Yep, we're actually went w/out the kids!

ok your tooth OUCH!! I had a root canal done and it was not fun.

the rude man i would have had a problem. I hate people complaining and making everyone think it is there problem. he would of heard from me.

No, root canals are not fun and I had to have 2 in 3 days!
My jaw is still alittle sore!:sad2:

There are some people that are never happy.:confused3

Thanks for reading!

Day 4:

We were so excited for today! I love Epcot and was looking forward to showing my DH the park! We arrived shortly after rope drop and headed straight for Soarin! But first, grabbed some fastpasses for later. I knew my DH would love this ride as he lived in CA for almost 10 years when he was younger. He was very impressed with Soarin. We shared a chocolate croissant and a drink before our run/walk over to Test Track. My DH loves cars and loves American cars or I should say wants to love American cars. So, I was excited for him to check out this attraction too. Btw, I didn’t share any information about the rides as I wanted him to enjoy it as a surprise the first time! Hehe, I wanted him to be a ride virgin! :rotfl: He loved this ride and wanted to do it again! Next, we crossed back over to the other side to use our Soarin Fastpasses. We had plenty of time before they expired so we did the new Nemo ride and checked out the aquarium. Very cute! We headed out of there quick as some kids were screaming on one side of the room and the parents were screaming back at them from the other side of the room. I was getting a headache! So, up next was Soarin again! After Soarin we walked back to the other side again and did Ellen’s Energy ride. On the way back over, we had a small detour at the Coke Station for a drink. I didn’t tell my DH about Beverly! Hehe He took a big drink and looked like he was going to hurl! hehe After Ellen’s Energy ride, it was lunch time! We went to Tangierine Café in Morocco. It was the best counter service we have had! We both ordered the Chicken and Lamb platters and baklava for dessert. It was delightful! After lunch we headed back to Innovations West to get our free picture with the Disney Visa card promo! It was pretty cool! We had our photos taken with Minnie and Goofy alone! Alone, I mean, everyone that has a Disney Visa waits in line, you have to show your card, then when it’s your turn, you go into this room and the CM’s shut the door. You get alone time with the characters! You can play, dance and it is not rushed at all! Very cool! The reason we went to Future World then back to World Showcase was because the times of this Character meet are from 1pm to 4pm ish. So, we wanted to make sure we did this right away as we may lose track of time later.

We then went back to explore Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada, We were working our way toward Canada, which is where we were having dinner at Le Cellier! We were taking our time and enjoying being able to explore, shop and play around at our leisure. We even watched all the movies! No kids to get bored!

Here's some pic's of us playing:

Well, okay, theres alot of pictures of us playing around! I couldn't decide which ones to post, so I'll post them all! :rolleyes1

WDW165-p.jpg

It was 5:15 after we explored Canada and we had a 5:30 ADR for dinner so we went directly to Le Cellier! I was excited for my DH to eat here, it would be his first time and this was my favorite table service! Sorry I forgot to take pictures! However, I do remember what we ordered. We both ordered the Canadian Cheese soup, DH ordered the Mushroom Filet and I ordered the 7 oz Filet. We both ordered the Crème Brulee Sampler for dessert. It was a fabulous dinner! The restaurant was absolutely packed! We had a large party next to us that was very loud. It’s such a popular restaurant but I wish they would remove some tables to reduce the noise and leave some more “elbow” room! After dinner, it was raining so on went the ponchos again. We started to head back to Future World as we wanted to park hop to MK. We ducked into West Innovations Building and played around to get out of the rain. We did the Segway introduction ride and explored a little bit.

Here's us on the segways:
WDW156-p.jpg

WDW151-p.jpg

It was nice to have the time to investigate this building. For some reason, I’ve never taken the time to enter this building. So then we headed out and jumped on the monorail for MK. We wanted to watch Spectromagic. We walked around a bit and we were really tired so we grabbed a bench in Frontierland and sat. We sat and people watched, chatted, and chatted with a family next to us. We sat and chatted for and hour and half. It was a great break and it didn’t seem like we waited that long! We were also watching for other Dis’ers! We didn’t see any though. I love this parade and was looking forward to it. The beginning is my favorite part! Just as the parade was starting, this women who had been sitting on the ground to the left of us, gets up walks to the front and stands to watch! She was completely blocking a little girl! We all asked her to sit down and she shook her head and said she doesn’t speak English! That woman stood there during the whole show! Unbelievable! It never ceases to amaze me how rude some people can be. What is it about WDW that makes people behave that way? I felt bad for that little girl and offered her a spot on our bench. So anyway, with all this going on, I missed my favorite part! I like the white monkey looking guys in the beginning!

