Yee Haw! Going to HHI!

I'm doing the happy dance today! We were able to book a 2-bedroom at HHI for Labor Day weekend, and I'm just delighted. We recently moved to South Carolina and have been itching to visit Hilton Head. Since it can be hard to get in, we figured we might have to "settle" and stay...gasp!...at a non-Disney property. But great news! No settling! We're in, and now I can begin planning. Just had to share.

Great time to go. We occationally drive over to HHI just to visit the resort, get lunch at the Grill (LOVE those Joyceburgers!) and shop in the store.

There is a great little Italian place across the highway from the resort. It's called Pazzo (If I remember correctly) and we found it yummy. Ask the CMs to help.

Hope to stay over there again soon!

Hopefully, you'll LOVE the resort at least half as much as we do. Have fun!

Great Job! Congratulations....we went in 2007.

Don't try the fish place on the left over the bridge from the resort...it was a bit nasty to mediocre.

Try to swing a fishing trip with Scott. I think it was back-country fishing tours. He has amazing stories to tell and he took us to see the dolphins before fishing. I think he works or is contracted with Disney to do the fishing tours.

He did a great job helping us fish...that included my Father-In law and Son.

On our 2nd fish trip, I caught a 35lb Cobia....he took half and I took the other and grilled it up for dinner that night. Fresh seafood!!! Way to much fish...but we tried to eat as much as we could.

Thanks for all the comments and tips! I will begin a notebook right now. Italian food is my favorite, so I was really glad to hear about that restaurant. Fishing sounds fun too! Gotta love the Disboards for friendly people!

If you like Sushi I highly recommend a place called Fancy Q's. It is in a shopping center north island that has a Home Goods and movie theater in it...yum!
