Stayed at the Dolphin in adjoining rooms on the 10th floor in the East wing 6/28 through 7/1. Rooms were nice, but could have been a little cleaner, By that I mean, dust/dirt in corners of carpet and ceiling. However, that was not our main concern. The problem was the very musty smell as soon as we entered our rooms. Our friends stayed on the 4th floor in the West wing and had the same problem. The corridors and the elevators did not smell musty, so I am assuming the issue is with the very damp and clammy air coming from the air conditioning units. I say this because our bathing suits did not dry, even after hanging for two days. It's too bad because the hotel, grounds, pool, and location are perfect, and with the teacher discount it is very affordable, but I may not return. Does anyone have any information/experiences regarding this issue? Is the management aware of this?

We were there in April on the 7th floor and the hall smelled like paint but there wasnt any smell to our room.

Our prob was we were in a handicapped room because we wanted a king bed and we were basically right on the roof and the noise was horrible. We complained every day but there wasnt another room they could move us to so we stuck it out

We had a musty room once and I complained right away since our one ds has asthma, but I think it was the Swan. They asked if I wanted housekeeping to come and spray the room. I said no way, he has asthma and we need another room. I have a nose like a hound dog dh says!!! So they gave us another room, not good. By the 3rd room we had a free balcony upgrade. We have stayed at both hotels and I havent had any problems lately though. Just did the Dolphin last dec. and the Swan this May. If you are not happy ask for another room, we always get to view and pick another one. That would probably be as long as there is not a convention and it is not super crowded.