Oh, well. When the parade was over, we high tailed it over to Pirates! Pirates was closed last year when we came so my DH has never ridden it before. We walked right on! I don’t remember riding it at night before, it had a different edge about it! It was time for WISHES! My favorite! This makes me all teary eyed every time! We headed to Main Street! So, yep, all teary eyed again! I decided I need to get this soundtrack before we went home. There’s something about Wishes that makes me turn into a little girl. The little girl who wished for a normal family with a mom and a dad, a normal house, normal clothes and toys like everyone else. I remember watching Disney on TV and learned about wishing. So I would wish and wish with all my might. It just brings back that little something that makes you believe wishes do come true. Now, of course, I realize normal is overrated! But as an adult, its easy to forget that wishes still do come true! Okay, enough sappiness! So, Wishes over, we headed with the masses to the bus stop. Exhausted but looking forward to another Epcot and MK day!

wow! you got a lot done on that day. sounds like you had a great time.

:thumbsup2

Great update!:thumbsup2 It looked like so much fun in Epcot.:goodvibes I can't wait to explore it in January on my adult only trip.:woohoo:

Day 5:

Today was going to be backwards from the day before, we were going to MK first then ending at Epcot! We did this because we wanted to see the Spectromagic Parade last night :goodvibes So, off to MK this morning! We headed for fastpasses at Space Mountain first then went to Fantasyland. I have this thing, I have to do Peter Pan’s Flight first! I’m not sure why, I just have to! So, even without our kids, we did Peter Pan, Snow White and Mickey’s Philharmagic. We were sad the Haunted Mansion was closed. This is one of our favorites! We walked around exploring the trail to the left side of the castle heading back to Tomorrowland.
We took some fun pics:
WDW167-p.jpg

WDW168-p.jpg

We were deciding whether to head over to Epcot early and eat our counterservice lunch in Mexico or stay here and eat at Cosmic Ray’s. My DH loves Mexican food so we were going to cut our visit at MK short and head over to Epcot. My DH wanted to spend more time there vs MK. So we were going to do 4 more things at MK and leave. Next was Buzz Lightyear and yes, I wiped the floor with him! Hehe Last year, my DH wiped the floor with all of us. This year, the beating was ugly! I had over 100,000 and my DH had a few thousand. I can’t remember the number exactly but it was something like that. Hehe So, it was time to use our fastpases for Space Mountain. A great ride as always! Next, we did the new Monsters Inc show. Cute, jokes kinda lame though. We got some Mickey Bars for a snack! I love Mickey Bars! They are my favorite! Haha I have a lot of favorites huh? ;) The last thing we wanted to do was the TTA ride. This is so fun! An oldy but goody and a favorite! We were done with MK and off to the monorail for Epcot!

We went straight to Mexico for our counter service lunch at Cantina de San Angel. We both ordered the Plato combination platter and Churros for dessert. Very good but yesterdays meal at Tangierine Café was much better!
Here's my DH during lunch:
WDW169-p.jpg

We rode El Rio de Tiempo and Maelstrom. We pretty much spent the rest of the day in the World exploring. It was awesome to take our time here! We explored and shopped the rest of the Worlds we didn’t get to yesterday. We started our drinks/snacks around the world but didn’t finish. We missed Great Britain as we got too full! However, I was finally able to try the schoolhouse bread in Norway! Very good! We watched two bands, Off Kilter and The British Invasion. Very fun!
Here’s some pic’s of our day:

