Yet another DME question...

Hi! (the following assumes current rules are in effect in January 2008)

We are planning on arriving on a Saturday and staying at one of the Value resorts. We want to use DME to get to the resort. On Sunday, we will be checking into OKW and staying until Friday. My question is: Do I need to set up the ME as 2 1-way trips? The arrival night will be booked through Disney (CRO or WDTC, not sure which yet) and the remaining 5 nights will be rented from a DVC member who will have to arrange at least the outbound ME transportation, correct?

My current assumption is that I will have to request an arrival-only ME ride to the resort when I book the one night with Disney and then have the DVC member book a departure-only ME ride from OKW when they make my ressie. Does this sound correct?

Yes I would book the 2 separate one ways.Then you will be in Mes system and you can make the changes yourself then.

Don't bother with DME with either reservation. Call the Magical Express toll-free number yourself (number available in probably ANY of the Magical Express 'sticky' threads at the top of this forum) and make the entire reservation yourself. No intermediary, no questions, no chance of misunderstanding.

I vote for -- Make the usual round trip reservation. Then, as soon as possible after moving to OKW (to give enough time to contact the DVC member from whom you rented the points and even that contact might not be mandatory) modify the homebound ME reservation as needed.

I arrived at BCV via DME and left POR via DME, and Member Services handled both trips for me, even though we weren't staying DVC at the end of our trip.
