I can't believe I did it! After reading about ebay in this boards I decided that I could give ebay a try and I took the risk...I started with only few items just in case it did not go well. GUESS WHAT!!! I sold 2 items and I can't believe how easy it was! now my question is : When you sell and item ; will you give the buyer an extra something ? example : I sold a pair of pokemon boots and I am thinking of putting an extra pair of brand new trading cards that my kids do not want I also have a pokemon tshirt that I was also going to include in the package. Is that ok? Iam way too excited about this but also confused It is my first time with ebay....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I would love to start because I have some great things to sell but how do you figure postage? Since you are a beginner I was wondering if you invested in a postage scale or what you use to detemine that.
thanks and Congrats

well to tell you the truth I went to a 99c store and bought a little scale that they have also I got some supplies from the same store and as a bonus the owner gave me different size of boxes for free. The S/H is my weak point , but ebay have a S/H link to calculate the amout I did not use it . and I think I went a little low on the s/h.

I have bought a few things on eBay where the seller enclosed something extra. It always makes me feel terrific and I leave wonderful feedback for the seller. Sometimes it is something they got free or very cheap, but it's the thought that counts.

Another time, a seller had listed two shirts from the same beach location. I bought one and the other got no bids. He emailed me and said he was going to throw in the other one for free. It's certainly a good way to make people happy.

On the other hand, if the extra things you have are of any real value, I'd just list them and sell them.

I think just starting out it would be wise to throw something in if it is easy and doesn't really cost you anything- it will help you begin to build that much needed feedback profile. They will be much more likely to bother to leave feedback if they are extra satified.

when I purchase off ebay (which I do a lot). I've gotten everything from mini candles, to flower seeds, to a little mickey scrapbook punch out. Its very nice to see a little something extra, that you weren't expecting. I leave feedback for most everyone I purchase from (except for a few I probably should have left negative or nuetral for, but they weren't quite bad enough to warrant tarnishing their record), but I am sure to leave glowing feedback for a seller who goes the extra mile. I sold one thing to a new buyer on ebay, and they didn't leave feedback at all...............