WDW175-p.jpg

We had ADR’s at Chef de France at 5pm. We went there alittle early has it looked like it was going to storm big time! This was our first time here and we had a great dinner! We got a great table next to a window. We thought we had a great people watching view when the storm hit! Hehe Of course, the storm blew over. No fun! Anyway, I ordered the French Menu which came with french onion soup, rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and crème brulee. My DH ordered the french imported cheese plate, seared salmon and crème brulee. Yes, we love crème brulee! This crème brulee was huge! The biggest serving I’ve ever seen! I hate to admit this but I could not finish it! Our meal was very pleasant and enjoyable. The food was very good not Le Cellier good. We both thought that it was fairly plain, not very seasoned or spicy. We decided it must be a french thing.
Here's my at Chef De France with my French Onion soup:
WDW178-p.jpg

So, we continued on with exploring the World. Then, we watched the new Canadian movie and then headed up to Future World. We had just enough time before Future World closed to do Figment! We played around in the Imagination Building for alittle while.
Here’s a silly pic!
kodakEpcotLT.jpg

My DH wanted to do Mission Space and Test Track again but he had a tummy ache so we just shopped in Mouse Gears and took some pic’s.

WDW189-p.jpg

It was getting to be 8ish so we started looking for a good spot to watch Illuminations. This has always been my biggest challenge here, after all the times I’ve been here, I do not yet have a favorite spot. Well, my DH found a great spot! Sorry, I cannot tell! Hehe We’ll definitely try to get that spot next time. I also took some more pic's while we were waiting:
WDW192-p.jpg

WDW196-p.jpg

While we were waiting, we were sitting next to this family from India “ish”. My DH wanted me to tell you this story as he thinks it was so funny! Well, I was sitting next the middle aged ish man, his wife was sitting next to him then an older man next to her, one of them’s father I would imagine. Anyway, the man sitting next to me would not stop talking. He seriously talked non stop. I said to my DH what subject could one talk about that much! They were speaking Arabic or something. It was mildly annoying and funny at the same time. What was even funnier was the fact that he would “pass gas”, sometimes loud and multiple passings, a polite way to explain it, without stopping talking! Not even a pause! He just kept on talking! After awhile my DH offered to trade spots so I wouldn’t have to smell anything! :lmao: :rotfl2:
We were laughing so hard! We started to remember the movie, Along Came Polly and started laughing harder! You know that scene where Sandy (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) sharted? :roll Anyway, Illuminations started and finally I finally got to watch it without obstructions. Great show! I always feel so peaceful after that show. The peacefulness lasts about as long as it takes to get to the main walkway to exit Epcot! :scared1: The dreaded mass exodus of Epcot! Our original plan was to ride the monorail to MK and watch Wishes again as it was MK’s EMH tonight. However, I was starting not to feel very good. I felt the “sicky” feeling coming on. So, we decided I needed to go to bed. I was alittle sad as there was a Dis meet scheduled to watch Wishes together but when your sick, not much you can do. So, off we went back to POFQ and we went to bed.

We felt we were able to spend a lot of time in this park on this trip but still we did not do everything. We missed Mission Space and Honey I shrunk the Audience, in addition to a lot of stuff in the Innovation buildings. But I guess that’s what keeps us coming back. This was our last day in the parks. Tomorrow we had golf and pool time scheduled.

Lisa-

Another great installment as always! I have been slacking on reading everyone's trip reports as my trip gets closer- seems like so many things creep into the way :confused3

Anyway, that story about the passing gas man- HYSTERICAL! I think it's mostly funny because I KNOW that everyone who read it, pictured it in their mind. I can so see that happening to me and my DM on our trip, and I know that I would never be able to contain myself from laughing. Ah, just anoter Disney moment I suppose.

Sorry to hear that your French meal was kind of bland- except for the creme brulee of course. I am a total creme brulee sucker  I have to admit, when I went to France one summe, I don't remember the food being overly tasty there either. It wasn't bad, but spiced really well or anything. To each thier own I guess.

Oh, and by the way, I love that Peter Pan shirt.

Great pics too :goodvibes

Love any report where passing gas is talked about. :lmao:

sounds like a nice time at Epcot.

Sounds like a great day.:thumbsup2

Man passing gas next to you:scared1: :scared:

I love your Peter Pan tank top.Super cute.:goodvibes

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the gas story! It still cracks us up!:rotfl:
We were thinking the bland food was a french thing. It was good, just not overly flavorful or spiced. I'm sure your DM and you will run into some funny stuff! We certainly noticed more with just the two of us vs. having the kids with us and paying attention to what they were doing. Alot of people watching....pure entertainment! :rotfl2:

That man and his gas issues still crack us up! Pure entertainment! It was a fun way to wait for Illunimations!

