YC vs. BC Question

Do all the 2 Queen rooms at YC have the extra bed- day bed (for child/tiny adult)

What about at BC?

I am under the impression at YC they ALL do... but at BC some don't.

Thanks!

No. We were at YC last August and didn't have a day bed.

Thanks! Every review of YC I read has a daybed. Ugh...DS has Aspergers and NEEDS his own bed. Often we will bring an inflatable, but would prefer an "actual" bed. There are only 4 of us, but the extra bed is key.... and no, I do not like POR- and don't want to stay in a Royal Room-- I hate the theme, etc.

Any advice on getting a daybed with only 4 people in a room?

You can ask for a rollaway and they'll bring one for you. Its just a twin size bed that can be pushed up out of the way during the day. We used one at BC last year.

Not sure about BC but at YC CL have had daybed 2 out of 3 times. Same floor, same hallway. It was the most recent stay - Dec 2013 - that there was no daybed.

Is there an extra charge for a rollaway? If so, I guess I will just bring the trusty air mattress- lol

On your reservation note that you need a day bed and explain why. Since it's a medical condition I believe you will get one. Be sure it's noted on your reservation.
At check in I'd also mention that you've requested a day bed due to your sons Aspergers. It should be fine. But to answer about cot, no extra charge. Just request at front desk if for some reason you didn't get the day bed. If you phone housekeeping (I've heard) they will try to tell you it's an extra charge  it isn't.

Thanks Sue M. An air mattress is hard to sleep on for more than a night or two IMO- they always seem to lose air too. I always feel bad for my poor little guy sleeping on it. I will try to book my room and state the accommodation needed when I book- and when I check in.

Previous posters are correct- not all of the rooms at Beach Club or Yacht Club have daybeds. I have not heard from anyone who knows what the percentage of daybeds is in either resort, but anecdotally, I suspect there are more at the Yacht Club.

As Sue M indicates, if your room does not have a daybed, you may request a rollaway cot which should be provided free of charge.

Great suggestion to mention why you need a daybed when you add the request to your reservation, and again when you are checking in.

Hope you have a great trip!
