I know this has been asked before but I cant get the search to work.......

We are toying with the idea of pool hopping over to the Poly for our upcoming vacation.......

My question is......... Where does one change clothes????

AND...... what other pools are cool to pool hop too........ we will have little kids with us, so we like the zero entry at Poly.... I know AKL is off limits...... how are the pools at Dixie Landings (old school name) and CBR......

And what;s the Contempoary's pool like?

Thanks bunches!

You can pool hop to any pool except AKL and Storm along Bay (unless you are a guest at BCV at which point you are not hopping) with space available.
The Contemp's pool is pretty plain. Nothing fancy.

It all depends when you go to the Contemp. They added a small slide which was nice. When we went, they had a DJ with a hula-hoop contest. The CBR and CS are very nice. We played volleyball for about two hours at both Contemp. and the CS a couple of times, it was a blast. The CBR at night is nice with the calypso band coming by occasionally. We haven't tried Poly since they upgraded it. Have fun.

The pool at the contemporary does have a slide, and you can't beat the view of Bay Lake.

With little kids, the Coronado may be worth a visit. They have a fun kiddie pool with two large fish that spout water. The main pool has a lot of unique features, and they have a 22 person jacuzzi.

The GF added a slide and water-spray playground when they built the new pool complex.

As far as where you would change, my guess would be the restrooms.

Don't forget the original Port Orleans (now French Quarter). They have a pool with a small water slide that is themed like a dragon that is just great for little kids. It's also a smaller pool overall and easier to keep track of the little ones. You can change in the bathrooms in the lobby too if going in "costume" doesn't work.

Laura,

We pool hopped to the Polynesian pool this summer. We came over from MK...stashed our swim stuff in a locker there until we were ready to PH. We changed in the lobby restrooms, but when we went out to the pool we noticed some rest rooms out there...I guess we could have changed there as well.

Grand Floridian also has a new pool....zero entry as well. No fancy slides that I recall seeing, and another great view from that pool.

Wilderness Lodge pool is nice...small slide and the pool is "formed" from a flowing creek that comes down from the lobby of WL into the pool. Great theming, and there is a kiddie pool there as well. It is not zero entry. But there is a small beach nearby on which my kids have enjoyed playing in the sand.

MELSMICE....there never has been pool hopping at AKL.

The standard line used was to protect the animal environment...they don't want the extra people, noise, and traffic.

Something about wanting to minimize the traffic for the resort due to the animals was the stated reason if I recall correctly.

We have pool hopped to the Poly a couple of times with our 2yr old ds. They have a great zero entry pool and he loves the kids jumping fountain! We just changed in the bathrooms right at the pool - they have showers there like at OKW so there is plenty of room to change into your bathing suits.

We've also hopped to the new pool at the GF - they have bathrooms with shower's at the pool as well and the pool there is also zero entry with a kids jumping fountain too.

As far as the Dixie Landings pool goes, we used to stay there before becoming DVC members -- the main pool is themed very nice and has a slide and there's also a kiddie pool. No zero entry though. If your kids are really young (under 4) you may enjoy the pools like the one at the poly with the jumping fountains better. Hope this was of some help. Enjoy!!
