My fiance knew there was a show coming to our area that I REALLY wanted tickets to, but we could not really afford them. He found some on ebay that were more affordable and bid on them. We won the auction  But wait, now the seller is saying that there was supposed to be a reserve put on them that wasn't and they don't want to honor our bid anymore. Do we have any recourse, or can people really do this? I mean, the auction was up for a week I think. I don't know how they didn't realize it was listed wrong :confused3 Help!

PS- If you are a DIS member, seller, I'm not mad, I just got really excited that we won because I've been looking forward to seeing this show. I'm just really disappointed.

By putting them on sale on Ebay, they have entered into a contract with you as the buyer. Legally, they have to sell them to you. But they can drag their feet until after the concert if they want to be jerks.

It's people like this that give Ebay a black eye. You might try contacting Ebay's Security & Resolution page on their website regarding the seller refusing to sell.

Technically the seller is supposed to honor the sale. File a complaint against the seller with Ebay. See if they can get this person to shake loose with the tickets. I'd be extra careful though...make sure if you decide to pay, that insurance is included. You don't want the tickets to just "disappear".

Got to comment...what a CUTE puppy!!! :cloud9:

Thank you! I figured I would ask here first before contacting ebay just to be sure that it was a legitimate concern. This seller has a high approval rating too so I don't know what happened. I am nervous about paying for the tickets, though. It seems annoying to have to pay more for insurance just because someone is being untrustworthy.

PS Thanks for loving my puppy ;)

I would require insurance and also delivery confirmation. It won't cost you but a few dollars more and would be totally worth it. They should be obligated to sell you the tickets.

Pay through Paypal too!

I was just going to say the same thing!!!!! We had an ebay issue(the guy never sent the item) and paypal refunded all but $25 of our money!!(the $25 was in the fine print so that wasn't a problem)

Thanks everyone! My fiance filed his complaint. I'll let you know what happens.

Hi! I just wanted to post an update.

It's been almost a week and we still haven't heard anything back from the complaint we filed with Ebay. Does anyone know how long this process usually takes or what our next step should be if we don't hear back within that time frame? Thanks!!
