My DW and I are at the YC December 11th to 18th for our first no kids trip. We'll be celebrating our 1st anniversary, and because the kids went with us to WDW last year, we'll actually be kind of celebrating our honeymoon too. :rolleyes1

OK, so I've stayed at the YC a bunch of time, both with standard views and water views. I've never really made a room request before... I've just been happy with what we got. This time I have booked a standard view and I was wonder what DIS'ers might suggest we request.

Also, we've never stayed in early December. What are our chances of getting upgraded? Does an upgrade to concierge happen very often?

Thanks
Ty

We had room 4160 in August. It was a standard view room with 2 queen beds. The balcony overlooks the wedding gazebo and you have a partial view of the Boardwalk. We loved it.

I'm guessing the possibility of an upgrade to concierge will be very slim. Discounts were almost non-existent for YC in general, and concierge in particular. That tends to indicate a pretty high census for that resort.

Could be completely wrong and some pixiedust could just land on you and your DW! :D

We asked for a quiet room in October and got room 3184 that adjoined a multi-story courtyard and overlooked the wedding gazebo. Only one wall adjoined another room, and it had a king sized bed. It was perfect.
