Yes program - 2 kids, 2 parents?

I read the rules that it is only 1 parent per child but what if both my kids are in the class? Can both of us go or do they want just one parent? I tried doing it online but it blocks me. Would I have to check out twice - once for each child/parent combo or is that frowned upon? That isn't much fun for the other parent to just sit around for 3 hours .....

Kids will be 10 and 13 if that matters.

Edit to add another question. Am I correct in assuming the 4 day premium tickets is 4 days and the parks AND 4 sepearate days at the water parks?

Thanks

If I had 3 hours alone I'd go to the pool and relax or take a ride around all the monorail resorts and leisurely window shop or walk around DTD.:thumbsup2

Others have said that you would need to book each fo the kids seperately.

I am taking my 2 boys without my DH. He looks at as a morning to sleep in and relax. I would say if it isn't absoultely necessary for the other parent to come along then I would only do 1 parent for the class (the other one can still get the discounted tickets though :) )

Yes, that's the package we have & pretty much how we intend to use it!

If you do a "major park" day and a "water park" day on the SAME day, it would consume 1 day of each. But, you don't have to do it that way & if you're interested in full days at the water parks, your best bang for the buck would be to stretch those 4-day premiums as far as you can! You cannot "hop" from waterpark to waterpark on your WP days though. Not that I would care to.

Yep those visits are separate from the other tickets. How cool is that? That's one reason we LOVE the y.e.s. program. We had 5 hopper passes PLUS 5 visits to TL, BB and DQ. Mostly, we went to DQ. Could have had a 10-day vacation w/ less than $500 tops for our tickets.

Does anyone know if we can add the dining plan onto our YES hoppers?

BTW~this year, we're doing two days WDW, then 2 days BG-Tampa (because we get half off tickets AND tickets are BOGO day!), then three more days at WDW.

We're staing at PC w/ AAA rate but only got about a 5% discount off of our room only stay....

The dining plan is part of a package deal, so you would have to buy additional tickets for the minimum length. I've heard of people doing this, and then using those package tickets for a different trip since they are unused and won't expire.

The exceptions are if you own DVC or have an AP.

Thanks for your replies. What a clever idea - using package tickets at a later date---I never knew those wouldn't expire. :confused3 Now I am hoping we get a code for a great package deal.

It's not that they don't expire (non-expiration tickets), but that they expire 14 days after first use. If you don't use them this trip then you don't start the clock for the expiration

Thanks for the replies. I have decided on just my younger daughter and I doing the tour.

Can't figure out why I am nervous about making the purchase - I think the non refundable part is making me afraid to pull the trigger!

When we did YES I took 2 older to the class and dh collected FPs while spending time with our youngest! Then we met up for lunch afterwards before hitting the rides!

Does anyone know if the class isnt really full is there any chance theyd let more than 1 parent go? Me and DH really want to both go, we have 2 kids but DD is only 2 so she doesnt qualify for any of the classes. If not I guess one of us will be sleeping in lol.

No, because what if everyone wanted both parents to go? I'd do the sleeping in and pool route.

Non-expiring tickets do not expire. We've used a couple days and saved the rest for another trip. Regular expiring tickets (Magic Your Way) expire after you start using them, but not until. So you can save them until you need them. You don't need to specifically buy non-expiring tickets, unless you want them, of course.

I called the YES program when we were making plans. Each adult count as a participant in the program. There is a class limit. So they limit it to one parent to save room for other children, since the classes are really for children.

There are plenty of tours that are just for adults. Maybe your husband can snag one of those while you are doing the YES class.
Have fun!

I did not realize the YES water park plus tix were the number of days for both the parks plus the h20 parks. So that means if i am going to be there for 10 days I really only need like 6 day tix, right? That would have saved me a little more $$. Is that really how that works? that just made a great deal evn better!

Yes! That is correct. With a 6 day Premium you have 6 theme park days and 5 WP/DQ. Depending on your plans you could buy the 5 day Premium for a total of 10 days...5 theme park and 5 WP/DQ. This info comes from the YES ticket package page.

You really can't do that anymore, now that they require you to use your Fast Passes during the window of time listed on them. You can't use them late anymore.
