Unsure of exactly how the AAA rate works - does it apply to room only reservations?

They have room only discounts. The rates are posted here on mousesavers. If you call CRO you can get the AAA discount on room only reservations.

They have packages that are discounted too. But you have to book with an AAA Travel Agent to get that.

I never booked with AAA, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps.

My parents are DVC members, we usually go with them.

My husband "MIGHT" be headed down to Florida in January for a conference. So, in a desperate attempt to see if we can go with him ( please, please, please ) I have been poking around looking at room only rates. I'm not too experienced in code watching and AAA discounts. I've never booked a WDW vacation before in my life. That's why I asked for someone to correct me if I was wrong in my answer to the OP.