Sounds like a great day.:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Glad you enjoyed the story! We did have a great day! It went way too fast! As I'm writing this TR, it seems like it was faster than it did! Like it was months and months ago!

Enjoyed reading your report. We recently took a trip without kids - it's a much different trip with just two adults, isn't it?

It sure was! It was completely different to be able to slow down and go at our pace for the "boring adult stuff". We were able to smell the roses and notice alot of things/details that we miss when we're focused on kids. We had such a great time and it went way too fast!

Day 6:

Our last full day! This day comes too fast! Especially when you wake up like I did! Sick! I had a fever and basically felt terrible! My DH called the golf course and cancelled our tee time. Very disappointing as this was the course that I picked out and was looking forward to playing it! Oh, well so I took some meds and sleep in. I woke up feeling not much better but didn’t want to waste our last day in WDW sleeping so I sucked it up. We drove over to the Poly to get Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks! We decided to go ahead with our plan and rent a Sea Raycer at the Poly. It was very enjoyable boating around. I took some cool pictures.

WDW204-p.jpg

Look what a pilot was doing!
WDW208-p.jpg

So, we did a little shopping in the Poly. We bought a Hawaiian music CD and I picked out a hooded sweatshirt.
I had to take this picture of my DH:
WDW228-p.jpg

We went to DTD to pickup a few souvees and gifts for the kids then we went back to POFQ. We changed into our swimsuits and filled up our refillable mug, which we haven’t used since our second day! :roll We chilled by the pool and relaxed. I think the coldish water helped break my fever cuz after that I did feel alittle better. We hung out by the pool for along time! We went back and I took a nap and my DH watched the showdown between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. I woke up and watched the showdown too! Even though I’m a huge Tiger fan, I’m also a Phil fan and he has never beat Tiger head to head before so I was rooting for Phil! And Phil won! :woohoo

We still weren’t hungry for lunch so we decided to skip lunch. I think it was a combination of my being sick and us eating so much with the dining plan! We decided to shower and go explore the resorts. I wanted to show my DH my second favorite moderate, the Caribbean Beach before going to AKL for dinner.
Here’s me chilling at the CBR!
WDW229-p.jpg

We got some Mickey Bars at CBR for a snack! I just love those things! On our way to AKL, we swung by CSR so my DH could look at this resort too! It was fun resort hopping! We explored AKL, watched the animals and found some trails. I didn’t know that if you go to the pool area, there are more areas to animal watch! Very cool! We talked about going to the bonfire in the back after dinner but we both forgot about it!

We decided to check in for dinner even though we were early as it was so crowded. My DH’s kidney stone was bothering him tonight so we considered leaving but we did need to eat as we hadn’t eaten all day. We ended up waiting along time! We waited past our ADR time and finally we were seated. Our meal was okay but not at all as good as I remembered it. We were alittle disappointed in the food and the atmosphere. It was so loud and bright. I remember the lights were turned down in the past for quieter more relaxing atmosphere. We decided this restaurant was not a do over as we were both a little disappointed. Also, it could have been that we were both not feeling great either. We had planned to enjoy some nightlife at Pleasure Island after dinner but we both were not up to it! We ended up going back to our room and going to bed!

Sorry to hear you were sick on your last day! Sounds like you were still able to enjoy bits of it however. What restaurant at AKL did you eat at? When my husband and I were there in September we kept planning to spend an evening at DTD. All we managed was dinner or a bit of shopping. We just ended up being too tired to enjoy some of the evening activities!

sounds like a fun last day. too bad you weren't feeling great. Sorry you didn't like your dinner, I am going there in January hopefully I will enjoy it.

Oh no! It's awful to be sick in Disney.I am glad you felt well enough to resort hop.I hope to do that in January.:goodvibes Oh I almost forgot..the sea raycer sounds fun.:thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes We had dinner at Boma. It was okay but we probably won't be back. I've been before and it was not as good this time. Every year we plan on trying to spend some adult time in DTD and it just never works out as we're also too tired! :rolleyes1
