I hope you all can help..just lost the post I was trying to send, so if you see some thing like this, sorry.
Any way, I am taking a group of teen/college kids May22-June4, and want to help them get the most fun for their $. Some have a lot of money, some have saved to go. I got us a condo at Cypress Point, so the hotel is free for them, and we will do some cooking... ;)
I am looking for cheap/free/fun stuff to do. Picnic areas? Group discounts at WDW mini golf? DTD walks? Boat rides? Deep discounts to shows?
There is between 7 and 14 of us going, some will be there all the time, some only a few days. It will be a rotating group. I am NOT crazy! ? ! 3 to 5 of us will have PAP so we will have a different PAP holder in any car going to a park.
I quess I could get some info on different web sites, but DISers are a much better souce of info :goodvibes.
Thanks for any and all help! I have a few of the kids on the way over this afternoon, to start talking about what to do/see/go. Also do any of you think it would be a good idea to get medical release forms for the under 16 kids going?
Really, I am not cracy... :rotfl:

If you get an Entertainment book, there is usually a coupon in there for the Boggy Creek airboat rides. We went last year and had a blast. The coupon for last year was a buy one, get one free, up to 4 people. There were two coupons in the book, so you could take 8 total.

There are also lots of coupons for restaurants and pizza places in there. If you go to the site, I believe that you can get it for 1/2 off now. There are also coupons for attractions.

We really liked going to Old Town for the car show on Friday or Saturday night. There is no admission, and lots of stores to look at, as well as the car parade. There are rides and games there for a cost, but sometimes there are coupons for that as well.

If you want a short drive, you could always take them to the beach over on the Atlantic side. It is about an hour drive, and would not cost much except gas if you took lunch with you.

Sounds like a lot of organization on your part, especially with kids coming and going. I would make sure that I had a medical release letter for all kids (even those over 16) because you never know what will happen, and if the person is incapacitated, you will need to have permission to sign the forms to get them treatment.

I would also work on some kind of menu plan. It doesn't have to be detailed, but I would have an idea of what the kids like and meals that will feed a lot with little preparation. Maybe take a slow cooker for sloppy joes, or a roast or chili or soup, that will be done when you are back from the parks and hungry.

Have a lot of fun, keep your sense of humor and you will be fine!

Hi

You mentioned Mini Golf and that there are guests with AP's. You can play Mini Golf at Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summer land for 50% off for the passholder and up to 3 guests! :teeth:

You aren't the only "nut" doing this. We are sponsoring our senior class trip to WDW May 21 - 26 and are taking 18 high school seniors. They have all raised money to go and each person's cost is around $700 for everything, flight included. We did book the park tickets through the Disney Youth Group program. We purchased the Premear Park Hopper tickets for 4 days and it was over $100 cheaper per ticket by doing this (4 day park hopper, 1 day water park and a free t-shirt). The only catch is that the students have to attend a class while they are there. There are several classes to choose from and our students chose the Improv theatre class at Epcot. They don't mind taking the class, because after working hard for their money, they know how hard an extra $100 is to earn. They also purchased - 2 counter service meal coupons per day. The coupons cost $10 each and I know that when we get there, each student will have 2 meals per day paid for and I won't worry about some of them not having meal money. We signed up for the Magic Express pickup and that has saved enough money in airport transfers that they are able to purchase Pleasure Island Tickets for them.

:jumping1:

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to do it but I think you must be some kind of special person. It sounds like you'll have as much fun as they do. CHeck with someone on the boards who has the entertainment book - they may be able to tell you about some good deals. Have a wonderful time!

An angel for sure. It takes a special person to be able to bond with young people today. Good luck, sounds like you're going to have a wonderful time! :wave2:

You all are the best! I had a small meeting with the oldest DS and his best friend. Some of the kids have dropped out, but we might have added the next door neigh, her 2, and her sis's family... now I need another 3 bedroom!
Since the best friend has an allergey to carbs( almost killed him !) we will be doing a lot of veggies/cooking.
Mini golf is a def. go! As is Disney Quest. A day or 2 by the pool, and the beach sounds very good. I am also going to have them bring a few DVD's, cards, and maybe a game or 2. Risk, and Scrabbles, and pick up sticks, which they moan about but usually play! :rotfl: Kids are strange sometimes! :rotfl2:
Since some of them are over 18 and a few under 16 we are diff. going to get letters or med. releases! And my DH won't be there all the time... only a few days. Thank goodness there is also a washer and a dryer! Wonder how a "Chore Chart" will go over.... pirate:
