Saturday-November 24--MGM
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites
Deby-34
Doug-34
Dylan-9
Ryan-7
Allie-5
Sami-3

Today our goal is to finish up MGM and do everything we missed so far. We didn't get out as quick as I would have liked but we were in the park by 10:15. We head over to the playhouse disney show since one starts at 10:30. While on line, doug goes to get fast passes for Little Mermaid, the fast passes are for 10:55-11:05--The new playhouse disney show is cute, Sami is also a big Bear fan so I am glad he is still in it alot. Dylan said playhouse disney is for babies--oh well to be 9. We head to the little mermaid next and have good seats second row right in the middle. We went to the millionaire show next, the show was starting in about 15 minutes so good timing for us again. Again, not one of us makes it to the top ten, I thought the host of it today was very good and funny. We go to get fast passes for the tower of terror and Rock and Roll roller coaster. The rock and roll coaster is the only thing Dylan wants to do.
We wander around and get something to eat. I want to find a good spot for the parade so we scout out a bench by the star tours ride which is where the parade starts. I plant myself down and doug goes to the great movie ride with everyone but Ryan. He wants to stay with me. We play tic-tac-toe and hangman to pass the time. Everyone else comes back and soon the parade starts, We taped this parade, and we like this one too. Although it does move alittle quickly. I like that they have the monsters Inc. characters in it already.
After the parade we head to the muppets 3D show since Ryan wanted this one again.
Doug and Allie got a turkey leg--they both enjoy them--I think it tastes like ham.
After the fast passes are used, We head to the Great movie ride again, the line isn't bad so we ride.
Its dark when we come out, so we head to the Osbourne lights, I wanted to see them again since I couldn't wear the glasses they give you last time because of my migraine. Alittle more crowded walking through then it was the other night but still enjoyable. I noticed alot more detail then I did the first time.
After this its after 7, the park is closing. We do alittle shopping in the candy store and head out.
Overall we did everything we wanted to today but we did miss the Beauty and the Beast show. We had hoped to catch it today. There really wasn't any other show we wanted to see this trip.
Ryan and Allie started collecting pins today--they can be expensive starting at 6.50, i saw one for 18.00 By the time we got home ryan had 7 pins and Allie had 6. They can get some more on the next trip
The park was still crowded but not as bad as the other day, you can see people must be returning home after thanksgiving break.:)

Did Dylan like the characters? Was he excited about being at Disney world? My son will be 9 when we go. I'm wondering what Dylan liked the best. I really hate it when kids get to that "It's too babyish stage"! He's already said he won't ride Dumbo!!

Sounds like a fun day! Thanks for posting. :)

Pnelson--
Dylan of course went on everything we went on, I don't remember too much complaining--except for his comment at the Playhouse Disney show and he also said the barnstormer was a baby rollercoaster not for him. He was most excited to ride the bigger rides--Space mountain, splash mountain, thundermountain railroad, tower of terror and his favorite was the rock and roll rollercoaster. He kept talking about it and how it was so cool. We never got around to the dumbo ride this trip but he would have went on--he did complain about having to ride with his younger sisters(like not being able to control the carpet on the aladdin ride, or having to do all the spinning on the teacups) I just chalk his moods up to being '9'. He is between wanting to see the characters for a autograph but trying to be cool about it ;)
I am sure if we let him choose he would have had us on the bigger rides the whole time! haha!
Because he is 9, he is able to sit by himself on the rides and this is what he did--in fact he told me not to get in with him at the haunted mansion ride so i guess it starts already not wanting to be seen with you family. He would just tell the ride operator 1. Of course he was right in front on us, he's not getting out of my eyesight yet ;)

I am sure your son will enjoy his trip too!

Collecting pins can get very expensive but they are less expensive than many other souvenirs. Sounds like you had another wonderful day at MGM, thanks for telling us about it.
