either wait it out until the official checkOUT time is gone, or you could just check out and go off to Stormalong, and know that by the time you're heading to AK it will all be OK anyway.
I don't want to leave for AK until we have a room at Boardwalk (all reservations under my name, but my mom will be staying at the resorts all day and I don't want her to have to deal with luggage, etc.)
You aren't guaranteed a room until 4, so that could be a very short day at AK if it's the absolute thing you're waiting for.
Whether you're leaving bags in the car or moving bags (by car or rolling) to Yacht and leaving them with Bell, I would recommend that mom have ONE bag that she checks over at Yacht, so if she suddenly needs something from her stuff, she can go to them and get the bag back (then have them take it again in a second process). What you don't want to do is have that bag of hers going between BW and Yacht, because then it's not accessible.
the other option is leaving all bags at BW and then when you're ready for Yacht THEN getting them (by car or rolling them over). We've changed from OKW to elsewhere, etc, and we'll either take them over to resort 2 and leave them then go on with our day, OR we'll leave them at resort 1, go about our day, then go back to 1 and get them and move to 2.
That makes sense. I just think of the luggage guys as the luggage guys, but you are right. It is two different groups. Thanks for the clarification.
