I was at Disneyland yesterday (Sunday June 1st) and there were a huge number of ladies (and a few men) dressed in 1940's or 50's outfits. Was there a special theme day going on??????

I also noticed this, and many had lots of tattoos as well. Similar to a Goth-type day I think.

1940's/1950's dress makes me think of Dapper Days. I don't think there was an official Dapper Days event going on yesterday, but it's possible that there was a Dapper Days-type meet up going on.

We've noticed the last several times we been, that there are quite a few who are dressing up in vintage type clothing---even when it is not an official Dapper Day---we just notice random people choosing to dress up.

We think it's fun to spot those who do this---it's kind of nice to see!:)

Were they dressed like pin-up girls? I wandered into a massive photo op at the castle 2 years ago. So much red lipstick. I'm going to guess it was organized on meetup or some online forum.

I saw them too. Hardly a day goes by without some sort of theme that I see. It's really become prevalent. I generally notice it, then don't give it a second thought the rest of the day.

Pinup Girl Clothing hosted a meet up yesterday , "Pinup Parade in the Park" to coincide with their release of their Fairytale line of dresses and skirts. This group also met up in 2012.

Pinup Girl Clothing design and manufacture vintage inspired clothing and have a large followingPinupGirlClothing.com

I believe the event was mentioned in the DIS podcast too.

If you're on Instagram search #pinupparade and you will see a lot of cute fashion :-)

Hey, I was part of that group and wear red lipstick! LOL

I just checked out the website, so cute! I would love to dress like that, but taking two kids aged 3 and 6 to the park, I need to wear something easier. I do love seeing people dressed like that though!

You could and should!

I have a very wild 4 year old and I find dresses to be more comfy than most jeans. It is fun and it is great excuse to dress up the kiddos too :-)
